Although at this time we didn`t move forward - it was our decision - but would like to mention they have threated with utmost professionalism throughout. David handled a large open house day whilst having time to get to know to everyone and their situation and went well beyond an agent`s duties just sell the house. I would like to also say the prompt replies from were always exemplary. More than often buyers have to constantly chase messages, but with them i was pleasantly surprised on the timely responses always.

April and David took on the house at Christmas, refreshed the marketing and got on the phone to their clients. After several showings, they found a buyer. I must say, as a first time buyer, Mr David Ashdown made me feel really comfortable, discussing my current and forthcoming situation with regards to buying on the market, or via the shared ownership prospects. Not only did he listen and was impartial, but he was able to offer the different possible avenues, that would make this feasible, and pass you on to the other experts in their field, to push this forward for me.

I spoke to an incredibly rude member of staff (she stated her name as being April). I spoke to her on 23/01/21 at 09:44. She was very unhelpful when it came to answering any questions I had. Upon looking at photos posted of a property I noticed possible damping and moulding issues and queried it. She was unable to give me an answer. The property hasn’t been surveyed for any kind of structural/corrosion issues and she said “that would cost you extra to have done.” I essentially queried all the flaws I saw in the photographs and she gave me nothing. No response. No answers. Nothing.
Now let me come to my price query. After doing some research the property value should have been around £325-399k (the funny thing is the quick valuation tool they have on their website values the house at £292-356.8k [screenshot of valuation tool attached]). However as this property was set at a whopping £475k (price has since been reduced a little) I asked what they were realistically looking to sell it for. She replied “as much as possible. It depends on you and what you want to do to it.” Upon giving a realistic quote of £350k (because the property is incredible dated and will need a complete makeover) she proceeded to (rudely) say “I’m quite offended by that offer. We have received offers over the £400k mark.” First of all I was offended by her reaction. I queried that I find it hard to believe that people have offered over £400k for a property that has no parking. She stated (or rather should I say lied) “there is parking further down the road.” Having walked past that road on multiple occasions, I can safely say, it is impossible to find any parking anywhere close by. If you have a disabled parking badge you might get lucky and be able to park on a side road (only if you’re lucky). To which she didn’t respond. I asked whether these “people” that offered over £400k had viewed the property and she said yes. I personally find it hard to believe, but that’s what she said. I thanked her (even though she was really rude and unhelpful) and hung up. I called back, remembering that we’re in a pandemic and whether people have actually viewed the property. The same lady answered and stated that gov guidelines allow them to conduct viewings. I thanked her again and she just rudely hung up. No goodbye or any sort of polite or welcoming end comments. Nothing that would encourage me to call back. Especially, if all the staff members are equally disrespectful.
End comments:
- When it comes to selling a property, I would expect all the people involved with selling to have a good knowledge of it.
- I don’t expect them to twist the truth regarding parking.
- I don’t expect them to speak in a rude and callous tone
- I most certainly don’t expect them to hang up the phone before I finish speaking.
- I don’t expect my competitive/realistic quote to be called offensive. Especially if I can see a property will need revamping from top to bottom
- Lastly, if I have fears of damping, moulding and rusting I expect a “I can have a look into that for you.” Instead of a rude and unhelpful “I don’t know”

As a smaller agent you benefit from a more personal service compared to large agents. I always had the same 1 or 2 people to speak with and they were always responsive. They knew my home well, which was helpful for viewings, so that it wasn’t a different person carrying out the viewings every time.
The negatives were:
1. The initial valuation they gave me was over priced and not realistic. This meant it initially went on the market at the wrong price
2. There were a few technical issues when it first went online which meant that photos did not appear along with the advert. Once it finally did go up it included wrong photos from a different property
3. Two of their more senior staff (including the branch manager) left Carsons, which caused a bit of disruption
4. They did not manage to sell my property

I Just wanted to share this moment to everyone about my mortgage , after declined 2 times less than a month time , how's the feeling everyone can imagine . I had a sleepless night for many days , then one of my friend gave me a number of Kuldeel Sondhi and he told me about Countrywide mortgage . I have contacted to Kuldeep and I explain him everything about my previous declined then he started to do my application , he had been gone every side of the case and study very very carefully ,then he have applied for my mortgage . Fantastic service from beginning to end. Having been on the market with 2 other estate agents I went up with Carson and co Maidenhead, who I regretted not going with in the first place but I guess I saved the best until last.
From the moment they came round to visit, to completing on my sale Carson and co maidenhead have been amazing. When they say they are going to do something they do it, they communicated not only with each other but with me through the whole process which sadly the other estate agents did not. Nothing was too much trouble or a stupid question. Even with difficulties that popped up with solicitors/our buyer etc (and there were alot) they went above and beyond to try and help even when it wasn't necessarily their job to do it.
I specifically want to mention Jonathan, Dan and the branch manager Andrew, who without them I genuinely do not think I would be sat in my new house now.
A job well done and deserves to be acknowledged, thank you Carson and co maidenhead.

All the staff involved in the sale were lovely. The request for valuation was prompt and informative (Jonathan), the guys who came to learn the house to help potential buyers (Dan and Simondeep) were really personable and ultra-eager to get things right. The ongoing contractual stuff (Andrew) was relatively painless and we were kept informed and updated at all times. Their connections to get people to see the property were excellent and reflected the groundwork they all did which I imagine was fairly intensive. We were very happy with the overall service and would recommend them.

I would recommend AVOIDING a Carson's property at all costs. Having requested the return of our protected deposit nearly 3 weeks ago (with full agreement from our landlord) we have still not received our money. This is in spite of the legal maximum being 10 days.
It is evident that Carson have very poor procedures as no records we kept nor anything done until I chased them many times by phone and email, leading to further processing delays.
What's worse is that only very rarely does anyone pick up the phone, call me back or update me on anything. I'm not sure they realise there is a legal maximum time limit to return the deposit.
Really, really poor.
