The worst letting agency I’ve ever come across in my decade of renting.
1. They never answers their phone, I called them 17 times in 4 days to enquire about a property to rent.
2. They never answer their emails, emailed 4 times about the same property I wish to rent.
3. Unorganised, all the branches do not communicate so it’s basically like multiple companies/organisations with one name.
4. Interestingly the sales department for this branch picked up on the first call, what? Is there no one in letting’s for 4 working days?
So in short, it says to contact the company on Rightmove for viewings or questions yet neither phone nor email is possible. Never mind viewings, how are we supposed to even rent a property listed with this company if no one answers? Unfortunately I do not have a magic wand or cristal ball to give me the needed documents to rent a property under this company.
I’m writing this review because I saw a lot of amazing reviews and thought this company was reliable and great, well in my experience they’re anything but.
If anyone is reading this, yes I am annoyed, frustrated and angry. However in truth, I haven’t written this review while blindly in rage. These are the stone. Hard. Facts.
Please just do better. If no one is in office then put it on Google maps or take down the adverts on sites like Rightmove because it’s so frustrating being handed to different people on the phone who all say things like: “oh this is xxx you need to call the Collindale branch at xxx number” really? Who would’ve guessed Sherlock? I’ve tried that.
P.S I know the spelling of the company is wrong in the photo, I don’t care.

Nick helped me a lot with the purchase of my first flat. I mostly knew which flat I wanted to purchase myself, but there were so many other things to complete. (Final update: I got back my deposit in full after a time-consuming argument process which was not necessary.)
In short, letting agent is good but property mangement team will unreasonably deduct of deposit at end of lease.
1 of issues as example, they diposed landlord's furnitures mistakenly, but said they disposed my stuff remained in flat and charge me GBP50.
Secondly, the property manager tries to ignore my arguments or selectively reply my arguments which is not honest but just trying to force me accept it.
Another example is joiner between freezer door and exterior door, because of aged, the exterior door keeps detaching from freezer door, no matter how many times it has been fixed. I also have requested to fix it before end of lease but it quickly becomes detached again after a few days. The Benham requests to deduct deposit on this problem, however, in fact it will alaways detach again.

Very good and incredibly easy Lettings estate to deal with. With commission prices increasing, Benham and Reeves, have delivered their worth. Always being prompt, efficient and on time with all communications and works that have to be done to my property. With finding renters and managing the property to repairs, their infrastructure for managing properties is a five star, it’s best that I have seen. Very good for landlords who do not reside in the UK, makes it easy to be away as they really manage and handle everything. My wife and I rented an apartment with Benham & Reeves in Colindale, Rahim Velji was helping us. The process of renting was surprisingly smooth and nice. We were able to rent the apartment even before it appeared on the market. It took 2-3 weeks from seeing the apartment to moving in.
There was one minor problem. When we started to live in the apartment, the ventilation here was not working. We weren't explained how to turn it on, and it wasn't easy at all. This required ~2 weeks and one technician to come to our apartment and explain it to us. I would prefer to hear this from people, who manage the apartment, it would just be easier.

The best part of Benham & Reeves as a letting agency is that after you made an offer and paid a holding deposit, viewings of the property will stop. It made it possible for us to receive an approval from a landlord mostly immediagely after we submitted an offer. It was stess free and without unwanted competition or auction.
Process of background check and singning tenancy agreement were clear and quick. It took only 4 days to complete all paper work and move in withing short time period.

A great area to live: very convenient and nice surroundings. B&R did a great job in managing the flat I stayed in (issues got fixed quickly) and in communicating with the landlord (e.g. for renewing rent contract).
The only minor complaint that I have is that the end-of-tenancy checkout is a bit nitpicky.
Despite that, big shout out for Kayleigh who was very patient and understanding throughout the whole checkout process. I was slow in completing the checkout due to moving to my newly bought home, and thanks to Kayleigh, we sorted out many complications along the way and got the checkout done.

The boiler was leaking and Ms K. Weston was very responsive in contacting the landlord to solve the issue. Shortly after she received my email, the contractor came to check where from the boiler was leaking and 3 days later he visited again to fix the issue. Though it could have been better if the issue had been checked and fixed within the same day as it might not be easy for some people to take days off, Ms Weston did her best under the circumstances/the landlord's instructions. Her effort is much appreciated.

Shocking Estate Agent. They not only don’t show any interest to have you as a client when you go office searching for properties. Also shocking when you made a offer and pay deposit for a property, and after 72h, you still have no response from landlord and estate agent regarding the offer I made.
I don’t want to know if that’s the same attitude they’ll have when I become a tenant on that property.. but reading some reviews, I lost my interest on the property.

The lettings agent Rahim was very helpful throughout the process. He was clear about what the offer entitled us and explained everything well. He was also very accommodating of circumstances as they can usually change during a move.
The management office which handles concerns post move were quite helpful and accommodating as well. Maz who is responsible for handling my flat has been arranging fixes and coordinating with us to help us in the process of the move.
The administration office has some slack however. If someone is going on leave, they should forward their emails to their colleague or the person-in-charge instead of making people wait for them to return. Also, when they return, they need to clear out backlog soon.

I was living in Benham and Reeves apartment for about a year. My experience of working with them was extremely positive. The apartment check-in process was smooth.
More importantly, when living there, their maintainance services were super-responsive and helpful. For apartment issues, B&R did everything in their power to fix anything ASAP. At the time of check-out as well, they were prompt and punctual to return the full deposit on time. I would give credit to their property manager Maz for maintainance responsiveness and check-out processes.

They claim to be the official agent of Beaufort park ? Not according to Berkeley group head office .
Another concern I have is their staff like to take advantage of students especially foreign students by charging fees to negotiate discounts .
certain reviews I’ve noticed are friends of theirs , not honest at all clearly a bit dishonest to ask your friends to leave a review .
I noticed that many people complain about their deposits not being returned. Especially students who claim their charges are high for end of tenancy cleaning and repairs .

Beaufort Park is huge & B&R are not the only agent , sometimes it's worth taking a look at gumtree , rents can be slightly less and deposits can be upto 6 weeks , you'll find landlords and agents sometimes offering free internet and lower admin fees ... #gumtree
As the owner of B&R has responded I feel it's only fair people be made aware of choice , yes people you can shop around for the best deal and an agent that suits your needs , I recently heard you charge 10 weeks deposits to certain renters , again I must say looking on Gumtree would be the best option for an alternative agent .

Honestly very disappointed , as an overseas student i was told they are the only agent that deal with flats in beaufort park and trusted them , very quickly i realised they are terrible and i reported a few issues to them and they never repaired the problems and never called me back ! My friends rented from another agent on the development and got a better service even when they had some issue with a power failure the agent attended at 11pm to assure them he would resolve the issue .i was never fully returned my deposit and they kept telling me it a different department that deal with my deposit .....not happy ...

I had my first point of contact and viewing with Sarah from the Canary Wharf/Greenwich office for a studio flat in the Kidbrooke Village development. Unfortunately, that arrangement fell through and I was unable to secure that unit. However, availability opened up for the unit I'm currently in at Beaufort Park, and the entire process could not have been more fluid.
Sarah saw to it that all the information that had already been collected for my file in regards to the Kidbrooke studio was transferred to her colleagues at Beaufort Park, negating the need to undergo referencing once more.
I was then in contact with Jasmin at Beaufort Park, and she was just as helpful and professional as Sarah was.
I had been searching for a flat for quite some time before landing the one I have now, and spoke to quite a few estate agents in the process. A frightening majority of them were horribly unreliable and some were downright unprofessional. Benham and Reeves was a refreshing change of pace and made my entire flat hunting experience more enjoyable again. I have used Benham & Reeves in Colindale to rent an apartment since the development was built. We have been through both good and bad tenants over many years. Their performance has been thorough, professional and helpful at all times. They cannot eliminate all problems but they do their best to help me avoid them and have been supportive throughout.
