I used this company for a valuation for probate with it being one of the lower valuations sadly I didn't initially use this company to sell my parents property. I spent two months trying to sell a house that was over valued by someone else, I decided to change sellers when my contract was running out and I met Susanne and Laura. I instantly felt as ease with both, they are friendly and warm and listened to me going on about the trouble I had trying to sell the property. They are both on the ball and Laura was interested in the house and the garden that has always meant so much to my family. At the eleventh hour I had an offer on my property and didn't end up using burchell Edwards. I truly wish they had been my first choice, I wouldn't have wasted two months trying to sell a property that was overpriced.

Within the 3 weeks I was with them they managed to have a sold sticker in their window (when it wasn’t sold), failed to confirm a viewing and managed to remove my property from the website despite it still being in the market. The photographs for the website were also very unprofessional.

Charlie... what can I say other than this woman is incredible. We are first time buyers and did not initially plan to use a mortgage broker but I cannot recommend her enough! She has gone through everything with a fine toothed comb and really explained everything thoroughly, she gives amazing advice. We were so worried in the beginning as many companies use all the formal lingo which as a first time buyer you dont understand what it means or you feel they are all about pushing the sales including our own bank. Not once have we ever felt this way with Charlie and we have called her numerous times for answers to questions and she has gone above and beyond to help us in anyway she can. Please guys go and see Charlie she is honestly fantastic and so professional but supportive!!

I haven’t yet completed the purchase of the property but would just like to comment on the quality and hard work of there mortgage advisor/broker Charlie Howe especially through these hard times. She has done the best job to her potential so far even with the circumstances of working from home, and would recommend her for any property purchases from other people (first time buyers or not) in the on coming future!

Burchell Edwards didn't sell our property, although they were the agents for the property we were purchasing, and they also worked side by side with the solicitor's we used. Charlie managed to sort our mortgage, and I think she earned her wages on this one... it wasn't the simplest of mortgage applications. I cannot express how grateful I am to the staff at Burchell Edwards Hucknall, specifically their mortgage broker.
Everywhere I went, people told me that I couldn’t get a mortgage, except for her. She used her company’s resources to speak to every lender and found me a high street lender who agreed to give me a great rate! I know many other mortgage brokers who spoke to the same lender and they said no – but not her.
It is a long ongoing process with offers being accepted and houses being taken off the market, but through it all she has given me excellent support and I am so glad I chose them to help me become a homeowner. I would recommend Burchell Edwards to anyone, but especially their mortgage broker for excellent mortgage advice who goes beyond every single time.

My eldest son as recently moved into his new house after nearly a year of searching the local area for a property he could comfortably afford.
Myself and my son needed to apply for the mortgage and this created several problems but after speaking to several mortgage advisers we spoke to Charlie at Burchell Edwards who explained all our options clearly and thoroughly. Although the property we eventually bought was not through Burchell Edwards we found everyone in the office to be very supportive and helpful. At one point when progress had appeared to have stalled Charlie liaised with our mortgage lender the vendor and our solicitor to resolve a problem that had threatened to stop the sale to us, her hard work and diligence really paid off for us. Myself and Joshua would have no hesitation in recommending Charlie to anyone requiring mortgage advise.

Our process was not that straight forward due to me being self employed but she was very patient and went above and beyond! When I went to start looking at houses, I used rightmove to find the house for me and, as I'm a newer buyer, I wanted a mortgage broker because I know you can get a better rate with them. Our broker, Charlie, is amazing. She went through what we wanted and was helpful from the start. She discussed the options we had regarding searching, including their help to find a home if the right one wasn't o the market. Between her and Suzanne, we couldn't have asked for better help. When a vendor became unreasonable and their agent was harassing us, Charlie did everything she could to help us and Suzanne, even though the property wasn't with burchell Edwards, helped us. We had to pull out of the home, but we felt confident to do so and now have offered on a much better home. They've helped us at every step.

Hired them to sell our property. I have, asides from Haart, never dealt with such passive incompetent people.
The pictures were appalling, my children could have done a better job, so I took MY OWN PICTURES which eventually they uploaded.
The house, a 3 bedroom house, went on the market as a 2 bedroom house, this went totally un noticed by the Hucknall branch for over a week until I called to enquire on why the property was not online. They blamed the Rightmove website, and corrected it.
We had no viewings, no calls, no suggestions, nothing, first viewing comes along, 5.30pm, viewers arrive in the cold and rain right on time to our house, Suzanne, who was meant to show the viewers around, nowhere to be seen, NOT A CALL TO US OR VIEWERS WAS EVER MADE, I call the office and Suzie sounds ditzy as always and clueless she insinuates that Suzanne forgot about the viewing.
I do the viewing since the viewers were delightful and sadly not their fault about how incompetent these women are. As the viewers are leaving, grateful for being shown around but really annoyed that none showed up, Suzanne arrives to our property 30 minutes late. I told her then and there that she is fired, that the collection of mistakes made by them is laughable but we really need to move asap. Still, 3 working days after I fired them, the sign is still up, the property is still being wrongfully and illegally (as our contract is up) being marketed at the wrong price by them.
In all my years working with people I never met a most vacant, unproductive set as the duo of Suzie and Suzanne, I can only compare them to a leisure knitting group.
If you are serious about selling your property AVOID them they lie through the if teeth, with rather basic stories that they don't even bother to check amongst each other. They never take any responsibility for any wrong doings, (they blamed Rightmove, another viewer, the fog ate their key, etcs) it's like dealing with children.

You can't put an offer in on a property without coming in to see THEIR mortgage advisor first, even though your offer may not be accepted.

Buying my first home through Burchell Edwards - I cannot sing their praises enough. Staff are so friendly and accommodating and cannot do enough for you.
