24th Sep 2025 (8 weeks ago)During a rather frustrating time with my first buyers, knight Frank were very good and indeed found second lot of buyers in the wings when the first people pulled out.They were amazing at keeping me calm ,not an easy task????.I have used them to buy my house as well so did a smooth double deal.This is the third time I have used them.Tishy.

Updating us on every small part of the way, it was an exciting experience as opposed to stressful thanks to the thoughtful and professional nature of how Stags deal with their clients. 5 star service.

24th Sep 2025 (8 weeks ago)Really, really recommend this bunch of ladies and all they have done for us, they have had our property in their capable hands for 3 years, first of all letting the property, 10 out of 10 and more, no problems, then they sold our property within 2 weeks, wowwww, so happy, easy to phone up and speak with and really on the ball, thankyou everyone, would put all your names on here but one and all fantastic. Reece Tyack and his team were always available, attentive and proactive in addressing the numerous challenges that arose. The sale has finally been concluded, and I'm delighted to give Reece and his team the credit they deserve in this review. Rory and Priscilla didn’t just show us properties — they listened, to understand what we truly wanted. Every visit was perfectly organized, every question answered with patience and genuine care. When we finally found “the one,” they guided us through every step with such encouragement and efficiency that the whole process felt effortless. What we appreciated most was their human touch — that rare combination of expertise and heart. It’s not just about selling houses for them; it’s about helping people find a place to call home. Professional and patient they helped smooth the whole process including communications between sellers' and buyers' legal teams. Great service from our perspective.
5th Aug 2025 (15 weeks ago)I wouldn’t even give this agency one star, as they seem to think students are easy targets to scam. My daughter and two of her friends rented a place from them last year, and it was in an awful condition. When we received the keys, the house was dirty from top to bottom — the toilet even had human waste in it. The bathroom was mouldy, and the kitchen counter, cooker, and extractor fan were greasy. There were also significant damp issues in the living room. We took photos and contacted Townsend before the girls actually moved in. In response, Townsend told my daughter and her friends that the house had been professionally cleaned, but when we came back, we saw that very little had changed. My daughter and her friends ended up cleaning the property themselves just to make it liveable. We even had to purchase a new lampshade for my daughter’s room because the old one was covered in dust, and she suffers from allergies.The damp issue in the living room was never resolved, but the girls made the house more livable and turned it into a home. We noticed that whenever a problem with the property arose, despite many email conversations, Townsend were very reluctant to act and their responses were extremely slow. For example, the garden fence fell down in November 2024, and the next-door neighbour was very aggressive about it. Yet, Townsend couldn’t get anyone to fix it before January 2025. When the girls decided to move into different accommodation, they left the property much cleaner than it had been when they received it. They expected to receive the deposit within 8 days of returning the keys to Townsend. However, Townsend came up with an excuse, claiming to have found crumbs on the kitchen counter and a single strand of hair, and told the girls they would each be charged £90 for professional cleaning. When we shared the before-and-after photos, Townsend still insisted on charging the amount and is continuing to withhold the deposit to this day. After reading some of the other reviews here, it’s clear that they particularly target students and impose extortionate cleaning charges with no evidence to justify them. Furthermore, the check-in and check-out reports of the property are not comparable, as the former report is very general whilst the latter was very specific. For Townsend to use photos of dirty areas at check out as proof that the property had been left in a worse condition to when the tenants moved in, they would need to show the same area spotless, at check in - no such photos exist. The unclean areas indicated at check out will have been in this state since before the tenancy started. Further to Townsend's rebuttal, I have included some of the original photos taken immediately after the "professional" cleaning.

The team (not going to name anyone in case I forget to mention one of them) they are all professional, well connected, they know everyone and that helps navigate buying or selling complexities. Was grateful for their down to earth, supportive manner and during the stresses of buying and selling they get the job done. Top team 5 stars
12th Nov 2025 (4 days ago)Sharon was very thorough and worked very hard. We were kept informed of progress regularly. She has a lovely personality and it is a delight having her alongside us through the sale. All being well, the sale will complete at the end of January / early Feb.
13th Oct 2025 (5 weeks ago)Superb, every member of the team from the owner down had a real ‘can-do’ attitude. They arranged a professional photographer to visit within 24 hours and the marketing was really polished. No sale no fee, and they also worked out the cheapest locally! Thoroughly recommended.

26th Sep 2025 (7 weeks ago)Very unprofessional letting agency. Over our 1 year tenancy members of staff, particularly Sharon Walker, were persistently rude to tenants via email over issues raised. We were charged a very large amount in deposit deductions which, due to the company’s refusal to engage in any form of discussion around these issues, we felt obliged to escalate to the Deposit Protection Service. An independent adjudicator identified that Martin and Co had greatly overcharged us for deductions, and as such we were only deducted a fraction of what had been initially requested. This company has acted in an unprofessional manner throughout our entire tenancy period and we feel that we were taken advantage of. I will never rent from this company again, and I wish I had acted with much greater caution when initially selecting them as our letting agency.
