15th Sep 2023 (7 mo. ago)Avoid at all costs. They dealt with the conveyancing when we sold one house and would have done for the buying of a new one had we not sacked them first. They were slow and totally unproactive. At best they acted like an expensive post box. The final straw was when they "forgot" to hand over a significant deposit of tens of thousands of pounds we had paid to them for onward transmission to a major nationwide house builder as an essential part of the contract. This only came to light when I asked for confirmation of receipt of the money from the builder weeks after it was due but they said they hadn't received it. Initially I thought the builder was at fault but then a light bulb moment made me think it was Deans and who knows how much longer Deans would have sat on our money had I not proactively intervened. When I asked for an explanation Deans said "they weren't asked" for the deposit. Feeble. £200 compensation was nowhere enough for the stress caused. It was only by the exceptional customer service from the nationwide house builder that we didn't lose the house.
14th Mar 2024 (7 weeks ago)Lack of communication and not pro-active as I had to instigate them doing anything. Pricing is terrible everything is an extra add on with vat on everything. Too expensive for lack of contact and or proactivity.

Even with a sale fall through and having to go back on the market, they helped ease the upset of what was a really upsetting time, found me a new buyer and completed 6 weeks later. Cannot fault their service, Caitlin Meaney was my negotiator and made me feel like nothing was too much trouble and gave fantastic advice / came across very knowledgeable on the market for the area and time I was selling. Would 100% recommend Warners, and have already done so to a few also looking to sell. I met with around 4 estate agencies total and Warners were the clear choice from the start. Thanks so much for all your help! We now have sold our flat and purchased our forever family home and couldn’t have done it without your help.

11th Mar 2021 (3 years ago)Not great - would not use again. Did nothing to find interested parties in first few weeks until I had to call a senior team member to complain... Not ideal - feel like they had too much work to handle mine at the time. Would have fathered they had just said they were too busy than wait too I was stressed and lost out on buyers.
12th Sep 2023 (7 mo. ago)We had exceptional service from Thorntons from start to finish. Our house sold in 4 weeks and the sales team were just so professional. Communication throughout the process was excellent and once we accepted the offer on our house the legal team at Thorntons were equally exceptional. Our solicitor was always on hand to answer our questions and provide us with best advice. Thank you for taking the stress out of selling a house!

Without Gillian Black's professionalism ,calmness,communication and advice , we doubt the process would have ended successfully.At all times Gillian was responsive,offered clarification and reassurance when appropriate and excellent service in every way.Gillian was a total rock in a difficult process. We would highly recommend Urquharts. We doubt you could better.

13th Apr 2024 (18 days ago)I felt we had a very rocky start with the main contractions dealing with leaving. I had to chase mostly for feed back on viewings and I never felt that communication was as it was promised in the beginning. It’s a difficult market so it’s hard to say what and how the flat would have sold price wise and time wise in a better market overall I would say average
