About Us
As Oxford’s leading independent estate and letting agents, Breckon & Breckon can trace its roots back to 1947 with a small office in the centre of Oxford. In the same year the Princess Elizabeth married the Duke of Edinburgh at Westminster Abbey in London, Oxfam opened its first shop in Broad Street, Oxford, David Bowie and Elton John were born and the first edition of Gardeners Question Time was aired. Since 2005 we have become one of the most expansive estate agency firms in Oxford growing from two offices to seven and adding specialist divisions such as lettings, land and new homes and asset/block management.
We are now one of the largest independent firms of estate agents in the county. We have the largest network of offices within the Oxford ring road and recently we’ve won several national awards.
We employ a team of just over 50 property professionals who have a combined experience of over 400 years in the property business. We advise over 1,000 home owners every year providing valuation and marketing advice, probate work and development advice. Our lettings team constantly update their clients with changes in legislation and our asset management team oversee in excess of 1000 apartments in Oxford and the surrounding areas.
Our company values remain at the core of our business. We engage with the local communities in which we work, supporting various schools, charities and sporting clubs every year. We attend school fetes with our (famous) coconut shies which get through over 1,000 coconuts every year. We are the only firm in Oxfordshire (that we know of) that has its own in house photography and video team which ensures that our clients’ homes are presented in the best possible way.
We are passionate about what we do and understand that sometimes it is the small things that can make a big difference.
Recently we featured in issue 44 of B4 magazine. Read the article here or watch the full interview with our Letting & Management MD, Greg Barnes below to find out what we’ve been up to lately.
