If you want your deposit back I would heavily advise you not to go to this establishment.
In the invoice vague prices were listed and they we’re not willing to provide further evidence and disclose what certain terms mean.They provided me a poor looking Invoice that seemed unprofessional and made on the spot with no VAT details or contact information to the cleaning company.I asked for further information and they said and I quote “we are not obligated to provide them”.
I have expressed my doubts on the legitimacy of the vague wording on the invoice such as “deep clean flat”and “grubby doors”.. I have deep cleaned prior to leaving left minuscule things that weren’t cleaned ..
Additionally, for people who are not British they would speak to me in a condescending and rude manner despite being a paying tenant ...especially Sophie Buckthrope.
I’m not even a tenant anymore and they’re asking me about keys for the letterbox… as a real estate agent and me no longer being a tenant for 2 months now …that’s YOUR job to figure it out not mine…how unprofessional..When they need something they’ll contact you for their own benefit at your own inconvenience but if you need something they’ll treat you like rubbish.

I used this company to find tenants. I was not notified of up coming viewings as my contact details were incorrect. I spent a night away and returned home the following night to find all my vertical blinds WIDE open, even the front bay window. The streetlight outside the house left my house on full view to all passing by for a day and a half. Also 2 lights left on. Shocking to come home at 10 pm and be so exposed. Incorrect details on ZERO deposit form, my own conditions omitted on the final contract. This was not rectified and almost cost my tenant and myself 2 extra move in days. I cut my holiday short to go into the office on key pick up day. I knew something was not going to be right.. In fact I heard the girl telling my tenant they could not move in for 2 days as I had not signed the contract. They failed to add that the contract was incorrectly filled out by them. It's taken almost 3 weeks to receive my invoice. I was overcharged £100 which I noticed and called about and it will be rectified. All in all, nice people, just rather incompetent, so never again for me.

We have had nothing but issues with Bairstow Eves since we rented a property 3 years ago. We have received chasing emails for rent that they had misplaced, a breach of contract warning for a property inspection that was booked and not registered on their system and countless more issues. We had so many issues with the property when when we first moved in and it took weeks/months to get the smallest problems resolved. Countrywide are even worse - Would not recommend.

5 stars, the best agency in Nottingham that I have ever been to, and I have been to almost all of them, there were difficulties in finding housing, since I am not currently employed.
At Bairstov Eves, I was treated humanely, all the employees with whom I interacted there, Sharon, Joseph and Kieran, were very professional, but most importantly they treated me humanely, when I went to view the apartment I knew that there really was a great chance of renting it, others Agencies often didn’t even call me back after viewing, they didn’t even bother to say “no.”
Here the agents treat you like a valuable client and not like prey.
I would especially like to mention Joseph Latham, who was the guide for the apartment I rented, it’s nice to see the agent who really fights for you to get an apartment, a very pleasant and fast agent! On Monday the landlord accepted my application, and on Thursday I already had the contract in my hands and the keys to the apartment! Bravo! Highly recommended!

What a great team. Never have i received such amazing service. The professionalism, and team morale in this branch is second to none. This being my first day viewing properties in the midland's, i thought as a cockey essex boy property investor i would get laughed at.
Boy was i wrong, these people really know what they are doing and take it seriously.
From my first enquiries on rightmove i got an instant call from joe. Joe helped me right from the start to get straight into the nitty gritty facts without all the fluff that usually comes with buying a property. Yet he done it with carisma and charm that i just wanted to buy something off him! Also i want to mention Alison, i presume the manager as she seemed like the don of all things property in nottingham, sitting up on her desk at a higher level, throwing knowledge and facts at me about the local market and properties. I was in pure bliss.
Then the ‘well thought out’ layout has an entire team of letting agents sitting a stones throw from the sales department. Hugely beneficial for me being a hands off (lazy) landlord. I just got up from joes desk and walked 10 steps to the letting department to speak to the lovely sophie. She gave me all the details i needed to help me decide what properties i would like to put offers on.
This is truly a one stop, money making shop for me and im looking forward to working with these guys for years to come as my ever expanding business start to venture into the midlands.

We recently completed a purchase with Bairstow Eves that took 11 months in total, largely due to very poor communication from the seller that wasn't helped in any way by BE as the agent. As an experienced investor making regular purchases, this was one of the longest and most frustrating processes I've experienced. I had 4 different points of contact through the purchase and found it very difficult trying to get any sort of communication or help from them (the first 3 were awful and each left the company and I was passed to somebody new each time). Eventually I was passed to Joe, who I must say was excellent (quick to respond and helpful to follow up with the seller for us), and it was probably only thanks to his assistance that we eventually completed the purchase successfully. It's luck of the draw as to which staff member you end up working with, as if it weren't for Joe, I would have given them a rating of just 1 star, they were honestly one of the worst agents I've dealt with for most of the process. His support alone is what bumps my rating up to 3 stars.

I am a landlord, and I have been dealing with a chap called Kieran, in the lettings department. He simply wants to bully people into taking the first tenant that comes along, so that he can get his fee, I am sure. He is rude, and speaks over me. I do not believe he is suited to his job. If I could have left a 0 star or minus star, I would have. Management need to look at his standards. Any experienced landlord knows that it is better to wait until one finds the right tenant, as putting the wrong tenant into a property is a costly exercise, in terms of damages, lost rent and hassle. He should know this, as an agent. He is very rude to deal with, and slammed down the phone, when I would not take the tenants, as they have very little letting history.

The quality of service was critical in ensuring tenants were also happy and stayed in the property for long periods, renewing their tenancies year after year. As a first time landlady I feel a must to share the exceptional experience I had using Bairstoweves Maid Marian Way Nottingham.
A friend had highly recommended we use a lady in the team by the name of Rebecca Humber. He had used Bairstoweves himself to let several properties and he recommended asking for her personally.
Well let me tell you, he wasn’t wrong. She is such an asset to the Bairstoweves Nottingham team.
From the moment we met her it was apparent that she was such a lovely lady and knew how to deal with all our needs.
This wasn’t just a house to let, it was our family home we were letting so it held so many memories for us and we wanted to do the best we could to find the right tenants.
Rebecca guided us all the way through the process and was always there at the end of the phone to answer any questions and offer advice if we needed it from start to finish, nothing being to much trouble with her friendly can do attitude.
We also dealt with some of the other members of the team that were all as helpful as each other along the way.

Didn't turn the water on for me when I moved in..searched for the stop valve but couldn't find it anywhere. Had to call a plumber out who managed to find it after about 30 minutes of searching. Billed the amount to Barstow Eves and they refused to pay. They said "common sense should have prevailed" and I should have found the stop valve. I'm sorry but common sense should've have prevailed and you should have checked the water was turned on before moving me in. Disgraceful agent hooked up with countrywide estates repairs who are probably the worst company I've ever encountered in my life, along with Bairstow Eves.

Excellent service from Shanna at the Nottingham branch. Responded very quickly to my first email enquiry, arranging a viewing for the following afternoon. Very friendly and relaxed viewing and was honest about the property and the landlord. This helped to convince me to apply for the flat which I did within ten minutes of viewing.
At this point I expected to wait 2-3 weeks for everything to be checked and finalised. It was in fact offered to me the following day then signed, sealed and I had the keys in under 7 days! Amazing work from Bairstow Eves. This is the second time I have rented a property through them and I can thoroughly recommend their services.

I strongly advise anyone considering renting a property in the NG8 area to steer clear of this letting agent. Their negligence and lack of professionalism are simply unacceptable. Save yourself the trouble and find a more reputable agency that values its tenants and ensures proper maintenance. Take my word for it and avoid this letting agent at all costs!

Recently used Bairstow Eves to sell my property. Katie arrived promptly and addressed all my questions during the initial visit and gave the property what I felt was a fair evaluation.
There was lots of interest in the property immediately, probably thanks to the high quality photographs and listing that Bairstow put together. They managed the viewings by booking out 2 block slots to limit the disruption to me during the vast number of viewings.
Jake helped during negotiations to help me get the best offer from multiple offers received.
After the sale was confirmed, Alice did a fantastic job ensuring that everyone was kept up to date and ensured things kept moving throughout the process. She spoke with both solicitors regularly and was always well spoken and professional when I spoke with her.

Disappointed and would not use again. We viewed a property twice. No call back after either viewing despite making our interest clear in the follow up calls we had to make. We tried to call to make an offer and were told someone would contact us. This didn't happen. We walked into branch today to get an answer and were told it has been sold. No attempt was made to contact us since our second viewing.
We are cash buyers and will now take our business elsewhere. We are working with about 5 Estate agents and none of the others have been this poor. We were warned about Bairstowe Eve's lack of customer service but thought we'd try. Sharing this warning to save others similar experiences.

The whole branch at Sherwood Nottingham are rubbish. The worst one being Jacob Richardson who is new homes manager but us always clueless. I have sent him email and it’s over 2 months he hasn’t responded. He thinks it’s ok to do this!!. When you call him- he never answers his calls and tells his colleagues to cover up for him saying he’s not around, he’s on the phone etc etc etc. he needs training on good customer service!! Rubbish service from him. Won’t be ever using them again!!

I found communication with Bairstow Eves was always straight-forward and pleasant. However, the rent for the property I rented was expensive for what it was (£600 for a simple one bedroom flat on Forest Road, went up to £615 just after I moved out). The only reason I rented the place was because I would have otherwise been homeless, so I had no choice but to take it. Upon moving out I wasn't able to take everything with me. They wanted to take a ridiculous £200! from my deposit to remove everything else, even though the cost wouldn't have been anywhere near that ...there really wasn't that much left in the property to warrant such an amount. I understand this is more to do with the landlord though.

I rented a property with this bairstow branch for just over two years. Throughout the whole process of viewing the property and the application process, everyone was nothing but helpful. When I first got the property it was in the initial stages of the covid lockdown, and the staff honestly went above and beyond, before they closed to help us move in etc. Whenever I have phoned for advice, questions or to report an issue with the property, I am greeted by the most loveliest and polite people. This is by each member of staff.
An example is my shower broke down in December, and within a week it was sorted. Thanks to their amazing coordination and communication.
I honestly think all the staff here create such a welcoming and positive environment for customers.

As a landlord, I cannot recommend this Bairstow Eves branch strongly enough !!
I always use them for appointing new tenants and the drawing up of new contracts.
As one would expect from a large well established organisation, their approach is completely professional. However, alongside this, is the warmth and friendliness more often associated with a smaller business.
I always enjoy dealing with them when I have a property To Let. They're a real pleasure to work with and nothing is ever too much trouble. It seems clear to me that they actually enjoy their jobs.
Particular thanks to Rebecca - an absolute star !!
The fees are reasonable to boot.

We used Bairstow Eves Estate Agents to sell our property, we could not have asked for a better sales negotiator than Alice Ingram. Alice was brilliant, she kept us updated with viewings and offers that came in. Alice was on hand at the end of the phone and always responded to emails quickly. With being in a long chain it seemed quite difficult when It came to the legal side, Alice had all the details of the other estate agents within the chain as well as contact details for my and buyers solicitors and was constantly on the phone contacting them for updates and relaying the information back to us. Alice went above and beyond for us and we are so grateful, Towards the end our stress levels were so high but Alice was able to get to the bottom of the problems from solicitors to make sure we completed on time. From my experience with this letting agency, I am amazed about how professional they are, as they are also for the tenant interest (free of charge) in the same way they have obligations to landlords; I mean they do not let any interest to overbear against their customer. they know the value of a tenant. they value tenants as kings, unlike other agency who sees themselves as prefects against tenants, while they simultaneously round trip landlords. I strongly recommend the standard of Bairstoweves operations to all letting agencies. Our World would be a better place.

I have recently rented a house through Bairstow Eves and I feel I have to give a mention to Alice Ingram who was my agent, Alice was very professional and friendly, she was also very knowledgeable and nothing was ever too much trouble for her. Be careful when you go with Bairstow Eves Nottingham. They try to cheat in every aspect. My wife has been renting a house from this agency for almost 2 years. When she was extending the last contract she was told by one of the agents that she could leave the house anytime during this period after giving a month notice. Now they are completely denying this and charging her £450 early leaving fees for a £625/month house. They hardly reply emails, rather call the tenant, may be to deny the conversations in future.
This is not the end, they often come for viewing without any notice. After informing them several time they repeat the same thing.
So, take house from this agency at your own risk!

I just want to say, this review is mainly of a person, rather than the whole company. Although, if every single agent is as brilliant as Sophie Buckthorpe, the whole company is amazing too.
We've all gone through the hassles of renting a property, having a landlord who isn't really predisposed to fixing issues in a timely manner, or at all. And you have to chase up the agency who have a million things to do at once themselves.
Sophie went above and beyond. She was so incredibly patient and kept fighting for us and what we needed to get the biggest issues at the property resolved. I'd usually be surprised with any letting agency who actually is able to pull off half of what Sophie accomplished (I've honestly only had bad experiences so far, but I guess it makes sense since I only lived in London before). Not to mention she did it in the middle of a pandemic, I can't even imagine the amount of workload she had.
We are all tired, the world is a mess, all we can do is pretty much stay home. If home isn't somewhat at least pleasant, it can really wreck someone's mental health, specially during times such as this. I had been waiting so long to get some of the most major issues dealt with, I can't thank Sophie enough for all the time and dedication, and for personally seeing it through.
If you're thinking of renting a place with Bairstow Eves in Nottingham, I 105% recommend you ask for Sophie Buckthorpe.

As a landlord, I’ve been working with Bairstow eves for over three years now. I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while and now is probably a good time to give an informed one. Although my review is more focused on the letting side, I can also vouch for the sales team too.
They have a very strong team - from what I can see I think they are one of the larger agents in Nottingham. As such there are quite a few members in the team, so there is always someone there to help. Sophie the branch manager, Amy the assistant manager, Tiffany... I can go on. All of the team members are very friendly, competent and I can rely on them. That’s very important to me.
I have a few properties with them and I know that they are managing them well both in terms of meeting the legal requirements and in terms of ensuring that the tenants are happy. They have some good contractors that they have strong relationships with which means any issues are dealt with quickly and effectively.
As it stands today, I don’t look at Bairstow Eves as being just my managing agents but more like my business partners. I go to them for advice and support and I know I’ll always get the best service. At first I used multiple agents and over time I’ve moved them to Bairstow Eves. I’d gladly give them 5 stars. Keep up the great work guys!

A smooth experience so far and have had no issues. Property is managed by a landlady/lord so there's not much contact with the agents any more but the checkout process was pretty easy.
Very detailed inventory photos (In colour too!) giving good peace of mind when it comes to leaving that there won't be any hidden work to complete.

I asked Bairstow Eves to find tenants for my property and I have been dealing wit Amy Hindle and Amy Ashmore at their Nottingham Branch. Right from the start, both 'Amys' have given a highly efficient, professional and friendly service. And after a very short time they had found very suitable tenants for me. I have been extremely impressed, especially the fact they have, on more than one occasion, 'gone the extra mile' for me, for example, helping me with my application for a licence from Nottingham City Council. This estate agency is really recommended, and a big 'thank you' to both Amys!

This company remains a very bad company to rent with. We initially rented out for six months, only to have countless people coming to check out our apartment, thereby invading our privacy. On one occasion, one of them asked us when we were leaving.
Their arrogance and treatment of us in paying us back our full one month rent because we had to leave early has been so fraudulent. I wouldn't recommend them to any prospective tenant.

I felt misguided so my advise would be to get a good few valuations from different estate agents especially ones who have sold near your area recently. The worst letting experience in my life. I have rented a house with Braistoweves on 11th of December and still have no access to the property. Despite having paid all rental fees.
Keys issued does not work. Agent responsible for contract completely not interested. If you are tenant looking to rent, avoid this agency at any cost.

As a Landlord with some 20 years experience I have never encountered such incompetency in a letting agent.
Not only do they make erroneous charges which have to be pursued to be paid back but rents are withheld and statements are inaccurate. I appointed Bairstowe Eves to "manage" some of my student properties and have sadly spent a disproportionate amount of my time rectifying the plethora of errors.
If you are a Landlord expecting a first class service which then allows you to focus your energy on building your business, do not instruct Bairstowe Eves. They will drain your energy and distract you from enjoying what should be a pleasurable career choice!
Sadly, I've had to apply one star to be able to post this review. If there was the option for no stars, they'd have won this hands down.

Duplicitous and sketchy. I ended up living in a house that was up for sale before I ever moved in, without my knowledge, that had failed an electrical safety test over a year ago and was not rectified until the final three weeks of our tenancy, and with water damage from a recurring problem that only ever been patched over (according to the contractors). At first I was impressed. The letting agent was friendly, and sympathetic to our previous experience of renting a property we only found out was up for sale after we moved in. The inventory was thorough, everything seemed great. A few weeks later I'm getting phone calls asking to arrange viewings of the property I'm now renting. Turns out it was up for sale, and had been for some time. This was never mentioned to me, right up until I signed the contract. I wasn't happy living in a property up for sale, but hoped that it would sell to investors swiftly as they promised and said they could have as many viewings as they liked one weekend a month. After 2 months, water started dripping from the ceiling and we cancelled a viewing while the repairman came out. I shortly after received angry emails from the manager, Sophie, threatening a notice 21 and eviction due to our "lack of cooperation and not providing reasonable access". I was also told after I complained that they were "under no legal duty to inform us the property was up for sale". Despicable. I made a formal complain to the manager about the agent not informing us, but I have little doubt that this was ignored. Fortunately they had no legal ground to stand on, and we refused all viewings until the final 2 months as stipulated in our contract, and gave notice to vacate at the end of our tenancy. I've now had to go through moving house twice in a year, a stressful and expensive experience thanks to poor practice from this branch of Bairstow Eves. If "Up for sale" isn't considered as vital information to impart to prospective tenants I don't know what is. Be careful when dealing with this lettings team. As a final note, it's fortunate most tenant fee's have now been abolished, as they also charged me £450 for the privilege of their malpractice.

Very Poor! First it was difficult to get a valuation appointment despite giving 17 days notice of the day we wanted the vacation done. As they had not turned up on time I decided to call and it turned out there valuer was sick but they didn't think to let me know. All this is very disappointing considering the size and amount of people that work in this branch. Really wanted to use Bairstow as they are the only estate agent I've used to sell property before & I couldnt have more happy with the service.

Absolute mess around!
Had a call that the property I am currently tenanted in would be being viewed at 10am on a Saturday morning.
I work long hours and Saturday is my one day off so I was already agitated that I would have to be up so early.
Waiting until 10:15 and there was still no viewing. When I called up Bairstow Eves they informed me it had been cancelled the previous day and hadn't told me.

Astronomical fees compared to other agents. I was given conflicting information when viewing a property to rent, where one agent claimed there had been considerable interest in a property whereas another said I was one of two viewings. I suspect this was a dishonest tactic used to incite fear in losing out, which is dispicable. Despite my fee being paid, the property is still being advertised, viewings are still being taken and I was advised it is quite possible admin fees could be taken from other prospective tentants for the same property at the same time. I was given incorrect information over the phone about how to make my application. I was not given any terms and conditions of the fee I was paying until I asked for them. My identity documents were copied but not updated on the system, nor was there any record of my paperwork being returned. The landlord wasn't advised of my application until I chased the agent. I tried calling multiple times but got no answer during core office hours. I left two voicemails and received no response. Progress on my application is painfully slow and when I have phoned the Maid Marion Way branch to air my grievances about the catalogue of errors, I was told 'it's just human error' and 'we have a skeleton team today so can't help you right now'. It's incredibly dissapointing how corrupt and poorly run the lettings industry in this country is and this company is a particularly poor example.

As a landlord I find them useless and incompetent. The lease agreement is full of mistakes and despite advising to make the changes - lease never corrected.
I could go on and on about the issues I have with them. Their staff are not very polite but the Manager Sophie Buckthorpe needs to go on a skills development course!!!!

Dear Bairstow Eves,
I have approached you due to your brilliant reviews and happy custommers. I can personally say that the service you have delivered to me is under standards - and this is very politely said.
Your Estate Agent Callum Polak has showed me a property in Nottingham having all bills included which I liked and agreed to rent. I have asked him to send the Tennant Agreement so that I could read it before signing it. At the moment I was living 2.5 hours away from Nottingham and my reasoning was to read the contract before travelling 5 hours to sign it.
This process lasted from November 2018 to January 2019 and my move date was closing in without me actually reading the Contract. Callum Polak has forwarded my emails to Mollie Mann and Sophie Buckthorpe and thse ladies went through all sort of tricks in order to postpone sending the paperwork over: they were promissing to send the contract on the following week, or the next day, or in the following hour. It lasted more than a month. When calling their office,their colleagues were constantly putting me on hold and then telling me these ladies are unnavailable because they were having lunch ( at 2 in the afternoon, at 4 in the afternoon, at 9 in the morning, at 10 am, at 11 am, at any hour I was calling them)or they were out of office and will come back to me on the following day. And this was going on on a daily basis, with the moving date closer and closer.
I have finally said that I won't rent the property and I agreed losing my deposit due to this.I was sick of this kind of treatement from Sophie Buckthorpe and Mollie Mann. And then finally they have sent the Contract with a load of mistakes :
- the rental fee in the Contract was GBP 150 larger than agreed
- even though the property was advertised with all bills included the Contract was stating that bills were have to be paid by me, even though:
-I have asked the letting agent to sort out the heating in the bedroom and that was not sorted- and we were in December allready
- doors on property weren't closing/openig properly and that wasn't sorted- it still isn't
- entry door had a big gap between it and frame and without proper heating winter cold was getting into the apartment
-none of my conditions to move in were sorted: heating, hot water, etc.
After reading I have asked Mollie Mann and her manager Sophie Buckthorpe to rectify the Contract as per our agreement and send it back. It didn't happend and they were again unnavailable over the phone or email. I have called the Letting Agent Callum Pollak and he promissed all will be sorted and please give me a good review on Google. I didn't get the Contract as requested and still no answer to my calls.
So, Callum Pollak, this is my review for you: you are selling properties which are under standards and you promise that problems will be fixed and they arent't. You are also 'unnavailable' over the phone when facing custommers complaints and you don't answer your emails again when facing complaints. MY rating for you: minus one star. Please look for another job. Same for Sophie Buckthorpe and Mollie Mann.
When the signing day was actually next day, Sophie Buckthorpe called and asked me to pop in to their office to sign the paperwork. She again promissed the Contract will have all the required amendments and the entry door will be fixed, heating will be provided, windows will be repaired.
Next day, the contract had same mistakes:
-larger rent
-bills not included
-the agent was going to contact suppiers in my name and have new contracts in my name for electricity, water, gas, phone,concil tax.
We have argued with Sophie Buckthorpe and in the end she had agreed to add one line at the end of the contract: ' Landlord is notifying you that she will pay all bills' . But refused removing all those lines saying that they will contact suppliers. She added another line: ' This line is invalidating lines 2 to 5 '. It still wasn't totally correct but I have signed. Big Mistake !
After two months in the property, Spark has called me asking when I am paying the bills.

Please boycott this estate agents as it's the only they'll learn not to rip off tenants. They wanted to charge us £550 for an application which is day light robbery, no where else charges anywhere near that. They didn't even turn up to the house viewing, so what exactly are we paying for? Certainly not their customer service or friendliness.
To any landlord thinking of going with them, don't. Right now a landlord would have their vacant flat filled but instead they will lose out on rent for another month because of the stupid fees they charge here.
To any tenant thinking of getting a house with them, don't. Not only are the fees not justifiable but from talking to a tenant who is with them they are useless and annoying estate agents to have.

They informed me of the new laws which other agents didnt and really showed they wanted to look after me and the house as well as doing their job to find a tenant. As a tenant, if you want to be ripped off and receive poor service the second something goes wrong, use this branch. Last year i signed a contract for a furnished flat, turned out to be unfurnished by the time i moved in and no one bothered to inform me! Bilal, who rented it never called me back, maybe once out of six requests, in the end i got the contract cancelled with the branch manager, but still ended up losing the rip off letting fee (over £300) and the first month rent and deposit.
I'd forgotten all about this bad experience when today i receive, totally out the blue over a year later, an email from Bairstow saying i owe them money!!! £60 for "rental arrears" What a joke, i think this company has had enough money out of me and they must be struggling to make a profit if they need to go back and try to squeeze money out of former tenants from years back. Horrible company, avoid!

Very friendly and helpful when you're moving into a place, not so much when you are trying to move out. I was ignored for days on end then when I followed up the person sent me unhelpful emails not at all answering my questions. This was the first time I've rented by myself and they were useless, would not recommend to anyone. Given two stars because of the lovely customer service I received from Nadine and Tiffany but shocking service overall.

This is a first class estate agent. As a landlord I have a wonderful experience. I needed to rent my house due to a temporary contract in New Zealand. B & E was efficient, fast, understanding our needs, and empathetic. Dominick made the valuation and Tiffany showed the house. We had a positive surprise with the number of candidates they brought. Everything was smooth and professional. Dominick and Tiffany are always available for our queries, something very important with us staying now overseas.
I had a lot of experience in the past with well known estate agents in Nottingham. B & E is not only the best, is the only one that was good for us. I think the personal element is key, and hence the names of the people who worked so well with us.
It is my understanding that our tenants are also happy with the service. I have also B & E managing the letting with their service, and I find it second to none.

Don't use their letting service, it's totally a waste of time and money. We had put in an application on 13th August, since then it's a nightmare. We have to run after them to get a update. Always get the response that they will call me back, but they never do! "Luckily" we got refused by the landlord, so we will get our admin fee refund that we are still waiting. I cannot imagine what il will be like using their services as a tenant!

If your a student at Nottingham Trent looking for a house for second or third year I would not recommend. Like other reviews, helpful when viewing a place but when they have your deposit attitude changes drastically. Upon meeting the landlord he was overall disrespectful throughout the tenancy, called my housemate a c**t for not being able to get back into university for his second year, so clearly no screening process for bad landlords. When it came to receiving our deposit back they had taken £300 for a "full decoration" a job only worth £25 for painting a few marks on the walls and a £60 "move out charge". As this was my first experience with a letting agency it was horrible and as a clueless student I feel the landlord and Bairstow eves took advantage of this for their own benefit.

Having read the other reviews I don't think it will come as a surprise that I find the manager of the branch Sophie Buckthorpe frankly rude and obnoxious. As expected they are lovely and polite whilst they pull you into a property. Once you're in then you're tied to a contract and attitudes change. I was in a property 18 months under them, it was a joke as first day washer broke, they strongly advised we buy our own as the landlord will not replace it. Next the shower leaked and seal in oven allowing heat out making cooking difficult, both of these got repaired......6 months later after disputing it with these and him they got fixed. In the mean time mould was growing in two of three bedrooms.....the landlord replied via them that we should wash/clean it off. They are now using the mould as reason not to release deposit back to us after leaving. So if you have sense avoid these rude, obnoxious people and perhaps you will enjoy renting a property.

Giving one star to this agency is too much. The worst possible experience renting I have ever had. Rude staff, poor communication, unexpected visits from the agency/landlords, unnecessarily taking deposit money from residents to do basic renovations that should come with a home etc. The stress that comes with renting from Bairstow Eves is genuinely terrible. I really hope people read this and avoid using their services in Nottingham.

Tiana Digva is a very good realtor agent! Has excellent skills to handle any situation! I was pleasantly surprised by her human approach and determination to do my best to make my family, as a customer of Bairstows, get the best that the agency offers. Tiana is smiling, patient and careful. I strongly recommend it as an example of estate agent!

Here's some of the issues I had with this agency:
- You will receive tons of automatic SMS messages even after you found a place
- They first agreed to make some changes to the tenancy agreement and then didn't include them in the final draft
- They won't tell you in advance what you need and I had to go to the agency twice because I didn't have the right documents with me
- When I entered the house it was incredibly dirty, they didn't think about sending somebody to clean it
- They didn't give me information related to the place that the landlord asked them to tell me
- The fee were quite high compared to other agencies
I have to mention that their role in this was purely to find a tenant and after that I talked directly to the landlord.
In the end there are not many alternatives but make sure to have everything in writing and ask them to send you the documentation before going to the agency for signing it. You would think that they will send this before hand without asking so that you can check it, but they won't.

My daughter rents a property through this branch. The service has been appalling. She has had problems with the boiler since April. On numerous occasions she has had no hot water. She has no hot water now. They are hopeless at responding to e mails and she has been treated very badly.
To call themselves agents is beyond a joke. A troupe of monkeys would be more capable.

I wish i read the reviews before paying the agency fee of 500 pounds for a couple.
Everything about this agency is just wrong. They are owned by the same company as Frank INNES.
They are so ruthlessly selfish and greedy with the way they deal with their tenants.
The way it works is that everything works to favour them and the landlord but NEVER the tenant.
I paid 500 pounds immediately after viewing the property, they finally told me after 4 days of waiting that the landlord decided to go with me. Meanwhile they had my money and i could not pull out, if not i lose my 500 pounds.
After waiting about 6 weeks and i kept pressurizing them for a date to move in ( even though they gave a date on the property advert!) They then turned round to tell me the property was no longer available as the landlord will not be moving again.
So firstly, I waited 4 days after paying 500 pounds to find out who the landlord decided to go with! Why can't your company find out first who the landlord wants to go for THEN.... take your fees?
I feel like i was held to ransom, because i could not pull out (if not lose 500 pounds) and yet they pulled out after 6 weeks of my waiting for a move in date, wasted my time and held on to my money for over 6 weeks. So....If i pull out I lose my hard earned money, if they pull out then NOTHING happens!!
Your company is a disaster waiting to happen.
Also a staff called Nisha was also rude and hung up on me. I emailed in to complain and no one even bothered to reply or apologise.
This agency is all about money and nothing more.

A few staff in the branch are so rude. One actually told me that faulty washing machines are not life threatening problems when our washing machine broke down. It took them close to 2 months to get it sorted. Same with other problems we have in our flat. Moreover their agency fee is too expensive

Found a lovely property to rent and decided to give them a call to arrange a viewing, unfortunately they didn't make any efforts to find a viewing appointment that could suit us both, they gave me two dates to view the property which I couldn't make but I told them I had all this week off to view properties and they simply couldn't even be bothered to try and make any effort to get me an appointment.
Now after reading the other reviews I'm actually grateful I didn't get a viewing as I believe this company would have only wasted my time.
Shame though I would have really loved to rent that property.

This is a review left by a Landlord, bunch of con-artists, liars and I have never met a bunch of such deceitful people - excluding Barclays Bank.
They cannot tell the truth, they play both sides and are extremely poor at that. Make up fantasy stories, quote law which none of them are qualified to do. I feel sorry for tenants having to actually sit and listen to their complete and utter rubbish - thankfully I do not need them and would never use them again. Even if I had a shed for rent I would not give it to these bunch of jokers.

TERRIBLE !! Treated disgusting by this estate agency. We had a student property for two years and when we moved in it was filthy. We looked after the house and cleaned it up. After having dealt with many problems at the problems at the house, with the estate agency reluctant to help out with, such as having a water bill being changed into our names and then the estate agency wanting to charge us money to send a copy of the contract to seven trent water to clear it up. After all this when it came to moving out, they are going to take £380 from our joint deposit for "cleaning" e.g a few bin bags left inside the house. which is just another money spinner for them. Also a £50 move out charge ! But worst of all they have said we owe £639 in rent arreas, then which changed to £684 but yet everyones sent their statements proving they've paid it in. UNHELPFUL STAFF, who keep fobbing you off and try to avoid you ! would not recommend to anyone, especially for students, they see you as CASH COWS!!! Maybe posting on here will get me a useful response .... Wish i could post ZERO STARS but GOOGLE forces me to put at least 1

My sale was very very complicated but both Paul & Chris never made me feel that anything was too much trouble. I even received calls on a Saturday to keep me up to date. Only started using them but I have to agree with other reviews I've seen. They seen to be interested in just taking the money and never being heard from again. Which would be fine but the flats we're living in need a key fob to use the elevator, which we only have 1 of between 2 of us and they are in no rush to sort out. Meaning we have one set of keys to enter and exit the building between 2 people. Aswell they just clearly wrote up everything left in the flat into the inventory, we had 2 old modems left on there, does the landlord really need those back when I leave? Of course not. Half-assed and amateur. And on top of that they charge about twice as much as every letting agent I've used up to now.

Following a dreadful experience with William H Brown that lasted 9 months without a sale, we engaged Bairstow Eves to list and market a property in the city centre. The result was that the property was listed, marketed and the sale completed within 11 weeks. The Manager (Chris Pick) always responds to email queries whether early morning or late evening and liaised directly with our conveyancer to speed up matters. Our valuer (Nathaniel Lowers) had the property on the market within 7 days and we had an outstanding Sales Negotiator in Samantha Simkins who matched us with a buyer and spoke to us daily as we progressed through the sale.

Recently used Bairstow Eves in Nottingham to sell my property, having been on the market with another agent and I can not rate them high enough.
They sold my property for very close to the asking price, thanks to some professional photos they made my house look fantastic as the previous so called professional agents photos were dreadful and very dark.
Regular updates throughout the sale, resulted in me exchanging contracts just 10 weeks after going on the market. Thanks so much to Nathaniel, Sam and Chris for a job well done.

They are very efficient at securing your cash from you when you sign your tenancy agreement, but very inefficient at releasing it after the landlord has advised them to let us have our full deposit of £975....well over the guaranteed 10 days and it wasn't all down to the landlord. We were treated very rudely by staff at this branch. I would advise any tenants, prospective or current, to be aware of this...not many people can afford to wait for their money to be returned when moving from one let to another, it's a critical, and potentially crippling, time financially.
