This is my first time working with Foxtons. From beginning to end (nearly) they have been so helpful. Antony jumped straight on the phone with us chatted about what we wanted, who we were, really cared from the beginning. Instantly asked to make a group chat with me and my partner so that we could figure it all out together. We sent one over we saw on foxtons and immediately he said let’s go and see. This flat however didn’t fit what we were looking for. The next morning bright and early he messaged us saying a new listing has come up. We got a viewing within the hour with the help of the lovely tenants. He sent me over the form to fill out so that it would be ready to send if this was something I wanted to proceed with. So happily it was and within the hour his manager called me to confirm a few things. Another hour passed and we had everything to fill out. Antony helped us get a flat within a few days. If you’ve rented in the London market you know how impossible that is. I would say there was a bit of luck behind it as well but truly I have never worked with someone who cared so much about being proactive. Foxtons is great even when Antony was off I called the office, (happened to call the wrong location) but they still offered me great advice and were willing to.

I have had one of the worst experiences with this estate agency. I place an offer on a property, once it got accepted they made me do referencing 3 times. After I was approved I signed and paid my deposit as well as a guarantor service, they told me that I may not be able to move into that property. I have started packing all my stuff to relocate and now I may not even have somewhere to go to. This is so unprofessional and have never experienced anything like this before. The only one helping me through this whole process and trying to resolve this issue is a lovely lady from the Wembley office named Luna. Without her we wouldn’t know what to do.<br><br>I can’t begin to express how unprofessional and difficult of a position they have put me in.

After braving the London rental market for years I have never come across such a diligent and communicative realtor. As a landlord, my experience with Foxtons has been extremely disappointing.<br>Following the changes to tenancy rules, tenants can now end a tenancy by giving two months’ notice. Foxtons charged me a full 12 months’ rental commission upfront and now has refused to refund the commission for the period after my tenant exercises their right under the new law and leaves.<br>Over the past two weeks, I have contacted several other well-known London letting agencies, including Dexters and Johns & Co. All of them confirmed that they charge landlords their rental commission on a monthly basis, so when a tenancy ends, landlords are not paying commission for months when there is no tenant. To the best of my knowledge, I am not aware of any other major agency that still expects landlords to pay a full year’s commission in these circumstances.<br>I find this approach completely unfair and out of step with the current rental market. Rather than adapting to the new tenancy legislation, Foxtons appears to be protecting its own revenue at the expense of landlords.<br>I will be escalating this matter to the Property Ombudsman and would strongly encourage any landlord considering Foxtons to carefully review their commission terms before signing anything. There are many reputable agencies that have already adopted fairer monthly commission models that reflect the new legal framework.<br>Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Foxtons to other landlords.

Sam helped me find my dream apartment- almost an impossible task with really high asks. Couldn’t have asked for a more helpful, friendly or engaged person to help me. Can’t recommend Sam or Foxtons more highly!
