I recently moved in with my husband to a property managed by Ellis & Co. Both agents we worked with, Ross White and Peter Stinson, were an absolute charm and solved all our queries and supported us through the whole process of arranging a viewing, marking an offer, going through the referencing, and managing the paperwork. They're trustworthy and with good intentions. Communication has never been an issue. Not very good or responsive. We rented a property with this estate agents and we had mice is the WHOLE time. The area isn’t nice to live in. We had someone throw a brick through our kitchen window so when it came to renew, of course, we were desperate to leave in which they tried to tell us that’s just what are living in London is like and tried to force us to stay. Really poor experience, staff even argued with us. The next tenant is now paying hundreds extra a month for property which is freezing because of how poorly built and secured it is.

Very poor service. If you're looking to buy, avoid! I enquired about a flat I found the advert online, Ross got in touch with me and we arranged the viewing. He didn't answer all my questions but offered to arrange second viewing with vendors. In the meantime I made an offer. After the meeting with vendors there were still questions to follow up and I received no help nor interest from Ross. He sent me a very generic reply sharing his experience however he then didn't follow up anything! He completely ignored me placing the offer! Never got back to me. It's been more than 2 months. I'm still shocked actually for such a poor customer service hence I hesitated to write the review hoping that I will hear something.

Especially for female Asian foreigners, avoid humiliation and harassment here.
I was very happy I finally found the house I like within my budget, on top of that, I had a day off the next day and I had time to view the house to fulfil my living plan. Ross White was the one who answered the phone, he questioned my financial details, which made me feel uncomfortable to disclose my privacy to a stranger who I had never met before. So I told him I was fixable and I was able to manage it. Unfortunately my answer wasn’t the script he liked to hear. He yelled on the phone with rage “I DON’T WANT SOMEONE WASTE MY TIME TO JUST VIEW THE HOUSE!!”, then he carried on yelling on the phone and repeated the questions “SO, WHAT IS IT!???”. I felt offended and shocked, my heart was plumbing and I was shaking. I felt I got forced to give up my privacy to exchange a chance to view my dream house. After I answered him, he repeated the questions and needed me to answer again. I felt unsafe to disclose my details again in public, but he made me learn that if I didn’t follow his words then I would get shouted at and I wouldn’t get a viewing appointment slot from him. Then Ross said he was arranging the booking on Saturday (which was 5 days later), he would call me and let me know my slot to view the house once he was done. So, after all the hustle, I couldn’t get my viewing on the next day during my day off. I told him I wouldn’t pick up strange numbers and asked him what numbers he would call me, so I won’t miss the call. Ross told me it’s the same 020 numbers I called. I didn’t save the numbers, I needed to beg few times for the complete phone numbers. I requested another agent to deal with me, but Ross said he was the one responsible for the house I like.
The next day he didn’t call me back, so I called Ellis & Co again for the viewing appointment again. Ross said he remembered me, he was still working on his Saturday appointment and would let me know later.
The 1st time I called to arrange my viewing appointment was on Monday, then I called again on Tuesday. Today is Friday and the Saturday viewing appointment is tomorrow, but I still haven’t heard anything. I feel the estate agent decided I don’t deserve to view the house through his power, because I failed to pass the phone interview in an Asian female tone of voice with accent.

We came to Ellis & Co after several fruitless months spent trying to sell our shared ownership property through our housing association. Peter was very helpful right from the start, and had our property listed on their website within a matter of days, including arranging for photos using a futuristic 3D camera model, which is all part of the service. Almost immediately, we had two viewings and expressions of interest, one of which led to an offer and acceptance. Throughout the quite lengthy conveyancing process, Peter and then Ross were supportive and tenacious, assisting wherever they could to drive the process forward and deal with enquiries from our vendor’s representatives. I’ve tried selling my apartment with two large estate agents over a 12 month period, but neither succeeded. Then Ross from the Ellis and Co sold it in 2 weeks! He asked me lots of questions about the property to properly understand what people would be buying, and then targeted it to those who he thought would be interested. My opinion about Peter. He made a professional impression on my viewings. That changed right after moving in. I recall inappropriate and unlawful verbal remarks when no witness is arroubd, inaccurate note taking on inspections or losing notes and photos after. Despite some repairs having happened in a timely manner, other disrepairs which were classed as safety and health risks took 1.5 years to be scheduled. Not overlooking quality of repairs, unless I sent complaints which then resulted in me being labelled as rude, demanding and arrogant (in writing). Peter claims to have 30 years of industry experience. I would agree based on my observation of how he displays his attitude towards tenants versus property owners which pay his cheques, his arrogance and expectations towards obedience. My personal Experience with Peter is one of harassment and discrimination. At this point of time I hold a letter from him that says he will not enter the flat for an inspection or order repairs if I am present in my own flat. He states that he will only speak and meet my male co tenant (joint contract)
My flatmate disclosed that he also finds Peter's verbal and written output and demeanour impossible, but does not dare to disobey out of fear to lose his home. Same applies to a previous flatmate.

We have just left our tenancy after 3 and a half years. Peter and his team were always responsive and we never had any issues. Following handing in our notice, Peter continued to be superb and managed to get us a new washing machine after the one in our flat broke. We had no surprises in our checkout so all in all, a good tenancy which only came to an end due to a change in life circumstances.

We made an offer to rent a house through Peter Stinson and the offer was quickly accepted. Our circumstances were made known to Peter in our first phone call before our original viewing and he was fully aware that none of us were in full-time employment due to COVID-19, though we could provide UK guarantors and various references.
We then went to view the property a second time in preparation of signing the pre-tenancy agreement and paying the holding deposit. The next day, Peter informed us that the landlord essentially did not read our correspondence properly and that the landlord had some further questions which he answered 'to the best of his knowledge' and the outcome of that conversation was that the landlord no longer wished to let the house to us and opted to carry on marketing the property to let.
This wasted around a week of our time during a very sensitive period where we needed to find a new home before our current tenancy contract expired. We then asked Peter about his other properties and he informed us that all other landlords would have the same issues with us that this landlord did - in which case it begs the question: why didn't Peter know this when he was made fully aware of our situation during our first phone call?
Do not waste your time with this letting agency.

Worst Service from Peter. I’ve never experienced such horrible communication from an agent. It started when I wanted to view a property that was advertised by Ellis and co. He explained to me that he couldn’t access the property which I understood but asked if he could book me in for a viewing . I didn’t hear back for about a week and a half. I then got frustrated and called another branch where I was assured that I would be given a call back. When Peter intally called I received a very hostile voicemail but proceeded to book a viewing. When I wanted to put an offer in his college advised that I need to speak to peter as he was unaware about the process. Monday morning I called in keen to put an offer in, I will admit it was below the asking price. I then proceeded to chase Peter about my offer. He said he is dealing with the property and has no answer for me yet as he has not spoken about my offer to the landlord, and I should stop calling for updates. After a week of waiting I finally emailed him
Where his response was that there was multiple offers and the landlord decided to go with another one. Not once did he call me for an increase or update me on the status. He also did not make me aware of exactly how many offers there were until I emailed. Lack of communication and a lot of unprofessional behaviour, I would avoid this agent completely.

It’s been about 1 year since I entered the property and they did not fix the radiator in the toilet and they ignored us completely and this is absolutely unprofessional ,and when it comes to my room there was no heating at all the full winter season and this winter was one of the hardest and coldest winters in UK , I spoke to them and they treated me unprofessionally , I’m really disappointed that how come a big and well known company behaving like this with its customers and I had found out that they are franchise therefore DON’T TRUST THIS COMPANY GUYS

This is the worst agency ever , we moved here back in September and didn’t realise how bad the conditions are. The flooring is terrible and we can here every footsteps which are extremely loud from upstairs and it wakes us up every night. The condition are terrible and there was asbestos in the Heating. We complained many times to the agency but they hardly responded or were helpful. I guess because they got their money. Would not recommend them ever.

Meeting various agents in the local area when deciding to sell our property was an interesting experience. Many came in with a sense of arrogance attempting to seduce us with bold statements.
Our initial meeting with Ross White from Ellis &Co was the first time that an agent spoke to us in a genuine and authentic way, whilst providing a realistic valuation. This grounded and honest approach was important to us and although other agents had valued our property higher, we felt very safe in Ross' capable hands and there was no question as to who would be getting the instruction.
Ross found our first buyer extremely quickly, and when they chose not to progress with the purchase, Ross had found another buyer even quicker! Throughout the whole process Ross has been friendly, professional and reliable. Selling a property can be stressful at times and it's very reassuring to know that when you call, Ross picks up. When you email, he responds.
If you're reading this review prior to having valuations carried out, trying to decide which agents to call, please ensure that you call Ellis & Co and speak to Ross. You need to think carefully about who you would like to be dealing with day in/day out, and not just accept the agent that promises you the world and will most likely fail to deliver.

From start to finish Ross White provided an excellent service in selling our flat. He built a good relationship with the departing tenants to ensure access, he gave sensible and realistic advice on negotiations and kept us fully informed at all times. Full marks for effort, communication and price.

The level of service and care I have received from Ellis and Co, and Peter Stinson their Principle, has been nothing short of exemplary. I have been very happy with everything from the initial visits to the suggested properties, to the assistance needed during my time with them, all the way through to the final dealings at the end of my tenancy. Their response time for problems was excellent, in many cases the issue was resolved the same day, any issues which needed landlord input were met quickly and efficiently, and all in all I am sad to leave their remit. If we move back into the area we will definitely and exclusively use their services again. Truly the best estate agents I have ever come across and if I would have no hesitation in recommending them to friends and family. The level of professionalism I have encountered was exceedingly high it is true, however it was always backed up with a friendly and reassuring demeanour from everyone I had dealings with, be it by email, on the phone or in person. I honestly cannot praise them enough and wish them all success in the future.

When looking for a flat, I had stopped by several letting agents and I had also received phone calls and e-mails. Luckily, I dropped by Ellis and Co after seeing an apartment listed in their window. Throughout the process, Ross White was informative, humorous and accommodating. He was especially helpful in explaining all the parts of the contract and the banking requirements, which were very different from other places where I have lived. Ross had tremendous persistence and patience when I was dealing with complicated banking procedures until the transactions went through. I highly recommend using Ross for your next property search.

From the very first phone call with Ross White, I felt like I was in very capable hands. He secured me a buyer at the price I wanted, and saw me through the whole process right to the very end. He had to deal with my tricky tenants who made it difficult for him to show the flat and took it all in his stride. Liars! After a few years I'm still waiting for my £150 that I was robbed off by Mr Peter after moving out of a rented flat in Dollis Hill. I own a property now, but I would never rent or buy anything through Ellis after the previous experiences.

Ross and his team went Above and Beyond when ever called upon.
Due to on going troubles selling my property (not Ellis and Co’s fault) Ross helped me through every time. I had some issues and due to being away from the property at the time, Ross or his team would go to the property and help solve them. In Ross’ words this help was “All part of the services”. I strongly disagree and think its beyond that, this was not part of a sale, and completely unexpected.
Ross and his team had fantastic communication with me and I was informed via email or a personal call at every step of the way. I could not fault the team in any way and would recommend them to anyone.

Never experienced more rude estate agent manager than Mr Peter. I was a tenant for 5 years on Deacon Road and all was fine until I said I was moving out. Lots of troubles. I own a house now, but I strongly advise any tenants to avoid this dodgy agent. It all looks good on the pictures of only!

I have used Ellis and Co in Willesden Green for the past 6 years and I would highly recommend their services. They provide fantastic service for the tennants and landlords in Willesden Green area. I have used them in 2 different properties and on both occasions they were very professional.They have made the whole process very easy,starting with finding the right property,getting paperwork done and providing excellent maintenance service throughout the tenancy.

Ross and the sales managers at Ellis and Co were excellent in updating us after each viewing when our property was up for sale. When they found a buyer they kept us informed throughout the sale in a swift and cooperative manner. They contacted the buyer and their solicitor to push things along regularly and we're always professional and courteous the whole time.
Our house had been up for sale with 2 other estate agents in the Willesden Green area before and we went to Ellis & Co and they found us a buyer within weeks and kept us updated throughout the conveyancing process. I would strongly recommended Ross and Ellis and Co to sell your property.

As first time buyers we went into the process of purchasing our first home with great trepidation. Talks with friends quickly turned to house-buying-horror-story competitions and the property newspapers pounded us with stressful reports.
Luckily, the property we fell in love with was being marketed by Ellis & Co, and the sale managed by Ross White. From the very first call to Ross I felt like we were dealing with a professional, experienced and sincere individual. He was pleasant and extremely efficient helping us to navigate the journey to the point of completion this week. The whole sale was speedy but not too fast to feel rushed and we felt often that things were so smooth something must be amiss. I would highly recommend Ross and his agency to all my friends and family. Ross White at Ellis & Co in Willesden provided an outstanding service at a competitive price, selling our property at over 98% of the asking price. We have tried before to sell our flat using other estate agents who lost interest when the property did not sell easily in the first month. Despite a couple of offers made in the first few weeks falling through, Ross maintained his interest and commitment to selling our property, arranging open house viewings on Saturdays. Ross kept us informed with regular e-mails and phone calls, and was always easy to contact and talk to. Coming to exchange of contracts, Ross continued to work on our behalf, speaking to solicitors and estate agents up and down the chain. We always felt Ross was fighting our corner and have recommended him to all our neighbours.

Fantastic people and fantastic service. My girlfriend and I used Ellis and Co to rent a flat in Willesden Green. They also managed it.
It is a small outfit run by a husband and wife team who get involved in everything. They are also very straight talking so when you rent from them you know what the deal is. I.e. you get an inventory and check in report on the state of the flat when you move in, saves a lot of time and hassle.
If we had a problem we knew who to contact and it was the same person we spoke to all the time so we didn't have to constantly explain the same problem a hundred times over.
Unfortunately not with them anymore as the landlord wanted his flat back. Found a place with a large chain of estate agents up the road who are quite honestly appalling i.e. it has been a month after we moved in and we still don't have a signed copy of the contract, they didnt organise for an inventory to be done etc.
Ellis and Co. in Willesden Green have shown us what good agents / management agents do and we miss them. They explain things clearly and react quickly to queries. It was a pleasure to rent through them.
