When I met Adam O’Leary, I was more interested in letting out our flat again because our current sales agents both wanted me to drop the asking price by more than 15% “due to market conditions”. I was told the market might recover within 2 years! So it was just hoping for good tenants.
Adam was sure he could help sell it and practically begged me to let him show the flat to some of his buyers. His earnestness convinced me, we listed with Foxtons at the original asking price and before it even appeared online we had our first offers. Within a week we had a cash buyer at asking price and a day or two later a second offer that well exceeded it. Just phenomenal work.
While getting and accepting the offer was lightning quick, the conveyancing process was anything but. However, Adam and Ryan were brilliant and professional throughout - very communicative, very patient with my often exasperated tone, explaining very clearly what the hold ups were and what we could do to help move the sale along. When we finally completed we got together for a drink to celebrate. Thanks again Adam! I’ll recommend you to everyone and will be back when I’m looking to buy again.

Abhorrent experience - avoid renting with them at all costs. The contract is literally worthless as a tenant, landlord is allowed to flout this with no consequences. We've since taken a property with another agent and it was seamless. No property is worth the unnecessary stress Foxtons caused, and continues to cause us after moving out.
We arrived to a filthy property (the inventory specified 'professionally cleaned' despite showing images containing extensive mess, including a pile of dirt) and no heating in the bedroom. How can you omit lack of heating from the information when marketing the property? Our 'property manager' didn't answer then mysteriously left the next day.
We were then passed from employee to employee and no one would respond to our queries. This went on for weeks. We only got a response when cc'ing senior management at Foxtons (would recommend).
In one of my many visits to the branch trying to get answers, an employee said "I'm sorry - I feel you've been sold a dream". Very peculiar choice of words from the agent doing the selling....
Throughout the tenancy we were left without hot water for 2.5 weeks - which is both illegal and against contract. Alex Fleet ignored correspondence on this for 5 weeks and then informed us they couldn't investigate.
The landlord has then proceeded to withhold the entire deposit indefinitely as he is out of the country (despite having access to extensive check-in and check-out inventory reports). Another law and contract violation that Alex Fleet said nothing could be done about.
We paid our deposit up front, we never missed a days rent and we had 0 complaints.
We were made to feel like a nuisance for requesting a clean property on arrival, heating in the bedroom, hot water and then our deposit back....

BEWARE expats, you’ll be led through a web of deception & fallacy with these guys. All they care about is closing deals, they push you to pay rather aggressively, emailing, calling & whatsapp’ing you. Then have absolutely no regard for your well-being if the rental ‘falls-through’ 2 days before your move-in date. No explanation of what happened & you’ll have to push to get your refund. Such an exhausting process.

Jamal at Camden is very proactive and efficient. Some room for improvement on the back-end, with potential for the various teams to coordinate better amongst themselves (we had some confusion around booking of a couple of services). But this was not a show-stopper and overall I'd recommend their service.

Absolutely horrible experience.The contract doesn’t have standard terms like a break clause so now I am stuck in a tenancy with no flexibility. The agent basically pushed us along and created a ‘scarcity mentality’ and told us ‘we are being too picky’ I would definitely advise you to keep as far away from this agency as possible.

By far the worst experience with any estate agent I have ever had. When the short term tenancy is over they sent repeated lies about sending the full deposit back. On 3 occasions they said it was sent but they had not sent it. Left a review on trust pilot and they said they would get back to me but they haven't. Emailed and called countless times. Moved out August 18th and still no sign of a deposit return.
If you rent from Foxtons just consider your deposit part of the rent because you will not see it again.
Look into my rental case for SW112LT if you are reading this Foxtons.

I previously had a horrible experience with a agency, bad ethic and ingenious.
I got InTouch with Foxton, Stratford, with fresh trauma from the previous. Mushtaq and Saad where fantastic from the get go. referred to a mortgage advises, Ashton.
They are all genuine, intentional and very consistent. I was able to secure a property within two week, there was no back and forth, deal was sealed. Happy that our part crossed, just what I needed. I hope you read this review. Thank you guys.
