Huge thank you to both Peter and Samantha for being absolute angels during the most stressful move ever!
They were beyond understanding and accommodating when things went wrong multiple times and didn't end up getting to view the place before moving in, but I really felt like their work ensured that I wasn't getting any less in terms of service.
Thank you especially to Samantha who was so kind and waited for me to get my cat up to Colchester by train after my movers let me down twice. She is such a kind, lovely person to have been in contact with for this, and I wish her all the best!

After letting our property with Abbotts for many years and received excellent service and support from Sheridan, we decided to sell our property through Abbotts in Colchester. This was a big mistake. The Sales team were poor in every way. The first advert on Rightmove was put out in a rush, and the photographs were awful and there weren't any room measurements. It took weeks to improve the photographs and include the correct measurements.
We had to show clients and Surveyors around the property because the Sales team would not attend. Phone calls were not answered either.
When the Sale fell through, the Vendor called us,butno-one from the Sales Team contacted us .
Our emails and phone calls went unanswered. So, after a very frustrating time with Abbotts in Colchester, we are marketing our Property elsewhere.

After having a previous bad experience with an agency the idea of moving was stressful. However, Sheridan at Abbott’s, from the first phone call was reassuring, helpful and professional and made our move a lot more relaxing.

My overall experience with Abbotts in Colchester has been very good. Their services are professional, very efficient and generally great when it comes to customer care. I dealt mainly with the letting negotiator Sheridan whilst trying to organise renting a property and she was great. Very informative and her communication with me regarding the whole process has been brilliant. I don't really have a bad word to say about my experience with the company, overall I'm really satisfied with the service I received.

Having used other letting agents in the past and being left disappointed, I used Google reviews this time and decided to try Abbotts Colchester.
Not only were they more reasonably priced than other agents, but their service was exceptional. Every part of the experience was so well handled right up to the point of the new tenant moving into my property. There were regular updates, help with issues I had relating to my exiting tenant and I really felt they wanted to find the best tenant for me - which they did! I have already recommended them to friends with rental properties and I will certainly be using them next time I need to re-let.

Really quite disappointing with the service I received. I was going for the new PF development and was told that there were plots available and i had to be quick if i wanted them. I complied and got my paperwork back almost instantly. Only to then be ignored when chased up on the plots as i was ready to reserve in that moment. I chased over 4 times and sent emails and didn't get a reply yet waited 3 weeks to get nothing. The only person heading up the development seemed to not know what was going on with the plots and believed they were available yet everyone else in the office had told me they were gone. Transparency is key when dealing with customers, if the plots were gone or still going through applications thats fine. But to be told they were available and then to be ignored for weeks on end and not followed up with isn't acceptable.

Have spent the last 8 days trying to reserve a new build plot that is being advertised with Abbotts. Everything we were asked to do was done either the same day or within 12 hours of being requested. We were financially qualified within 24 hours and ready to reserve. We chased and chased and chased to no avail. We didn't anticipate having to chase Abbotts for a week to reserve the requested plot only to then throw in the towel because a complete lack of faith in the new home site they are representing. We were continuously told the new home site hadn't got back to them, fair enough.... however the nail in the coffin was on the 08th day from initial enquiry when I had a call to say "Are you still interested because if not we have someone else who wants to reserve it"..... Hang on, haven't I been the one chasing you for reservation for over a week!? Then because I've been sent an email and not responded within 4 hours I'm being told to hurry up!
All I will say is if they do have someone wanting the plot they are more than welcome to it and wish them all the very best in reserving it, perhaps this time it will go through quicker than a week!! Reserved a plot today with another developer whereby the property was viewed and reserved within 4 hours as we expected it would have been with Abbotts.
I won't leave an unfair review and have therefore left 3 stars as Spencer was a nice chap, gave time to explain things when asked and seemed professional. Have knocked 2 stars off for the complete run around over the last week, lack of organisation including being sent a reservation form with one price only to then have to sign the same form with a higher price, and also the final phone call received advising someone else wanted the plot when we had been chasing a week to reserve and still were at the time of the call! Makes me wonder if they had a preferred application, perhaps from someone without a chain and wanted to push on with them instead, who knows!?

Well what can I say about these guys, only one thing, they are amazing!! I had my house up for sale with various other estate agents for six months prior to using Abbott’s with no luck whatsoever. Max used to call me very few weeks to try and get me to use them and stupidly I never switched. Until one day I decided to give them a try. Max and Derrick sold my house within one week, ONE WEEK! I only wish I had used them from the start. Don’t bother with any of the other estate agents, just go straight to the best! Thanks guys.

very professional and excellent costumer services. the person i was dealing with was a very professional and friendly, always reply to my emails within minutes. they made our move hassle free. i would like to thank Tara Gennings in person and all the team . highly recommended agency.
The first few lines was the original feedback that I wrote few months ago. That was the situation at the start before they get the money. At the end of lease things changed completely. The same person started to ignore our emails and not calling us back when we leave her message. We struggled even to know where to leave the keys. Getting our deposit back was a big trouble and we had to raise it to the court. They claimed Tara is not working for them anymore but after few days she emailed me regarding the keys which was strange if she left work!.. It was one of our worst experiences and here is my advice, they might seem helpful at the start but when they get your money their customer services are the worst amongst all the agencies I'd dealt with. If I am looking for a house to rent or buy they won't be a choice for me.

I would advise never to use this effort of a company. They failed to protect me from bad tenents and costing me over £2000 in lost rent inspection of property not regular failing to add requested protections one star is an exaggeration. Should be - 5 stars

After renting for a year with Abbots, we are signing on for another 2 years. I feel this says a lot in its self. They have made everything very easy, from viewing the property and moving in, to sorting out any issues that might arise in the property (I must say we have had no major problems with the property, just general problems that needed minor fixes). Dealing with Brady we have had an experience where we were treated as individual customers and didn't feel like another one on the conveyor belt. Another plus point is that every time we have been in the office Brady has know us by name, and been fully aware of what property we are letting and any different communication we have had. All a very positive experience letting with Brady, through Abbotts lettings

Fantastic, I rent properties for a living and I have yet to meet a more friendly professional team than Abbots Colchester, the last property they rented for me went up for rent on a Wednesday and was rented the same day, my new tenants were also singing there praises and remarked on how easy the whole process was and how reasonable there prices were compared to other local agents, "I tip my hat to you all" thank you.
