31st Dec 2025 (11 weeks ago)D R Kivell, in our experience, perform very well. We have been involved with them on two fairly significant transactions, and have also recommended them to friends. On each occasion, the outcome has been significantly more successful than major, well known, prestigious firms, which seemed surprising? Their response times are far quicker than the major firms, too. I'm fairly cynical about estate agents in general, as they tend to make promises and predictions that they don't then actually achieve - but I can honestly say that D R Kivell, each time, have achieved what they promised, and in good time! David Kivell seems very professional - I'm from a legal and commercial property background, and I rather grilled him about whether his predictions were achievable, and he stuck to his guns, and achieved exactly what he'd said. They seem good at valuations, too. Peter Palmer seems more like a wise, experienced farmer, and therefore very friendly and helpful. And he's a good photographer. Geoff Lupton seems to be the very helpful and efficient guy who keeps everything on track. Based on our own experiences, I've formed a very high opinion of them.

Absolutely NO interest, personable approach or motivation in presentation! In short personality and sales approach of a cold fish!

Having carried out the recommended survey work on the exterior of the property, we were interested to find out how this had affected the value of the property. James very kindly carried out a valuation without any commitment knowing we had no intent in moving. He managed to carry out the survey on the day. Fabulous service, very grateful, thank you.

Steer well clear.- 25th Feb 2025 (1 year ago)Confident but not arrogant agent. Good knowledge of the area and was able to until confidence in me that she will do all she can to sell the property. Once on the market she arranged viewings very quickly, making me feel confident she is pushing my house to buyers and making it noticed. She provided good advice and guidance about offers leading to an asking price within and a bit above my expectations. She is proactive in the process of the sale now and I feel confident in her driving the sale to completion. Only draw back is the fee which is higher than all other agencies.

21st Feb 2025 (1 year ago)Disclaimer: We were looking for a commercial lease and did not proceed however we were impressed with the service and communication from Thomas. We cannot report on the experience after this point. We were interested in a property in Truro and had Thomas Hewitt show us around. He arrived promptly and was respectful. He gave us clear updates each step of the way after the viewing up until the heads of terms. Unfortunately due to external circumstances we were unable to pursue the lease beyond this point, however we were impressed with such frequent updates from the agent even if it's to say when I can expect a response to the questions we asked. Thank you for your time, hopefully we can be back in the future with our financials in order.

Extremely rude and arrogant staff. Please stay away. They don't seem to know the difference between rising damp and dirty marks on the wall. Totally unprofessional.
