His local knowledge and rapport with potential buyers had a positive impact on finding a serious buyer and the whole team have been most helpful chasing and updating me on the progress of the transaction.
14th Jul 2026 (16 weeks ago)If I could give zero stars, I would. This has been an absolutely awful experience from start to finish. We felt constantly pressured and pushed into decisions that suited the buyers, not us. It seemed like all they cared about was what the buyers wanted, while our concerns were repeatedly ignored, even though we were paying substantial fees. At no point did we feel our side was truly heard or represented. I would never use this agency again, and I'd strongly advise others to avoid them too.

I have continued the association with trust and confidence and they have been very suppportive at a difficult time for me. I am also selling a property with the Estate Agency dept. Again, I have found them extremely capable, efficient and have been able to have good communication and support.

Everyone I dealt with in the office was fantastic - efficient, professional, helpful - but Geoff in particular was an absolute star. Usually my experiences with estate agents are tolerable at best, but D. R. Kivell was a pleasure to work with, even when it got a bit rough at the end. I can't speak for the seller they represented, but certainly when dealing with us as buyers it was clear that they were looking out for her interests too, and they were extremely fair and up front throughout the process. If I ever sell the beautiful house they sold to me, they would be my first choice of agent. I can't recommend them highly enough.

7th Oct 2026 (30 days ago)We viewed 16 Mowhay Gardens at Hatherleigh. Jessica Berry conducted the viewing. Jessica was well presented, confident and prepared for the viewing. Jessica offered all of the information we needed and we didn't even need to ask. As a sales person myself for over 30 years, I was very impressed with Jessica's natural ability to conduct such a positive viewing, provide information with being friendly and welcoming, considering she is new to the business.

They will badger you to use the in house solicitors Do not use the in house solicitors you will still be charged if the sale doesn't go though.

9th Oct 2026 (28 days ago)Tried to purchase a park home through this agent..absolutely shocking attitude to detail meant travelling to visit a property in Devon from Kent was an utter waste of time...twice!!. They have since added a comment on the on line details advising people of the fact that there are park rules and other things to bear in mind - all the things we found out about by accident

They have a lovely bright office on the hugh street too with friendly staff always there to help. Open all day Saturday too which helps when you work full time! Highly recommended.

Professional, and friendly, approachable, spot on with everything from start to finish. When you phone them, they answer or get back to you, and they are on the ball with your transaction, it feels like you are their only one! They never need to be told anything twice, and have all the latest info and updates on your transaction, from listing to sales progression.
Highly recommend them, seriously give them a try !
