First of all we would love to say a massive thank you personally to Amanda, she had supported us from the moment she made contact.as fist time buyers it was daunting with the amount of paperwork and emailing to get things in place but she took everything one step at a time and explained in detail.
we was unfortunately recommended a terrible solicitor but she was constantly keeping us updated, working outside of what she needed to do and went above and beyond to make sure all parties in the chain were kept calm and things were progressing.
Amanda and James (agent) managed to get us exchanged in the nick of time with no dramas at all and explained anything we didn't understand when solicitors were unreachable.
not a bad word to say in all and would recommend sticking with these guys to the end as they will look after you.
Thank you so much for everything you guys have done for us!

James Gibbon from the Ongar office was recommended to us by friends who said to us, if anyone can sell your house James can and they were not wrong! We had accepted an offer within 2 weeks, everything about our experience with James was seamless and so easy. After James had done his work he passed our file over to Amanda who was just as brilliant and helpful. She updated us throughout the entire process of our sale and purchase and was a pleasure to deal with. I cannot recommend Durden and Hunt enough, thank you both for everything!

From the first time James arrived to view our property we knew we had chosen the best agent. He personally did the viewings and secured us a buyer in 2 weeks. Brilliant. James Gibbon and Grace Shepherd of Durden & Hunt Ongar were stars! Brilliant all the way were noticeably different to previous agents Balgores Hayes who blamed the market while making us show viewers around enough times to get on our nerves . However James and Grace had bubbly personalities that made them so likeable and were chatty with viewers but also more committed to selling and James generated more viewings in three weeks than Balgores could in a year but not completely attributable to a slight price drop because James had our keys so if he had another house booked for a view, he would drop by ours with them which seemed novel to us so that was once way James attracted footfall: he may have collected one or two by car! Durden & Hunt are absolutely recommended without fault. Oh and James also successfully renegotiated our purchase price. Excellent! James's only fault is supporting West Ham but he's still on our Xmas card list! :)

Sold a property recently in Ongar. The sale went through smoothly. From the photos of the property at the beginning to the very regular updates on the sale I found the service excellent. A shout out to James in sales who was professional, thorough and on the ball throughout which for me was essential and very much appreciated. Would definitely use again

We found Durden & Hunt in Ongar provided us with an all round professional service from beginning to end. We were selling our mother's home so it was a difficult and emotional time for us both. James and Grace treated us with respect and kindness and their communication was exceptional. Having sold the property very quickly, after 15 viewings, Amanda picked up the rains to pull the sale together. We had total confidence in her knowledge and ability which was proven taking only 5 weeks from agreement of sale to exchange of contracts.
