Emily and Ellie were especially a pleasure to work with: they both provided us with a really smooth and efficient service from passing on our initial offer, through property viewing, referencing to contract signing and handing us the keys to our lovely new home. They even surprised us with a personalised Home Move Box, which was such a nice touch and made us feel so welcome. I and my husband can only recommend Emily, Ellie and their Lettings Team to other prospective lettings customers looking for a great service. I would also like to give a big shout out for Gemma for her amazingly efficient and expert mortgage advice and matching us with the best mortgage lenders. I can’t thank everyone at Brown&Merry Tring enough for taking property matters to the next level.

24th May 2023 (2 years ago)Very poor level of service from day one until departure. Failed to look after our best interests as customers paying rent and basically had to deal with poor customer service throughout. Approach with extreme caution.
3rd Feb 2022 (4 years ago)First rate customer service from Vanessa and Hadley. Having known both of them for a number of years I can honestly say that they both display a sense of pride and care in their ability to look after people and do what best for their client, nothing seems too much trouble for them. A quality sadly lacking in a lot of the industry. Highly recommended.

He answered all my questions thoroughly and made the whole process feel relaxed and enjoyable rather than stressful. It’s clear that Lucas truly cares about his clients and takes pride in his work. 19th Dec 2024 (1 year ago)What are the estate agent playing at, they are now selling a 4 bed house in Elder way Ampthill for £40000 over valuation price, this is a shared ownership property only recently valued at £510,000 Are they that desperate.. And a building society or bank will have a say on this, beware as you could lose thousands of pounds

Laura in particular went over & above to help at every turn, & is a great ambassador for this co. Not often you can say this with agents, but hard recommend!
3rd Apr 2026 (5 weeks ago)We instructed Deacon White in Dunstable as we purchased the house through them a few years previously all your and was impressed with the way the transaction was handled. We mainly dealt with Eliot this time and can honestly say he went way over and above what a typical estate agent would do. The transaction had its ups and downs ( not Deacon Whites fault) and has finally gone through. Eliot was not only professional and curious he was available out of office hours to give reassurance when needed. When I got stressed and upset he was so calm. If you are unsure who to instruct or purchase give these guys a chance as it’s rare to find an estate agent who goes that extra mile. Thank you for all you have done Ray and Leigh

6th Apr 2026 (29 days ago)Having been on the Market with another agent for 20 weeks and little to now viewings. We changed to Urban and Rural. They listened to my concerns and reassured me that they are different. They actively seek people your property and keep you updated. I have nothing but positive things to say about the whole team. From Brad who helped me with queries at the beginning. Then Molly was our agent who was so helpful and always on hand to answer questions. I whole heartedly recommend Urban and Rural. Thanks guys Dean and Cath.

10th May 2022 (3 years ago)1st Choice a friendly family run business always maintained excellent communication which I really liked, if I had any problem weekday, weekend, or on a holiday, Kelly would reply back to my messages for support very quickly and same day. When I moved in to the property it was fully refurbished to an excellent standard. One time during winter I had a problem with my boiler with no heating for a few days. I made one call to 1st Choice and Mark dropped off some electric heaters, untill we got it fixed through Mear's. Anyone looking for property to rent then I would definatley recommend 1st Choice.

27th Mar 2026 (6 weeks ago)THE RUDEST ESTATE AGENT I HAVE EVER COME ACCROSS IN MY LIFE! Usually you would expect to be welcomed to to a property you are looking to buy, invited to park on the drive so you can see what it would be like to live there. Not Claudia Romano, who arrives 1 minute before the appointment, shouting out of her car door, "I'M THE ESTATE AGENT SO I GET TO PARK THERE!". And then, once we have driven around and finally found somewhere to park, has the cheek to tell us that we're late and we will not have a full appointment - when we were there first! Prospective sellers - avoid at all costs!!!

We had questions about the property and Kevin responded immediately with the answer or would find out and come back to us quickly, he liaised with the vendor and solicitor throughout the process hence a smooth a stress free transaction. I would have no hesitation in recommending Layco

3rd Apr 2026 (5 weeks ago)A friendly person, very knowledgeable but promised us our asking price, said he wouldn’t move from the asking price & that was house is worth it all day long. First offer that came in was 5k lower than the asking price & he said the buyers will not budge. I had a strong feeling that the asking price wasn’t pushed enough. This resulted in me having to borrow 5k to cover my costs due to this short fall. Agent also sided with the buyer when it came to paying their solicitor a fee to exchange/complete on the same day & thought that it wasn’t fair. Im paying you a substantial amount to sell my property, the buyer isn’t paying you. What their solicitor decides cost wise, is between them, not us. I found these things leaving a very sour taste for me.
