23rd Aug 2023 (1 year ago)Ever since being a tenant in my current accommodation nearing 6 years I have nothing bad to say. Very reassuring from the get go, as a nervous, unsure 1st time tenant. Have helped guide myself, struck great communication on behalf of myself with my landlady. Nothing is ever a problem either if something needs to be done.

4th Nov 2024 (10 weeks ago)I would stay well clear of Fine & Country in Bicester. They promise way more than can deliver. Property was well overpriced going into listing based on their recommendation. They promised to never send any junior agents who knew nothing about the property and then proceeded to do just that the very first weekend of showings. The communication was very poor and only received when we asked for an update. Very few showings and no offers. After four months of this nonsense, we terminated the listing and moved on to another agent.

12th Dec 2024 (5 weeks ago)PLEASE AVOID THIS AGENT AT ALL COSTS. 1. Lack of Ethics and Neglecting Tenant Health: We have sent countless emails over the past two years, requesting that they address the mould problem in the property, which was present when we moved in. Despite repeatedly mentioning how the mould was seriously affecting our health, they have chosen to ignore us. As a basic human decency issue, it’s difficult to understand how they can disregard a health hazard and allow tenants to live in such poor conditions. 2. Unjustified and Excessive Charges: As several other reviews have noted, we spent over £300 on professional cleaning at checkout and left the property in a significantly better condition than when we moved in. However, Moretons charged us an additional £200+ for “recleaning,” which feels like a scam. Given the state of the property when we checked in, I strongly suspect that this “recleaning” never even took place. 3. Unfair Deposit Deductions: On top of the cleaning charges, they deducted numerous unreasonable items from our deposit. We went through months of disputes with the deposit scheme and, in the end, received back most of what we were rightfully owed—but this was a drawn-out and stressful process. If you’re already dealing with this agent, I highly recommend you challenge any unfair charges and go through the dispute process to reclaim what you are entitled to. We cannot allow such unethical agents to continue operating without consequence in the UK, and we must hold them accountable for their actions.

31st Jul 2024 (24 weeks ago)Our overall experience with Bettermove is one of disappointment. They sold a model whereby they would market our property to their pool of investors. Essentially they put our house on Rightmove for a slightly higher price then they said they would pay us and left it there. I had to chase for updates and when they responded it was to say that their investors thought the price was an issue! So why didnt you speak to us about that and say what we thought to reducing. I dont actually think they've got investors, just people who want a cash purchase in certain areas. Fortunately we didn't pay Bettermove any money for their services and we ended the contract as soon as we could

Liam was extremely knowledgeable, clued in on the local area and how to market the property to its best effect. The property was uploaded Thurs evening and by Monday afternoon, e.g. 4 days later we had received 6 viewings and an offer over the starting price. This experience far outweighed our expectations and Liam is a real pro in an industry that can been seen as somewhat cut throat. Liam set realistic expectations and over delivered on those expectations. I would highly recommend The Agency UK as a result. Thank you ????
