2nd Mar 2019 (7 years ago)We are student at Durham University and we decided to rent a house. I called the estate agent and they agreed to send us the agreement and everything to rent this one house that we really liked. We were supposed to arrive a week later to submit the forms and pay deposit. When I got the papers, they confirmed with us that the house would be definitely be reserved for us. However, the morning we were supposed to hand in the papers, I got a short, badly articulated email saying that the property was no longer available and that we should look somewhere else. No explanation, nothing. We were angry because student accommodation is competitive and we lost so much time waiting for this house. Upon emailing them multiple times, they finally said that the previous tenants decided to stay for another year. Didn’t they confirm with the current tenants that they would be moving out? Why would they even list the house if that was an option? .Why send us the agreements and everything? They didn’t even bother trying to find us other options that we could stay at instead. All and all, I would never use this agent again because their service is absolutely terrible- 26th Nov 2019 (6 years ago)We can thoroughly recommend ‘Propology’ to sell your home. Both Bryony and Cherylle were extremely professional, keeping us informed when it was necessary but not in a way that was intrusive. They obviously know the market and were able to target a particular type of buyer for our house. The whole process was remarkably easy and stress free, due in part to their personal attention but nevertheless business like approach.
