   I have rented a house via Slater Hogg & Howison for close to 6 years now. Over this time there's been certain repairs needing attention ie damp and black mould. I have kept this house in great condition but the issues date back before I moved in. On countless occasions, mainly from 2021-2024 I have been trying to get these fixed with no joy. I've made so many complaints and have complained to the Property Ombudsman. I am heavily pregnant with my first baby due in June and Slater Hogg & Howison have been aware of this since at least the start of the year, I was trying to get them to fix the issues before June when baby is due as stated in emails to them. My husband contacted Slater Hogg to get an update on the repairs on 29th April, they said the landlord 'was trying to get to the root of the problem with the damp and black mould'. I started Maternity leave on 30th April and that same day Sheriffs Officers came to my door to issue an evicition notice under the grounds the landlord 'intends' to sell in July!! No warning inadvance at all and such a brutal way to treat us, we've always paid rent on time, kept house amazing. We can see an email attached to the evicition notice dated 11th April from Shona McCulloch of the Slater Hogg & Howison Dennistoun branch to say she 'would be delighted' to help sell the property when the landlord is ready. My baby is due in June and Slater Hogg & Howison are delighted to make a newborn baby homeless. This is a revenge evicition because I've been asking to get all the repairs done and i have all the years of proof. It's so unbelievably stressful to be going through this. I do not recommend Slater Hogg & Howison because they are extremely cruel.... Read more

   Jason and his team, were excellant from start to finish. Could not complain. Standard of Communication was first class, helped me in more ways than one, through providing advice and suppport with any questions I had for them.    Countrywide have provided a great service and managed to sell our rental property within 3 weeks. I liked that they are advertising online but also still provide cards in their window for older generations who don't have smartphones. We were kept updated throughout the process with emails to let us know when viewings were taking place and were given updates as to how they went. I'm really happy we went with them.... Read more

   I cannot recommend Joyce and the team at Dallas McMillan highly enough. They were incredibly helpful to me while I was managing the will and estate of an elderly relative who was suffering from senility and later passed away.     BE VERY CAREFUL!!! Once these lot have your deposit they ignore you. We agreed to buy a buy to let from these and went through the mortgage application with our own agent. We then found out they had overvalued thr property by a fair amount, not allowing us to get a mortgage. We were then told we had to use their mortgage person, which cost us another £300 but we had no option. They also could not get us a mortgage because the value was less than 50k. Upon telling these lot, they are now ignoring our calls, you can't speak to the refund team as only on email, no managers have phones and they won't give us our deposit back even though it states we are entitled to it back for following their stipulations. I'm no being ignored by the salesman Jack and no one will return emails etc. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman too, to highlight this appalling service and blatant overvalued to gain mortgage applicants. They had the same listing on their site for £52,500 and £46,000. We found this after we had agreed a price. So be very careful not to deal with these people. They are rude and have total lack of customer service once they have your deposit. Zero stars from me!!!... Read more
