3rd Sep 2023 (7 mo. ago)I cannot rate Hilton King and Locke highly enough, particularly Jenny Hall (Head of Lettings). From my first contact with Jenny, she has gone above and beyond to find a wonderful home for my wife and I to rent. Unlike many of the other estate agents I had spent weeks trying to contact to arrange viewings, Jenny got back to me almost immediately and booked me into to see two properties at short notice – the first of which we loved and ultimately rented. This was particularly helpful because my wife and I had only a short amount of time to find a property to rent and were returning from having lived overseas for two years. Jenny was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and transparent which was also very reassuring for me as a tenet. Once we moved into the property, Jenny and the entire Hilton Locke and King team have been fantastic in resolving a few teething problems which are an inevitable part of renting any property. Not only did Jenny work tirelessly to coordinate between us and the landlord but she also intervened with several third parties to help get our issue resolved. The issues were dealt with promptly and with great sensitivity and care. More than that, Jenny was incredibly personable with my wife, to the extent that she went as far as to buy my wife flowers – something which was incredibly appreciated as we waited for an issue to be resolved. I really cannot rate Hilton Locke and King highly enough. Having previously had some bad experiences renting, I never thought that I would be writing such a positive review for an estate agent. If you are looking for a property to rent in and around the Langley area as we were, however, Hilton Locke and King come strongly recommended.

17th Jan 2022 (2 years ago)Unfortunately, they couldn't find a buyer for my stunning flat themselves and had to enlist an outside estate agent, and had me stump up extra money to help compensate them. So they got it done after the end of the contact term, but it cost me £thousands more. This was after they earlier had asked me to agree to halt showings as demanded by an earlier (lower) offer that I reluctantly accepted. That buyer ended up walking weeks later, wasting precious time that could have been spent finding a real buyer. Estate agents are not your friend. No matter how charming they appear before their engagement contract is signed, once you sign it, they revert to their true mercenary selves, pressuring you to accept offers well below the very valuation they provided, because their only loyalty is to earning their fee. Don't get fooled. Wish I never used this JDW office.
6th Apr 2024 (26 days ago)The team at Toomey looked after one of my properties (rental) and helped with the sale of the same property after a few years. It means I got to work with Laura (and Kim) on the rental side and with Frank during the sales process. Suffice to say the entire team are consummate professionals who provide a very unique and custom service all round. Having moved the property from a larger franchise estate agent, the service provided by the team at Toomey was by far better and value for money. Laura and Kim oft go over and beyond what they're supposed to do and on numerous occasions helped solve some pretty tricky issues. The sales process was equally professional and friendly with Frank demonstrating good knowledge of the housing market in the area & an uncanny ability to match buyers and sellers effectively. His commitment to both buyer and seller is unparalleled and he remained engaged throughout a very tricky sale. It's a bitter sweet moment that our contractual relationship with this team has come to an end. I unreservedly recommend the team at Toomey and wish them all the best for the future.- 4th May 2022 (1 year ago)Fantastic service and very easy to work with. 15th Nov 2023 (24 weeks ago)Gemma Sampson of Savills was brilliant. We live in the US full time and bought a holiday home in Amersham. Gemma was very responsive to all of our questions (and there were many!) since we were unfamiliar with the home buying process. She anticipated our needs and preferences from the start, knew the inventory and the area, and walked us through the entire process with grace, patience, efficiency and good natured reassurance when we needed it. From the start, Gemma was a joy to work with and we highly recommend her.

21st Sep 2022 (1 year ago)Rented a property through Jackson Howe and was made to feel unwelcome by the landlord and their family. Following this began to receive calls from JH suggesting and asking if I should leave early based on 'subsidence' in the property and my safety, subsidence was known at the start of the rental period and didn't noticeable change during the three months I stayed. After a matter of days I began to feel so uncomfortable that I asked to mutually end the lease agreement with the landlord after three months, when my minimum rent period was six months, to leave from the place that I stayed at. I am not sure if JH was working with the landlord to get me to move on or whether they were an unfortunate and unknowing part of the landlord (and landlords family) to get me out of the property. This experience has left a very unpleasant taste in my mouth.

14th Dec 2023 (20 weeks ago)Our warehouse lease process was assigned to Kempton Carr Croft property agent Luke Bennett. Completion took longer than anticipated, and it was down to a few required procedures from the landlord's side. During the delay, Luke is quite responsive and easy to reach out to. This communication gave us comfort to know where we are and continue to wait for completion. We are now settling in the new warehouse, and thanks to all the support we had from Luke.
28th Mar 2024 (5 weeks ago)I would give 0 stars at this point moved in before Christmas and we still haven’t been told rent or any bills what so ever which is gonna leave anyone in debt who lives here aswell every tenant in my building is unhappy with the service of galaxy the building is amazing but the service help and staff is utterly awful also not to mention the fact that when I was calling 35mins before they shut there was 2 staff members in there and they were ignoring the phone absolutely disgusting and disrespectful be careful choosing these guys don’t get stuck in the same situation as myself

After four months of waiting, the salesman failed to inform us that the sale wasn't proceeding. The salesman didn't bothrt to inquire about our preferences or inform us that the buyer had withdrawn. I'm extremely dissatisfied with their unprofessional service.

3rd Oct 2023 (6 mo. ago)They handled my sale very professionally and in what is normally a stressful experience for a seller and provided great support in constantly providing feedback on viewings and other advice as the sales progressed. When it came down to the closing stages they were extremely proactive in interacting with the other agent and all parties solicitors in keeping things moving. All the staff were so professional and very friendly and helped to guide me through everything. I would strongly recommend Robertson's to anyone looking to sell, and even to those wishing to buy a property. 10 out of 10!
