As a tenant I had very bad experience with Abbotts countrywide. Until we placed the money they were interested about everything especially to pay fees for every single step.After few months we had a problem with the washing machine. We made 10-15 emails and few calls and a month waiting, then we decided to get our Landlord number. Two days after the Landlord showed up with a new washing machine and he said that nobody informed him from Abbotts. But that is just a small problem. When our contract finished and wanted to renew they asked us to pay again for reference checking . We had not really known the law so we paid it again and for contract too. Then just came up the next year and the agent started to lying that the landlord wants to make a reference again or we can pay 6 month upfront without reference checking, but to our landlord they said that we want to pay 6 month upfront. (They didn't know that we are in contact with the landlord) ???? Then when we told to them that is the third time we pay for reference, then agent said that the reference check had never done it. ???? Ok mate if never done it, then how had you rented out for us? Other thing that they never showed up for checking. So for Landlords is also the worst choice to use them. After few argument the landlord just kicked them out finally, but they had charged us again for renew the not exist contract. This agency is a real money scammer and doing nothing to help tenants or landlords. We wanted to bring the case to court but then decided to leave it and not waste our time for this
cowboy branch. We were very happy to leave them and never ever use again. Abbotts! please don't send me an automatic answer for this review because is not for you, but to inform people to avoid you. ??????

Abbots itself is ok and Alex was super proactive and nice when handling our end of tenancy. However, Countrywide is disappointing as we’re having a very hard time trying to get our deposit back. So I would avoid Countrywide and all its agencies as a whole.

Recently sold our house with Abbotts and would definitely recommend. Our sales negotiator, Anthony Reeve, made the whole experience much easier and took on the stress for us. He went out of his way to accommodate awkward viewing times and offered a first class service.

We met Sam from Abbotts to view a property we were interested in. We have met lots of agents but Sam was absolutely the best agent we met so far! He had all the information we needed , very professional and helpful. He took time to explain shared ownership scheme answered all the questions we had. Can't recommend enough

I bought a park home after just two viewings from Abbott’s. Although I didn’t buy the first one which I planned on buying, it was nothing to do with Abbott’s. They made me aware of the second one and took me to see it immediately. I fell instantly in love with it, made an offer and close on Friday! It was such an easy and smooth purchase. Lee and Sam were both amazing, professional and accommodating! You can’t ask for better service than with them! This has all been accomplished in less than three weeks! Thanks for everything both of you, you’ve made me very very happy.

Jason and the team at Abbots, Rayleigh are friendly and professional and their prices are extremely competitive. We have rented out a property (as Landlords) twice with them now. The last being as lockdown was easing. They worked meticulously and fast to ensure our new tenants could move in ASAP. At such a difficult time, we really appreciated the effort and hard work that was put in they had limited resources at the time. I would recommend Abbots, Rayleigh without hesitation and we will definitely be using them again.

My partner and I were lucky that the home we were interested in was looked after by Abbotts. We were treated like valued customers from the very first enquiry to the day we received our keys. The team (particularly David Monk) went over and above to assist us through the process. David has been very patient with us, always answered our many queries as we navigated the process of buying our very first home. I have been dealing with the Abbotts Ipswich Rental Team for the past 4 years, excellent service provided by Damian and Jess taking away any problems with their full management package.
