Agency managed by people who don't care.
Being in a flat managed by Foxtons Hampsted and paid almost 15k for 6 months rent and:
-The toilet seat is still broken
-The toilet flush is broken
-New silicone has been put on top of MOULDY silicone
-Water comes out the shower as the door is broken
-Tyles broken in many places
-WINDOWS DON'T STAY OPEN!
Worse than all, we are being misled as we pick a flat for the private garden but it turn out to be communal!
Most of the agents ignore phone calls or emails.
No one ever showed at the flat.
One of the property manager suggested to us to ask for compensation for the misleading.
We paid almost 15k -fifteen thousand- and they offer 250 pound.
Most of agents are rude and not very professionals.
Still have no news about the time of when the flat will be repaired.
Suggestion to everyone: think twice before dealing with this agency.

About 10 years ago Foxtons were horrible estate agents, I thought they'd turn themselves around and care about their reputation.
However I just seen a horrible experience where somebody couldn't park their car club vehicle in a bay and had massive hassle having to find another one because each car club car fits in its correct bay.
A horrible young skinny blondish man with so much entitlement just decided to park there. So clear he has no thought for others!
Their mini cars may look cool, but this one with registration starting LS23 SXZ just shows that not all of the company has changed.

The agent suggested we sign without a viewing and leased us a property directly adjacent to a renovation site. Extremely loud pneumatic drilling ran from 8am-4pm every day. The agent claimed not to have been aware, which is odd because the drilling is clearly audible from their office, just down the street. The agent later said she was aware of it but told us “it isn’t that bad”. Not helped by the paper thin windows. The apartment also had a mildewy smell. Agent avoided speaking to us after we signed the lease.

Awful experience. Kate in Hampstead office failed to mention the temporary flat we were moving in to, site unseen, has construction literally across the street. I let her know I was nervous about paying and signing the contract without viewing the place. She had the opportunity to be upfront and she didn’t. We also didn’t get a 2nd set of keys and weren’t told general information about a new place when moving in. So disappointed. I will never use this letting agency. They just want your money.

I am the person who failed to rent at the Hampstead branch and sees financial and mental damage. Know that you may be. It would be a happy ending if it goes smoothly, but when it goes awry, they turn a blind eye to you. That's the rule of Foxtons. They can't do anything for you, even if you're threatened with a lawyer's letter.

This was by far the best experience we have had with an estate agent having been involved in multiple property purchases previously, and buying our first property in London.
Being relatively new to the area, the fact that Mars took the time to show us around the area, highlighting key places and showing us multiple properties within our range and criteria was greatly appreciated. In fact I would go as far to say the service that Mars had provided made us want to actively purchase a property through him.
When the first property we had an offer on (also through Mars) did not get accepted, Mars kept us in mind following this and got in touch with us as soon as he was aware of the property we ended up purchasing being brought to the market. He really understood what we were wanting, and we put an offer on this property the day we viewed it.

Fantastic experience from start to finish — Yunus supported us through the process and made what is normally a stressful experience very seamless. Especially since we did it all from Australia with different time zones. We were able to easily organise due to the systems Foxtons has in place. On this occasion, due to Covid, Foxtons weren’t able to find us a new home. However, our whole experience with them, and Mars in particular, couldn’t have been more positive.
Very quickly, Mars understood what we were looking for in our search which meant we didn’t waste any time in seeing properties that weren’t suitable. His personal approach to our search was greatly appreciated as first time (and somewhat nervous/inexperienced!) buyers.He quickly put us at ease, explaining how the process would work and genuinely listened to what we were saying, rather than just hearing us. Even since putting our search on halt, Mars has checked in with us a few times to check on my partner’s health after a bout of Covid put a stop to our search.

Sophie Meller was extremely helpful during my prolonged search for two properties for my two sons. She is actually exactly what an estate agent should be...but so rarely is. If you ask Sophie to find you say, a two bed, two bathroom, garden flat, for max £950k, then she will send you options that clearly meet that brief. My experience with other agents is that they think that you don't know your own requirements and may suddenly and unexpectedly decide to buy a 5 bed detached at £6 million! With other agents my inbox is annoyingly filled with anything that happens to come on the market. The upshot is that your own time investment, sifting through them is very great. Sophie does that for you. If you get an email from her, open it! It will be relevant to your search. Equally, she was super accommodating with times and dates for viewings. On our viewing she mentioned another possible that she thought we might like to see, and then produced the keys (thoughtfully brought with her just in case) Now I know a cynical person could say that thats all for her own benefit to increase her chances of making a sale, but trust me, its a two way street. To have someone line up properties that match and to only hear from her when she does, is refreshing and estate agency at its best! Thank you Sophie!

I have had experience of Foxtons on both the sales and lettings side. I recently used them to sell a property in Belsize Park, London NW3. The service provided by Ben and his team was absolutely amazing. Sophie has been such a pleasure to work with in regards to my property search and I can't recommend her enough! I've had a really difficult time with trying to find the right property but Sophie was always so attentive to what we want, taking into account every little thing we said/want in a property - and everything she's suggested was carefully thought about with our needs in mind. From my experience with other agents, this isn't always the case unfortunately, so it's such a breath of fresh air to work with someone like this. She has set such a high standard for me now in terms of how an agent should work and she is honestly such an asset to the Foxton's team!

They list properties that they're doing deals for separately, had two different deals fall through despite being in constant contact with some of their agents. The staff do not communicate to each other so even if you think you've got a property, another agent may have sold it to try get commission. They work with the landlords not the renters, use different estate agent, Foxtons will only cause you pain.

James Greunshaw and Marjan Shalbaf are completely incompetent, unprofessional and dishonest. Foxtons let and managed the property I was moving into. Marjan and James handled the move and contract.They did no work to ensure the rental property was cleaned and cleared for my move in. Bare in mind this is a pandemic. The place was filthy (hair, dust, dirt, trash) and I have pictures and video evidence. My moving vans, baby and husband were all made to wait as the two made no efforts to do the right thing and get the junk removed and property cleaned in timely manner. They blamed the cleaning company for not cleaning but wouldn’t call an alternative alternative cleaning company to get the work done the same day. They said they were calling the cleaners but this morning I was contacted by the cleaners who said the first they heard of this was that morning. I had to remove previous tenants property myself as the office dragged their feet. I was handed a set of keys that did not work. The next day I discovered the fridge and freezer don’t work upon moving in now and my groceries are ruined. James and Marjan do not care. Marjan even has a smirk on her face and the cheek to say it’s clean enough. I now see that the inventory report was forged as the pictures do not match the images I took 30 min after inventory left. It’s just unthinkable the level of incompetence and lies. I can’t imagine why any professional from an agency that is as known as Foxtons would think it’s ok to subject a couple and their new baby to this in a pandemic. Sadly the saga continues and we will be seeking legal action.

Property prior to move in. Property was not clean for move in - dust, dirt hair and junk everywhere. During Covid previous tenants possibly infected belongings strewn throughout flat. Had her movers waiting to move things in yet James refused to call emergency cleaners. Marja had the cheek to say the property looked clean enough to her. Forced to move into previous tenants filth and belongings with a baby during a pandemic. Next day I discover that the fridge and freezer don’t work and all my shopping is ruined. On top of that my husband was handed the wrong set of keys. The inventory report was forged as we took pictures and videos the same day following the report which show all the previous tenants belongings - these don’t show up on the report which clearly has pictures taken another date- perhaps the previous tenancy. All in all a complete scam. Avoid avoid. We are now in the process of legal proceedings against them for complete negligence.

Flat hunting in London can be extremely stressful, tiring and frustrating. Some agents don't seem to care about the clients and their needs. This was not the case with Kate, she is probably the most diligent, sincere and caring agent that we have been dealing with. She made our experience extremely pleasant and stress free. He was patient and always tried to see things from the point of view of the client. His curated selection of properties was invariably perfect and painstakingly put together. He came across as someone whose job meant more to him than just securing a deal and he was always pleasant, courteous, patient and efficient. Whenever we next look for a property, we will definitely approach Rezz for help and we will be recommending him to friends as well.

The agents are there for you when you need to find a rental flat. however, if you are the tenant of a rental flat, then you are not their priority. I let two properties from them and in each instance less than 24h notice was given to show the flat, with requests from after hours. In one instance one agent actually left the front door wide open which I discovered when I returned home. They are eager to make the money from the let, but not actually take care of the property or the tenants in the properties they let.

Rezz was beyond helpful in my entire experience of looking for a flat. He was thorough and attentive to some specific requirements I delineated during the process, and I am happy to say I definitely ended up with my dream flat. I had a stupendous experience with Foxtons Hampstead.
I was getting 30 calls per day from different letting agents, but Nutan Joshi reached out from Foxtons Hampstead with asking me a kind of houses and area I was interested and after then came back to me with a very confined list of places I would be interested in.
We booked a time to view all 4 houses in a pretty much hour's time which was great as I didn't have come back again and again with different timings and appointments.
I was quite impressed with Nutan Joshi the fact all the houses on the list were picked with a very thoughtful mind and were considered with all the facts I had stated before.
From viewing to handing over the keys was a very smooth process and all went very nicely.
I'm very glad I dealt with Nutan (Hamstead Foxtons) and I absolutely love my place.

Poor flat rental in Hampstead - FOXTON = FOXCON, pushy sales and then when your letting the place they are knowhere to be seen. Too add to insult they charge a heavy "check-out" fee - be warned for added costs!!

The agent at Foxtons was very helpful, polite and took time to understand my specific needs. He was immaculately turned out and punctual at all times, he kept in regular contact with me and offered me a broad range of options, which we visited personally when I could and I was provided with internet information too. The agent went out of his way to do all he could, even arranging a viewing outside of office hours on a Friday evening, when most people finish early! I was referred to the branch at West Hampstead too,for a couple of properties handled by their office. All of the Foxtons staff I encountered were professional, courteous and very helpful, in my experience. I highly recommend Foxtons Hampstead unreservedly.
