29th Oct 2025 (7 mo. ago)From the valuation right up until being SSTC (which we are at present so cannot comment any further as I don’t have a crystal ball!) Sam has been absolutely fantastic. He was very honest during the valuation, did not try to pressure sell us, and allowed us to come back to him in our own time after obtaining other valuations. We felt it was an honest and fair valuation that had market evidence to back it up. Sam set up a WhatsApp group which was so helpful for quick communication, and we managed to sell our house in 2 weeks. He also helped us with knowing what and how to offer on our next property, which we have now secured. Even still through the sale process Sam and the team are always on hand if our buyers have any questions for us, or we have any questions in general. He was also a great help in helping us find decent local solicitors. Very smooth process so far - far above expectations.

In our opinion Geordie went over and above with his constant communication with all parties in the chain, which assisted us during exchange and completion. Geordie was proactive during the whole process and we would definitely recommend him as an excellent estate agent.

25th Feb 2025 (1 year ago)Confident but not arrogant agent. Good knowledge of the area and was able to until confidence in me that she will do all she can to sell the property. Once on the market she arranged viewings very quickly, making me feel confident she is pushing my house to buyers and making it noticed. She provided good advice and guidance about offers leading to an asking price within and a bit above my expectations. She is proactive in the process of the sale now and I feel confident in her driving the sale to completion. Only draw back is the fee which is higher than all other agencies.

Wainwrights were great and when we found our perfect property they helped everything run so smoothly. A big thank you for all their advice and assistance. Lovely people.
19th Nov 2025 (6 mo. ago)We just recently moved from Bristol to Cheddar. Laurel & Wylde weren't our estate agents but they were for our purchase. Jane May was excellent from start to finish she kept us updated (not only us the whole chain). I do believe if it wasn't for Jayne the move might not of happened. A massive thank you Jayne. If anyone is looking for help in selling & moving Laurel & Wylde are an absolute must 10 out of 10.

13th May 2022 (4 years ago)I first met Brett a couple of years ago when looking into the student market. I didn't do anything at that time. It was a pleasure to meet Brett again in July 2021 when viewing another property, and subsequently other properties. Brett is generous with his time, doesn't rush you, and tells you the facts as he sees them. I feel he gives his views and advice in a very straightforward manner which is what you want as a buyer or a seller. I would have no hesitation in recommending Brett for his professionalism, friendliness and someone to go to for advice. I have now met the Lettings side of Star and found them extremely helpful as well.
22nd Mar 2023 (3 years ago)I had a very, very disappointing experience with Star Lettings back in the summer of 2021 – I'd been served with a section 21”no fault eviction” due to an issue with mold in the bathroom floor (which it transpired was caused by a “long term leak under the bath”) I still owe money to southwest water because of this. I'd reported the issue with the moldy bathroom floor to Star Lettings some two years previously. This notice to vacate was on hold throughout lock down due to Government legislation but didn't do much for my peace of mind. In my experience it seemed that the landlord always came first and I lost half my deposit even when I'd cleaned the house as requested though it was difficult given the underlying mold issue that should have been addressed when I raised two years previously. I was also told that the flat would be completely renovated as the landlord planned to turn the place into an AirB&B (which I believe has happened) so I left the place completely empty with a clean up as best as I could (thinking I wouldn't overly invest too much time in it, given the renovation would be going ahead anyway) After moving I contacted Star Lettings about my deposit but Star Lettings tried to withhold my entire deposit, in the end I managed to get back half of this, but not without a struggle. I needed the money as it certainly wasn't easy finding a new flat immediately post lock down

23rd Jan 2022 (4 years ago)Angela was very relaxed through the entire letting process in a refreshing down to earth manner on a unit I rented. Deposit returned in full and on time with no drama. If all agents were like her it would make life much less stressful. 100% recommended.

8th May 2026 (6 weeks ago)Paul was great with my sale, it was an especially challenging sale that took over 7 months to complete. All of the issues were nothing to do with Paul He was always super friendly and supportive In fact, he's the only estate agent in Bournemouth that I would recommend

From the initial advice about preparing the property for marketing, through the numerous accompanied viewings they arranged, to securing a satisfactory offer and ultimately a sale they kept us informed throughout. Its a conscientious ‘go the extra mile’ service you get from what is a family run business. They are approachable, always return calls, and importantly their commission is very competative. I have no hesitation in recommmending CJ Hole, Hucclecote.

I feel they dedicated a very generous amount of time to getting my flat sold and they left no stone unturned in the process. I strongly recommend them.
