We will be forever grateful. Particular thanks to Chris and his phenomenal communication, Toby for showing us the property (3 times!) and Alex for his after hours calls to pass our offer on. Cannot rate these guys highly enough!

10th Jan 2025 (12 days ago)Negative Review of Bycroft Estate I want to share my absolutely appalling experience with Bycroft Estate. This experience was not just disappointing but an example of how customer service should never be conducted. ????? First of all, the service was extremely unprofessional. Each new conversation was conducted with different agents who seemingly had no access to prior information about my inquiry. ????? This created an impression of complete chaos, inconsistency, and, frankly, a total waste of time. Secondly, I faced demonstrative dissatisfaction and even contempt because I am not local. ???? This is utterly unacceptable and could be classified as discrimination based on origin, which goes against the principles of equality and non-discrimination established in UK law. ?????????? Instead of providing assistance and quality service, I was left with nothing but stress and wasted time. ????? This is outrageous, especially considering that this agency operates in a field that demands a high level of professionalism and client trust. I am sharing this review solely to warn others who are looking for quality service, respect for clients, and professionalism in the real estate field. People deserve competence and accountability in every aspect of their interactions. ???????? I urge anyone who values their time, peace of mind, and dignity to stay as far away from Bycroft Estate as possible. ???????? This is my personal experience! ?? Whilst it quickly became clear the property was going to require too much work and was a bit small for us, we really enjoyed speaking with Darren who showed us around. A really lovely guy who was helpful in us thinking about our next steps in house hunting. I wouldn’t hesitate to use this estate agent based on our experience today.

18th Mar 2024 (10 mo. ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

Their guidance through the process made everything smooth and stress free and the team were always friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. Thanks to their expertise we received an offer quickly and were kept updated through the whole process by the team. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to buy or sell a property.
20th Dec 2024 (5 weeks ago)Valued property then when we signed with them they immediately wanted us to reduce it. They did not arrange a single viewing in 3 months . Said it was our fault for not reducing the price. Said they had tried to contact us.But only to arrange the EPC which had expired.

30th Nov 2024 (8 weeks ago)We have used Aldreds before and they were excellent but this time round they only seemed to communicate with us when we contacted them, however they were always quick to reply, courteous and helpful. Regarding marketing,we have no idea what efforts were made to sell the property, other than it was online and when we asked about this we were told mail shots were sent out, but no updates were ever sent to us. Disappointed that we have not sold and a rethink now required.
