Rosi and the team were excellent throughout, always keeping us updated and clearly explaining each stage. This made everything feel very straightforward and stress free, especially as it was my first time selling a property. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to use their services.
14th Dec 2025 (5 mo. ago)We have used Sturrock Armstrong and Thomson for our wills and for previous house sales and also when we moved house recently. Apart from a minor issue when our bid for a property arrived a few minutes after the deadline but was quickly resolved they were very good to deal with, kept us informed at all stages and were particularly attentive when we were arranging viewings for our house. Leonard and his team looked after us.
7th Jan 2026 (23 weeks ago)WARNING!! Richard murray acted as co executor having written my mothers will. He was not appointed by her but by her named executor. He sided and was partial to one group of beneficiaries over another. He chose the ones nearest the property of most help to him to side with, making his job easier. The family was fractured but he showed no ability to deal with this shutting down and refusing to engage with one side. Preferentially treating the other side. He went back on his legal advice reversing decisions that suited him. Including and implementing wishes he decided my mother made Verbally only to the one side of the family, the side he demonstrated favour with. When ‘wishes’ my mother had made to the other side were brought to him he dismissed them. Biased and unfair and cruel in his handling of the estate. Delaying the inheritance by permitting one beneficiary to live rent free in the property for some fourteen months post my mothers death. Not mentioned in the will, nor discussed. Between himself, his Company or my mother - but on the say so of the side he favoured! The implemented ‘say sos’ were decided without full disclosure or discussion or transparency and he was unaccountable in that He acted like a dictator refusing telephone calls , zoom meetings or email discussions. He dragged out a simple direct will into two years of hell, stress and unnecessary expense because he favoured and decided always in favour of one half of the beneficiaries over the other. Do not write a will with this Company. They have demonstrated they are incapable of writing one correctly , giving proper advice to my Mother , and incapable of implementing it as it’s written in any event. AVOID! It’s 2026 and there are still repercussions from Richard Murray @Connell&Connell’s mis writing and massive failures in executing our Mothers will. Save yourselves a whole lot of unprofessional and uncaring and biased,will handling and don’t use this man.

Although there were Googlemaps issues with my advert, he persevered with having Google fix the problem . His communication is excellent: prompt and courteous. The subcontractors he appoints for photography and home report are top quality. I would not hesitate to use his services again.

20th Jun 2025 (11 mo. ago)I have now worked with Strutt and Parker twice, first when purchasing my home last year and more recently when selling a family property. On both occasions, the team was exceptionally personable, supportive and attentive. They consistently went above and beyond, never making anything feel like too much trouble. Selling the family home was particularly emotional and throughout the process, the team demonstrated genuine kindness and understanding, which made an otherwise difficult experience much more manageable. Every member of the team played a part in the sale. It felt like working with an extension of the family as they all knew who I was and were able to assist promptly and effectively. I wholeheartedly recommend Strutt and Parker to anyone seeking an efficient, effective, supportive and compassionate estate agent in Edinburgh.
22nd Sep 2024 (1 year ago)We chose Gillespie Macandrew because we wanted the whole selling process (including the calculation of capital gains tax) to be under one roof. Gillespie Macandrew more than lived up to our expectations. The marketing, conveyancing and capital gains processes were all sequentially and logically implemented and there was always someone on hand to answer our questions. The stress involved in selling a property was greatly reduced, the sale went smoothly and efficiently, and we received a price well above the valuation.

Going forward with the house sale, Robert couldn't have been better, keeping me updated throughout the whole process, it was outstanding service and second to none. Thanks to the experience I received from Drummond Miller through Robert, I intend to use them again very soon when I sell my parents' house. Highly recommend without reservation

I conducted the viewings myself with the help of a family friend but Urquharts made the appointments while consulting with us over our availability. Advice was succinct yet with the reasoning clearly explained.- 12th Jul 2022 (3 years ago)Horrible agency, especially the agent's attitude when calling them. Faked the inventory report when I moved in, everything is a mess when I moved in.

From the start he felt like the right fit for us, easy to chat to and clearly knew his stuff. He took the time to understand what the place meant to us and personally guided us through everything without it ever feeling stressful. When it came to offers his advice was spot on and definitely helped us get the result we wanted. Throughout the whole process, it never felt like things were happening to us, we always felt part of it and in control. The buyer was found and an initial deal was concluded within the first few days so their network targeted the right people. Right throughout we were kept up to date and when he hit a slight bump they made sure the buyer was still on board. We would be very happy to recommend Watson Estate Agents.

Rhys was our next contact keeping us updated on viewers feedback and the offers that came in very quickly. The whole team at the Livingston office that we dealt with were friendly, helpful, professional and most importantly very good at what they do. I Very highly recommend Slater Hogg & Howison and will definitely use again.
