Not a good experience liaising with the lettings dept.Rental clients always seem to be made to feel of little value and like cattle fodder despite some of our professions and social standing being way higher than the individuals we have to deal with to look for a home.

Absolute con merchants. Jo Payne is a waste of space. This letting company are inhuman monsters who will mismanage your property to the point you have to return from abroad qnd sell your house. Will use dodgy workman who tile one wet plasterboard, reuse all old tiles and charge you for a weeks work when in actual fact spent 2 hours in three months at the property. Use at your own peril. They disgust me!

They managed the whole chain and despite some unavoidable delays due to coronavirus, they chased and liaised with all parties to completion. Having dealt with many estate agencies I have always been treated ..and treated outhers with the greatest respect! it doesn't surprise me that this shop is due for closure.

A little belated but nonetheless a worthy review.
Having bought with Stags I find them to be highly professional throughout the process. During my searches they were very patient as I had very specific requirements and they went far beyond the call of duty to find me my beautiful home. They understood completely what I was looking for and where to suit my needs for schools etc. Then without prompting they proactively called me when they had a new property to launch which frankly I would have missed during my busy schedule at the time and I am so glad they did.
They made negotiation simple and I understood the sellers position and stance and they helped me via their honest and transparent approach to sales.
Once my offer was accepted they kept me informed all of the way through the process and ensured a timely and smooth purchase.
I can not thank the team at Stags enough for their help, guidance and support. Should I ever have to sell my wonderful home I would have no hesitation in using Stags.

This agency has been appalling in almost every respect to deal with. The first offer I made on a property took over a week and a rude email from the valuer afterwards to be rejected as she seemed to be personally affronted that my offer was below asking price. I pulled out as I then felt it was too high. The same day, the property price was dropped to my original offer price. I then resubmitted the offer months later after a conversation with one of the staff who said that the valuer was scheduled to talk with the vendors as the high price had strangled any interest as none of the properties marketed dual agency had sold. I then found myself chasing 8 days later to encounter the rude valuer again and be told they knew 4 days ago that it was rejected but I wasn't told. There is no attempt to keep conversations going and in fact when I spoke with rude valuer she told me my latest offer was not a formal offer so it wasn't resubmitted before her colleague informed me of the outcome. I'm amazed she knew this as I deliberately gave her a wide berth. In fact she didn't know. As a purchaser, I would never buy a property through them. As a vendor, be aware that their crippling negotiation skills are appalling, some of the staff let their own inflated opinions of themselves scupper deals and this might explain why their properties hang around so long on the market. The worst agent I have dealt with in Truro.

If I could award no stars I would. I sent six emails to a named member of this firm, asking for some information about a property that I was interested in. NO RESPONSE.
I then tried the general email address and received a partial response, from another staff member, but not to my original questions. I was also 'promised' a reply from the original addressee. None ever was received.
A week before the date of an auction I had to email the firm to request details of the venue. Two reminders later and I received a perfunctory reply, one working day before the auction.
They never answered the questions about claims in their brochure. When cross-checked from a reliable source, these claims were, to be candid, just optimistic puffs.
Very disappointed with the lack of simple courtesy and professionalism shown by this firm.

It’s many years since I’ve had the need to deal with letting agents, and dealt with a few in the Truro area most of whom did little to impress me. Stags however were in a different league. They found me a super property and made my move to Cornwall easy.

After an unhappy experience with Purple Bricks we switched to Stags in Truro. We were not disappointed and received great service from Georgia, Ian and the team. Where Purple Bricks had merely advertised our property (with little or no follow up with prospective buyers), Stags pro-actively marketed the house. Perhaps the most telling difference between Stags and an on line agent was the fact that, when our buyers first contacted Stags to view another property, Georgia pointed them in our direction. Within two weeks, we had an offer very close to our asking price and Georgia then actively managed the whole process through to "exchange" and beyond. Stags service was exceptional, they came to take particulars of the property very quickly and although the old house had seen better days made a great effort to make it look respectable in the many photos used in the sale brochure. It obviously worked very well as it attracted a great deal of attention and we received many emails advising us of new viewings all of which were conducted by members of Stags staff. When they had had a few offers they asked the bidders to make a final offer and we were delighted with the sale price they managed to get. We have just sold our house in Cornwall through Stags and are very happy with the service we received. They have good service and an excellent presence in the mid- to high price bracket in the South-West. We had made the mistake of thinking that old-fashioned estate agents' branding and hand-holding had become outdated and it didn't matter which agent you used as long as they were on one of the major Web property portals. Wrong. Buyer still gravitate towards agents with a good portfolio of properties in the areas they want, the price bracket they want and the kind of home they want. And good service matters, too. We were selling at a time when few people were making major financial decisions amid Brexit uncertainty. Our purchasers had a real struggle obtaining a mortgage because banks are still so risk-averse, a decade after the subprime crisis struck. But Stags did a good job of keeping all sides informed and making sure the deal didn't founder on the reefs of misunderstanding and mistrust. Full marks to Ben and Liz.

But struggled getting Georgia to return calls seemed like she kept putting off things, we gave proof of funds our estate agents also assured her our sale was strong, not good enough for Georgia she want information that went against data protection from the third party!
in the mean time stags showed people round and sold it to someone else a week later
We received an email saying sorry your offer as been declined
To be clear the vender asked us to pay that amount and we agreed to it so effectively we excepted his offer and he agreed to it
Georgia is untrustworthy and would not recommend stags as an estate agents due to her
Also Emma at our estate agents who is so kind spoke to me today she was concerned with stags dealing and phone georgia up and asked how it went with our property and Georgia said we had pulled out

Sadly this branch has a very rude, arrogant member of staff. She NEVER returns phone calls. I have wasted several weeks trying to purchase a property with a building plot. Today I have had the phone slammed down on me having been accused of shouting at her! I was calm and collected on the phone, even though she had just spat out that SHE didn’t think I was suitable to buy the property! All we wanted was something in writing from the planning office to confirm the planning was still valid! I feel sorry for the vendor, Georgia Prowse, negotiator, has cost you the sale of your property.
Three phones calls on Thursday...nobody returned my calls. Eventually Ian dealt with me, very apologetic, due to being on leave this week back to Georgia Prowse. Left a message yesterday, rang them again the today, only to be spoken to like a piece of dirt. What a vile woman. This is clearly NOT the job for you Georgia Prowse.
