I have recently bought and sold properties with the chislehurst branch of Alan de maid and I have been so impressed. I have bought and sold a few houses over the years, using various estate agents, but Peter, Maria and the rest of the team were exceptional. They were amazingly helpful throughout the process and extremely professional. The sale and purchase of the properties were very challenging due to the nature of the circumstances, but I was reassured and updated regularly by the team and this made the situation so much less stressful. Maria and Peter.

My mother died in 2018, she was 103, and lived in a small detached house in Chislehurst that would need extensive remodeling. Due to the wonderfully bucolic garden, and the amazing commuter location, the house was a valuable piece of real estate.

I live in the USA, I only had mother’s executor in the UK to rely on the make sure that this family asset would realize its potential.

We hired Alan de Maid and met Maria. Peter joined to support Maria. They were a brilliant team.

The house went on the market in August of 2018. The house sold in October 2019. The selling price was realistic, and we were pleased. We never felt that Maria was trying to sell it quickly in order to end the time invested.

I briefly explored the possibility of an investor, and when this did not work out, Maria was most gracious when we desired to return.

Maria was very clever at negotiating and very firm in resolving difficult or intimidating situations. A very “seasoned” professional.

The house was viewed 67 times, and 8 offers were made.

It was a hard road for Maria, but she believed in the property and never gave up! We were updated when appropriate and given the very best advice and encouragement at all times.

We will always remember this “happy” experience and I will be eternally grateful.

Peter and his team were organised, friendly & professional throughout the sale process of my Chislehurst property. What really stood out though was the level of communication that kept all parties of the chain in the loop after offers had been accepted. Due to this sale management service the sale actually was concluded on schedule. After selling 12 properties in the last 3 years through different agents around the country I cannot emphasise the importance of this enough, otherwise all you will end up with is classic house purchase/sale turmoil. Basically, all agents have a Rightmove listings, charge similar commission & will obviously organise viewings etc, but there is only one agency that i have found in recent years that has a Peter Batty ensuring your requirements as a client are actually met. Highly recommended!

I was selling my elderly mother’s house and apart from doing a professional job throughout the process, they went above and beyond in their sensitivity and support throughout the transaction. I can definitely recommend the Chislehurst branch of Alan de Maid. I have now used this Agent three times. I have consistently found the manager Peter to be highly proactive, well connected with other estate agents and knowledgeable about the local housing market.
