Choosing an estate agent can be daunting but I was very impressed when Joe Paterson came to see us. Not only was he honest and made suggestions on how to achieve the best price we didn’t feel pressurised in making a decision there and then. Especially so as my Mum is 90. Sam the manager is excellent and between them they soon found a proceedable buyer achieving above the asking price. Connells in Gillingham worked hard to sell my house quickly. However, I was not given good advice on the sale price or selling to someone in a chain. In hindsight the sale price was far too low (less than I paid for it 5 years ago) despite the rapidly rising market. The chain was also too long and weak but I was not made sufficiently aware of the fact. The sale process was incredibly stressful and because it was so slow I lost out on several properties and ended up without anywhere to move to. I now wish I had pulled out and not sold my house.... Connells has been a great service. Not only did they help us sell our home, they helped us buy our dream home too. This was my first time selling a home so I had no clue what I was doing but the Branch Manager Sam was just great and helped explain everything. He was constantly on hand with any question straight away. I personally dont know anyone else with such a high work drive! He worked hard through his day off to get our offer accepted on our dream home. We cannot be more grateful for his efforts. The whole team is fantastic. Joe was great selling our home. Rachel the Connels mortgage broker is super lovely and excellent at finding the best and most suitable deal. She is also very patient answering all of my questions! We are also using the Connells solicitor for both selling and buying. She is also excellent I have asked many questions and all have been answered quickly. I would like to have given Connells a great review, but unfortunately a "minor" detail has spoilt my experience and is yet to be resolved. They are a very proactive agency with friendly staff. They found us a buyer very quickly and the sale went smoothly. However, I am yet to be refunded my "referral fee" for using their recommended solicitors, Shoesmiths. Despite 5 chases now, I await my £210 refund! Shame!!!... Read more
