They were confident in the service they were providing and I felt throughout that they were giving me an accurate appraisal rather than saying what they thought I wanted to hear. They were always on time, responded quickly and helpfully to communications from me- including altering times at short notice to suit me. The viewing process was well managed. The whole team made the whole process surprise-free and painless.

26th May 2026 (18 days ago)My main engagement has been with John G and his team from a letting point of view. From my perspective as someone that has worked with the likes of Martin & Co, Purple Bricks and god knows how many other agents that resulted in me working as well directly with the tenants in the end I very much took away the following: 1. Level of professionalism when engaging early days in terms of providing clear feedback i.e. the status of the house, what really needed doing etc. 2. Getting me market value regarding the rent - in previous scenarios (Martin & Co) seemed to be acting on behalf of the tenant as oppose to getting me the best value (despite the fact that they would make more as a result) 3. Reputable organisation that did not steal rent money (again Martin & Co cheated me out of a months rent indicating that the tenants had not paid - upon validation with the tenants (who shared a back statement to prove it). 4. Easy to work with and friendly team 5. Timely in terms of following up on securing rent money and getting this paid Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable agent for buying and / or letting.

The process can be gruelling and lengthy however Devon was always in touch and would get back to me regarding queries promptly. I feel he is a credit to your branch and I have been overall very pleased with how he dealt with our our purchase.
3rd Jun 2026 (10 days ago)Just sold our house using Sleigh and Son Solicitors in Denton and an excellent service was provided. Calls answered quickly and return calls made promptly. Not having sold a house in over 20 years the quantity of documentation was a surprise but Vicky, Paula and Rhea provided helpful notes and guidance when required. So Impressed with their service we are using them for our house purchase as well. Highly recommended.

24th Mar 2026 (12 weeks ago)Very disappointed with my experience. I was interested in a property they advertised and made several attempts to arrange a viewing. Over the last 2 months I called around 10 times, but every time I was given unclear information. On my last call, I was told the property had already been sold without anyone informing me earlier. In my experience, the staff were not honest and the communication was very unprofessional. For some reason, she picked up the phone but didn't say 'Hello', and then pressed me for the full postcode of a property listed on Rightmove even though the agent hasn't listed it. She clearly struggled with English and simply fobbed me off. Woeful agents.

We bought our first home here, and the staff were so friendly and kept us informed of even the smallest changes or progression. They were always available for calls, questions, and responded to emails quickly. Thanks to them, the whole process went so smoothly. Can’t thank them enough! I’d highly recommend them. Sharon and Vicky have been so lovely, and the experience has genuinely felt so personalised, even though they deal with lots of other people. Thank you everyone!

Buying or selling a house can be a stressful process, but the team at Thornley Groves were consistently professional, supportive, and impressive throughout. Chris, the branch manager, initially helped us with putting in our offer and was fair, transparent, and professional from the outset, which immediately gave us confidence in the process. Claire regularly checked in with both us and the vendor to ensure everyone was aligned and that all paperwork was progressing promptly. This made us feel well supported and helped keep things moving quickly without unnecessary delays. As we were part of a chain, there were some challenges in getting the top and bottom of the chain to agree on a completion date. Jamie, who originally showed us the property, was exceptional in handling this. She took the initiative to draft a detailed email, bringing all parties together, and used her professionalism and experience to resolve the situation and secure an agreed completion date. Her efforts were instrumental in ensuring a smooth conclusion to the transaction. Overall, I cannot recommend the team at Thornley Groves highly enough.
