We have used an alternative agent ... who have been terrible .. to sell our property and I now wish we had used Martin and the team at Entwistle Green. From start to finish they have been great, so attentive and helpful and have always tried to accommodate any viewings of the property when needed. I previously reviewed Entwistle Green Fulwood about my experience of being mis led and encouraged to go down the Modern Method of Auction route. However, I feel a responsibility to further advise potential customers of my full experience. When we signed up with Entwistle Green Fulwood, we paid for an EPC. After our appalling experience (it appears as though my previous review has been replaced by this one), we decided to use another agent. So, 12 weeks after paying for the EPC, I contacted Entwistle to ask why the EPC hadn't been completed as we needed it for our new agent. I was advised there was no record of the payment. After showing proof of payment, I was advised that someone would be in touch within 48 hours. Five days later, still no contact, so I asked for a refund. Refund given but no explanation or apology. It is quite worrying that they cannot perform this most basic task given that it took me 5 minutes to arrange an EPC with a private supplier who was considerably cheaper. If you are visited by one of their agents with a double barrelled surname who looks like a second-hand car salesman, please don't fall for the following lines such as "we work for the seller, auctions are much quicker, you will get a much higher price, all bidders are vetted prior to submitting a bid" as this is total and utter rubbish. The day the auction ended we reluctantly accepted a lower bid because we were utterly defeated by the process but after waiting for five days for the bidder to pay their fee it turned out they didn't have the funds in place despite the fact that all bidders are supposed to be financially qualified in order to bid. Avoid the Modern Method of Auction at all costs. If you want a decent, reliable agent, I strongly suggest you go with Dewhurst Fulwood. Our experience has been very positive. We put our house up for sale on 21 December so couldn't have any viewings until after the Christmas period, but within 2 weeks of viewings commencing, we had 7 offers out of just 9 viewings. We have accepted an offer. Sandip is a delight. He is honest and reliable. And guess what? The team actually answer the phone! Other members of staff we have dealt with include Lauren, Marcus, Heidi and Millie and all have been friendly and professional, which is the exact opposite to our experience of the Entwistle team who lack enthusiasm, don't communicate and work for their own gain rather than either the buyer or seller. My advice. Stay well away from Entwistle Green. There are much better agents within walking distance. Based on Entwistle Greens advice we have lost thousands. We were selling our family home to move into a property we had previously rented out. We gave our tenants notice and budgeted for 3 months of paying 2 morgages and Council tax. However, because we had to list with a new agent it is likely going to take 8 months in total rather than the promised three months. Therefore, we have had to pay multiple mortgages and Council tax and the market has continued to decline meaning we accepted a lower amount than we anticipated. And Entwistle Green Fulwood get away with this with absolutely no liability at all. I wish I could give negative stars! Oh and within seconds of posting a review you get a response from "Lucy" in customer services who takes all reviews seriously. Funny how no one has ever been in touch.... Read more
