From start to finish it was a pleasure dealing with all of the friendly, professional staff at Scriven & Co. The advice we were given was always sound and considered. We were kept informed regularly during each stage of the process. Selling a house can be very stressful and George and the Team did their utmost to minimise this for us. I wholeheartedly recommend them and would use them again to move.
Leaving area new year so part of primal therapy shout let it all out. Decades dealing with this lot they just look after their customers the property owners. Gas fire not working, leak under kitchen sink and much much more ignored. Be a day late with rent we will charge interest on that. Good riddance you won't be missed by me.

Davidson Estates has been super helpful with problems I've had regarding housing. I would especially like to thank Andrew in Birmingham office, his endless support and help finding solutions to my issue is beyond words appreciated. Would definitely recommend this agency to everyone who wants a bespoke service!
The honest review is that letting and moving house is already stressful and to add to that stress are the letting agents like Davidson willing to go the limits to ripp you off the last penny in your account.
Firstly the application fee is £360 for first application.
For your parter its £180 on top.
Second comes the damage property fee which is £450-800 depending on the property.
Anf then comes the rent assume its 400.
In total a person will end up paying around £1500 for a one bed flat out of which £600 arr unrefundable.
Normally other letting agencies charge a fee of £120+£60 for your partner.
Which makes davidson group 3 times more pricy and to add the customer services including fixing the household issue is similar to other agencies.
Wouldn't recommend this agency to anyone.
Thanks for also responding back to my review.
I have given my opinion regarding your services that are provided and fact is this is a rip off.
Drawing a tenancy agreement which means effectively typing we are letting you the property for x amount of time and this is the person responsible and setting up a direct debit for rent does not take more then 15 mins also included a reference check which is just you dropping an email to the previous landlord and you charge £350 for this 15 minutes work and if there is a couple £500.
If this isn't a rip off idk what a rip off is.
You also charge people leaving for giving reference and if the tenancy agreement needs a change you even charge for that.
In my opinion this is a wolf in a sheep skin.
Ripping us who work 12 hours shift at a low wage.
I think you need to my review from a person renting with a month £1300 salary and then you will be able to relate to the review that the company may need to revisit it fee otherwise risk this kind of reviews which are in no way directed to damage the business but let the people dealing with the company know what they are walking into.
I purchased a house and faced lots of unforeseen issues and hurdles. This purchase could have easily collapsed were it not for Sam at the Bearwood branch who liaised between myself, the vendor and conveyancing to help bridge the gaps and keep the process going to a prolonged but successful completion.
Totally disappointed from the lookalikes service. Well I found some attractive properties for rent in righmove, advertised by Dixons. Than I’ve ring on 1st or 2th of Jan not sure and the answer machine was continuing saying that all agents are busy and someone will answer my call shorty, anyway none did...anyway I realised they are maybe closed and rang them again on th following day, where I found that all this”attractive” properties are not longer available, but still advertise as available!? Simply nobody has been updated the information in last 1,5 months, absolute unprofessional and embarrassing, wasting people’s time.
I have been advised to check directly into their own company website, where I found some other nice properties. On the day after I called again to arrange eventual viewing of these, and again from 4 i’ve Liked only one was available...anyway I did request a viewing for the one still available, but than i’ve been questioned hundreds of questions incl. personal information, where simply for an only a viewing they need to know, just: name, contacting number, employment status and are you renting at the moments, that’s it nothing else! Anyway due to my self employment status, the staff member on the phone promised me that will talk to his Manager/on a meeting by the time/ and will contacting me back before lunch time....So “Voice in a Desert”, nobody follow up as it’s should.
So thank you guys, keep going in this way wasting people time, and loosing potential customers! Personal advice: “Treat everyone as unique individual, with respect and extra care and provide professional service, if you are planing to stay at the estate agents field !”
Happily i found a great property through somewhere else and paid the money that you missed.
Don't understand why so many negative reviews. Yasser found a buyer for my house before the particulars had even gone on their website, so from the time I contacted them to completing the sale was less than 3 months. I was impressed at the quality of photos and the sales particulars they produced. Yasser and the team gave the impression of proactively looking for buyers rather than just sticking the particulars on the web and waiting for business. If I have one criticism the communication within their team as well as to customers might be improved. Sending an e mail to one member of the team who hasn't shared it because they're asking for it again. It was also irritating having to send documents 3 times...my passport photo wasn't acceptable. Tell me exactly what you need the first time please. I only went with Connells because their nearest competitor didn't respond to any of my 3 phone calls. Would I use this firm again? Yes. Would I recommend? Highly, yes.
Avoid. Can't spell your name, lost pictures of the property for marketing, can't do basic word processing and alignment of property particulars, don't know that it's 2016 not 2015.... The list is endless. Totally unprofessional and unacceptable in this day and age. Problems with specific staff seem to result in that person not working there any longer so nothing can be done. Don't waste your time and save your blood pressure. Go elsewhere for sales and lettings.
I have had the pleasure of now of contacting Royal estates multipul times for well over a year now, they have always been fantastic, Laura has been my main point of contact and nothing is to much trouble. The team are always polite and friendly and go out of there way to ensure any of my questions or requests are always 100% covered.
Appalling service. Rented from royals for 3 years and getting them to carry out repairs is impossible. All they advise is a contractor has been appointed to cover their backs. Some issues I have waited over 2 years to be resolved. Waiting on boiler to be fixed, which they have been aware of for over a year. Was advised by engineer heat exchanger is broken, so currently having to boil pans to bath my child. Was told by royals 3 weeks ago that enoginner was away and when he returned he would fix. Spoke to engineer back on 27th April he had not been authorised to do anything.
Communal front door was broken which they failed to fix until I had rent tribunal out. But they didn't notify me as a result returned to property to find could not get in as my neighbour who we share the door with was out and office closed.
Asked who they were regulated by as unhappy that they would not refund cost of lock smith, but request ignored and was told to move out if unhappy.
Now been given section 21, because apparently they are selling flat along with others in the building, but none of my neighbours have been given one.
Would not recommend renting from them.
Greystone Lettings are absolutely fantastic. We rented an apartment for almost 2 years and never had any problems. Sukhdev is a really nice guy - he gave us lots of help, support and advice when we were looking for an apartment and was always available thereafter. We received our full deposit back at the end of the tenancy without any hassle. If you are looking for an apartment in the Jewellery Quarter, or Birmingham city more broadly, you should contact him. We couldn't have asked for a nicer letting agent.
I am a tenant at one of the properties they manage. At first all was fine - I received replies to my emails and got the answers to all my questions on time.
After we signed the contract all went down. I have been trying to contact the agency for 3 months via email and I still do not have a reply! Tried their landline but I get through to lowsy receptionists who cannot pass on messages!
I am fed up with this! I do NOT recommend this agency!
