This was our first experience of selling a property and right from the initial valuation visit by Scott to the final completion, the staff were wonderful, guiding us every step of the way.
Nothing was too much trouble and they patiently helped us through each stage.
We felt that we mattered to them and were more than just a customer.
In particular, Dawn , the branch manager spent hours helping us with forms and constantly kept in touch to let us know how things were progressing.

I have been in the process of buying a property via the Blundells Hillsborough branch since March 2024. The process has been plagued by abysmal communication from Blundells and, even worse, service from their in-house recommended solicitors. On multiple occasions, the estate agents have agreed to answer our queries but never return calls, while the solicitors have sat on the information and refused to act on it. The process has been going on for circa six months with no end.
Avoid this estate agent and solicitors at all costs.

After struggling to sell with a different agent, we switched to blundells. They were amazing, so helpful and friendly. They conducted viewings on our behalf while we were away so that we didn't lose interest, and we had a buyer in about a month.
We dealt with Abi at the beginning, then Chris for thr majority. Both these members of staff were amazing, I particularly want to mention Chris who was very patient and kind. I felt understood and supported throughout a difficult few months, and he worked so hard to keep everything on track and everybody happy.
We bought our new house through them too so it was good only dealing with one agent.
I highly recommend Blundells.

I recently started searching for a flat to rent in Sheffield with my partner as we are both beginning studies at the University of Sheffield at the end of this year. Not only was this agency the first to respond, but my letting agent, Millicent Morgan, was quick to provide large amounts of information on flats in the area based on our requirements. We found our ideal flat within 2 weeks and have started the rest of the paper work. Millicent helped make this process go smoothly and provided us lots of options which as a new renter is always a positive. Other letting agencys I reached out to 'politely' told me we were too early based on my move in date. This was not an issue for Millicent who got to work straight away. Overall a brilliant experience thus far and I hope this trend continues into the future.

I went through Blundells Hillsborough in order to purchase my first house. As a first time buyer this process was daunting. However I was lucky enough to get Abi as my estate agent who was absolutely amazing! She talked me through all the processes and kept me up to date with any updates and movement with the property. The friendly and professional surveyor put no pressure on me when I had the initial valuation which was really different from my experience with other estate agents. This made me choose Blundells for the sale of my property and this level of service and professionalism was continued throughout. Hi, I liked the size of the house and the location. It would take a lot of changes to get it up to a modern standed basically gutting the inside. Great size garden, but a lot of work entailed in sorting the garden. I would be interested if the price was lower as I think it would cost at least 50/60 thousand to get it to where I would be happy to live in it.

If I could give ten stars I would!! I don't know how I would have coped with the hassle of moving if it hadn't been for the service I got from the girls at the Hillsborough branch. Rebecca went above and beyond with all the help she gave me, patiently explaining everything and sorting my problems and always with a smile although I must have driven her crazy calling in all the time!!! Moving is stressful in general and with the renting market as it is we were particularly worried to be making a big move from London to Sheffield. I spoke to many Sheffield based lettings agents who were dismissive and unmovable about viewings but, Blundells is entirely different in the best way! They gave us great freedom around when we'd be in Sheffield to see properties. The staff are all lovely from the moment you pick up the phone even for small questions. Hannah, Isabelle and Amy in particular are exactly the type of person you need when moving: calm, compassionate and caring. We have now sorted a brilliant let in a wonderful area and it was hassle free. When complete Blundells passed us to the private landlord with ease and peace of mind which is just what I needed starting in a new city. The day we picked up our keys they were just as nice in person as on the phone! We even got a welcome package full of useful things you forget to have straight at the top of the moving boxes like toothpaste. Couldn't recommend more thank you so much Blundells.

Absolutely appalling service trying to rent a house through this company even with fully managed service. Mistake after mistake both for myself and my tenants. The final straw was failing to let me know my last tenants hadn’t renewed their tenancy and the house was sat unoccupied! I would strongly recommend using another letting agent in the area. It’s not worth the headache and stress with Blundells.

Horrendous experience! The house sold itself with 21 viewings over 3 days!
Poor communication throughout the sale process, failed to correctly qualify our buyer which led to a 8 month completion and many complications, plus multiple stressful moments throughout the chain. Failed in every area possible and the level of staff competence was frightful, with us constantly having to prompt the next move or action.
We involved high level managers which offered very little improvement, we really felt like we didn’t matter nor was we at any point a priority, so disappointing!
Avoid at all cost, this branch and its team are a complete joke!

Our contact person Marie helped us a lot with following up on queries from our survey, including getting people in to do gas safety and electrical checks and trades quotes. I have used Blundells in Hillsborough recently to sell my property.Marie kept me up to date with all aspects of the selling process and was always on the end of the phone to answer any queries.If she was not available other staff members would always endeavour to assist. Following the great service received from Blundells,another family member has instructed Blundells to market their property which was sold in one week with the same great service.
I would also like to mention Tracy,who is the mortgage advisor at Blundells.She sorted a mortgage out for my son to buy an apartment, and worked tirelessly to achieve this and " made it happen" through her efforts and hardwork he is now a proud first time home owner.

I attempted to arrange a viewing of a property this estate agent have for sale and was told I couldn't view it unless I booked an appointment with their in-house mortgage broker.
If there isn't a regulation against this, there certainly should be.
EDIT 20/05/2021: Blundells/Countrywide have confirmed to me that all people hoping to arrange a property viewing HAVE to consult with their mortgage broker.
Apparently, this is due to Covid-19 safety guidelines and to ensure people can afford the property they want to view, but its quite clear that they are just attempting to drum up some business for their broker.

I would definitely recommend Blundells Estate Agents, the first meeting we had was with with Hayley who came out to Value the property and talk us through the process of the sale , she explained everything very clearly and outlined the cost and the process and made it sound straight forward. we agreed and things happened very quickly, the for sale sign was up the next day and the house was online soon after and viewings booked. Marie in the Blundells office kept us updated daily on who was going to view the property and when. Very efficient service and after 2 weeks the house was sold and things started moving. Marie kept in touch with us all the way through the sale and kept us informed of the buyers situation. We had a few hiccups with our solicitor but Marie gave us advice on what to do which helped the sale move along. When the house sale was ready to complete she contacted the buyer and arranged for us to meet and hand over the keys to the buyer . Nothing was too much trouble for the team we had dealing with our sale and their kind and friendly manner made what should have been a stressful time plain sailing. Marie was always there to take my call and respond to my emails, and the other people in the office did the best they could to assist when she wasn't around. It was nice to have someone in my corner, and to help chase the solicitors.
I had no problems at all, up until it switched from being dealt with by the estate agents, to being dealt with by the Solicitors. All I will say is don't go with the solicitors that Blundells recommend, even if it seems cheaper, as they weren't supportive or responsive and very unclear.
All in all I would recommend Blundells Hillsborough as they were polite, efficient and helpful. Thank you again to Marie and the team.

A long winded process that was delayed numerous months, however this was no fault of the staff at Blundells.
Sarah and Hayley were brilliant at responding and reassuring everything was being dealt with, chasing solicitors up for responses etc.
I do believe the whole process of purchasing a property needs modernizing and revamping to improve the overall customer service, maybe with all enquires and searching on a property being done or partly completed before the purchasing process begins so a lot of the smaller don't hold up the overall move.

Prior to dealing with Mrs Ward, the mortgage advisor, I had consults with other advisors which were disappointing and unsatisfactory. I used Blundells to sell my mother's house in Sheffield, after she moved into residential care. I live 150 miles away so was extremely grateful for all the support I got from the team at the Hillsborough office, in particular Hollie Fletcher who was my key contact throughout.
The marketing of the property was done quickly and efficiently and I was kept informed throughout of progress to agreeing a sale.
Once the sale had been agreed, Hollie helped to arrange for remedial damp works to be done on the house as required by the buyer's mortgage company. She also supported me in working through the legal process to completion, with additional help from Hayley and Sarah.
My only negative regarding Blundells as a whole was that I used their recommended solicitors, Countrywide Conveyancing, a decision I came to regret for a number of reasons.However Hollie did her best to help overcome some of the issues which arose from the way the conveyancing was handled.
I would definitely recommend using Blundells for house sales, but find your own solicitor!

Blundells handled the sale of our last property and achieved a sale price £55,000 higher than an absolutely identical property next door but one, which was marketed with another agent ! Dave Green valued the property and, due to the great brochure, photos and marketing, our house was sold in the first week. This was a massive success and contributed greatly towards the cost of the new property, that we have just moved into. We also used their solicitors for the conveyancing on both properties who, coincidentally, were the same solicitors we would have used if we had appointed our own. Reasonable fees and an online system to monitor progress from start to finish. Highly recommended.

It's hard being tenants and having to jump through the usual hoops - Blundells walked us through every step and made the whole thing painless. The only downside is that one can't engage with hookers on the property as part of the general T&Cs - one also can't maintain a motorboat in the lounge....

Not impressed at all with this estate agent. We were told in the sales pitch how personal the service would be. Not so. We were also told that the house would sell itself. That was true. The office lacked consistency, were poor at communicating, and out of touch. We would not use blundells again. They had a lot of money from us unfortunately, the service did not match the cost. There are more efficient and competitively priced agents than this one in our experience. Disappointed in the poor performance from this lot.

Very ably led by David Green, they make themselves available at every step and share their knowledge, expertise and most importantly, experience that they have accumulated over the years to make the sale / purchase smooth, efficient and stress free.
We have bought and sold through them and must say they are one of the, if not the most competent and professional estate agents around.
We have a portfolio of properties and Blundells are our estate agents of choice. David is the valuer and he knows a very vast area to the north of Sheffield on the back of his hand. His advice while buying and selling is priceless and valuations very very accurate. He prices to sell and maximise the value for the vendor.
Once the property is put on the market, the vendor/ buyer is kept well-informed by the team in the office. The communication is very open and answers to any questions just a phone call or email away.
Equally, if you are looking to rent or let, the Lettings team is very very professional. Kelly Boot, the Lettings manager is highly knowledgeable, professional and approachable. Kelly gives personal attention to every property we bring to her to manage. Helen provides excellent support once the property is let. From a landlord’s point of view, I will give them a 10/10. Needless to say, all our properties in the area are fully managed by Blundells and any properties we are looking to buy are carefully vetted by the sales and Lettings team. If an area or locality doesn’t fit with our investment strategy, we get open and honest feedback about it.

Blundells Hillsborough provided an excellent service when selling our terraced house. The initial valuation process and advice was quick and efficient and they worked hard to get viewings. Throughout we were kept well informed and they chased up the purchasers when needed, overseeing visits when required. Although i few members of the Blundell's team were fantastic my overall experience has not been great. The house i bought was falsely advertised; it stated it was 'modernised to a good standard'; Blundell's is welcome over to see that state; this morning i have no heating or water, the electrics are dodgy and doors broken. Even the decorating is shoddy so i don't quite know where they found this 'good standard'.
Communication has been, for the most part, slow at best. I have had to call and email to get any updates; half the time no one could answer my questions.
On one occasion i had a missed call on a Friday; i had had an offer accepted for the house i wanted on the Thursday and was told it would be put 'sold STC' by the following day. When i rang back the man who had called was unavailable but i was assured everything was fine and he would ring me back when he returned to the office. By Monday afternoon i still had had no luck so i rang yet again and was informed a higher offer had been accepted on the Friday! £2500 later i matched the offer and have to house i wanted.
Another occasion my concerns regarding the building survey were dismissed; they tried to assured me the house was fine and the seller had had the roof,electrics and checked; i asked for proof was told there was none; i felt like they were just trying to get the sale.
The wednesday before i moved on the Friday i was informed it may have to be delayed until Moday.
Like i said, two members of the team were great hence the two stars; however i found the whole experience unprofessional and rather stressful.

This year (2016) I decided to put my property up for sale, I did not go to any other estate agent as i knew Blundell's were the one for me, and I can honestly say they did not disappoint.
