Difficult market and everyone sitting tight and so the effort from Victoria and her team to sell our house was even more appreciated. From the first meeting with Victoria to the day we handed the keys over we couldn’t have asked for more.<br>Super professional and kept us informed with every step of the way.<br>Wouldn’t hesitate to use their services again and throughly recommend the team to anyone wishing to sell their property in Newbury and the surrounding area. Thank you Savills in Newbury!

13th Aug 2026 (5 weeks ago)We had a fantastic experience selling our home with the team.<br><br>Tony was brilliant from the start — he valued our home perfectly and did a fantastic job of getting it sold. Lorraine was amazing throughout the process, always following up and helping us get everything completed smoothly.<br><br>And a special mention to Carol, who was absolutely excellent at chasing all the solicitors and keeping everything moving when things could have easily stalled!<br><br>A genuinely great team who worked hard for us from start to finish. We’re so grateful for all their help and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to sell their home. ??????????
24th Jul 2026 (8 weeks ago)I arranged a valuation to be done and two agents came out, one seemed very pleasant and nice however the other who wasn’t planned to do the viewing was rude obnoxious and showed very little interest in the property and made me feel as if I had wasted their time. This was a shame as the original estate agent had seemed genuinely nice and professional however did very little talking and was overpowered by the other estate agent. Overall compared to the experience from other estate agents on the same level I was extremely disappointed and upset by the whole experience.

5th Sep 2026 (14 days ago)Unfortunately I had a terrible experience with Downer & Co. Having invited them and others to value my property I decided to go with them as my partner thought they were the most 'salesy' so would do a good job. It was definitely all talk as became apparent very quickly.<br><br>I was upfront to them that, having a newborn, I would prefer to have viewings on the same day/one after another and yet I was constantly only given ad-hoc timeslots on random days due to their lack of availability of staff. It was an upheaval to accommodate. The few people that did view clearly weren't looking for the things my property offered so I don't even think they were properly informed or questioned prior to booking. A huge waste of all our time.<br><br>Communication after signing their terms was poor and at one point it had gone 3 weeks without hearing a thing. When I called to chase and ask for advice on how to proceed, Stuart joked that I could 'drop the price by £50k and it would sell' - I should add, it was listed for the amount he valued it at.<br><br>The person conducting the viewings knew nothing about the property, I saw him on the ring doorbell at one viewing unable to find the keys and telling the viewers he didn't have them (they were in a key safe and given the code AND he had conducted a previous viewing!) in another, he was being asked questions about the property and was unable to answer any of them - all information had been provided when I registered so he hadn't bothered to look.<br><br>All in all just incredibly unprofessional. When I found a property I wanted to buy I gave notice, changed agents and the property sold in 8 days after just one morning of viewings back to back. It was like night and day. Thank god for the local Newbury agent in yellow and red!

From the moment we met her, she was incredibly friendly, approachable and engaging, and made the whole experience feel really relaxed.<br><br>What stood out most was how down-to-earth and personable she was. She was professional without being overly formal or uptight, and it felt like we were speaking to a normal, genuine person rather than just being given the usual estate agent sales pitch.<br><br>She was also absolutely brilliant with my three-year-old daughter, taking the time to chat and engage with her, which I really appreciated.<br><br>Overall, Vassna made a really positive impression on us and was an absolute pleasure to deal with. A real credit to the company and someone I’d happily recommend to anyone. Thank you, Vassna!

Their local knowledge is second to none and they always give a speedy response to enquiries. I like that they are an established family business who are friendly and professional at all times. They take the rough with the smooth, always trying to bring a positive outcome to any problem. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them.

Always dealt with any issues straight away. Being a tenant with Henwick was easier than being a homeowner because I never had to worry about anything. They just sorted everything out for me. Thank you guys!
