2nd Mar 2019 (7 years ago)We are student at Durham University and we decided to rent a house. I called the estate agent and they agreed to send us the agreement and everything to rent this one house that we really liked. We were supposed to arrive a week later to submit the forms and pay deposit. When I got the papers, they confirmed with us that the house would be definitely be reserved for us. However, the morning we were supposed to hand in the papers, I got a short, badly articulated email saying that the property was no longer available and that we should look somewhere else. No explanation, nothing. We were angry because student accommodation is competitive and we lost so much time waiting for this house. Upon emailing them multiple times, they finally said that the previous tenants decided to stay for another year. Didn’t they confirm with the current tenants that they would be moving out? Why would they even list the house if that was an option? .Why send us the agreements and everything? They didn’t even bother trying to find us other options that we could stay at instead. All and all, I would never use this agent again because their service is absolutely terrible

Did not listen to us about sale price, sent people who couldn’t afford the mortgage, poor quality feedback, not making appointments at requested times, even phoned 2 days after we had moved to see if we had exchanged!DO NOT USE THEIR AUCTION SERVICE!were on the verge of changing agents when we struck lucky thanks to Covid!

As a first-time buyer, I was initially anxious about the process, but my first phone call with Sophie immediately put me at ease with her welcoming and professional approach. Additionally, their financial advisor, Phil, is exceptionally knowledgeable and provides the guidance I need to feel completely confident in my purchase. The team consistently goes above and beyond for their customers, maintaining excellent communication and keeping me informed at every stage. They demonstrate a genuine care for their clients, and their outstanding service has made this a seamless experience so far.
2nd Sep 2023 (2 years ago)Very impressed with time keeping and overall process. The only small issue was that I asked for no FOR SALE board on the property. One appeared. I asked for it to be removed. After a few days it was taken away, but leaving rawl plugs in the stone wall near the front door.

He was incredibly professional and thorough, taking the time to review everything carefully and making sure that nothing was overlooked. At the same time, he was warm, friendly and genuinely kind, which made the whole experience feel very personal and reassuring.<br><br>The customer service from both Tony and the office team was exceptional. Tony was incredibly dedicated and responsive, and even went out of his way to follow up our requests in his own time. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble.<br><br>It is rare these days to come across such a combination of professionalism, warmth, kindness and a genuine willingness to go above and beyond. We are extremely grateful to Tony and the whole team and honestly feel indebted to them for everything they did.<br><br>A truly excellent experience. 3rd Oct 2024 (1 year ago)We knew we were selling at a lower price but they found a buyer quickly and knowing there were no estate agency fees or solicitors fees brought the price closer to what we had hoped for.
