I began the process of purchasing a flat in May, and while the exchange has just started, the completion date is planned for early November.
From the start, Sales Consultant Nikita Gusca was excellent. He led the tour, answered all my questions in great detail, and efficiently passed along inquiries to the seller, which gave me confidence in the purchase. Nikita also provided valuable support in clarifying my mortgage application during the initial stages, and his prompt responses were much appreciated.
I encountered significant delays due to poor communication from the solicitor Taylor Rose. After submitting all my documents and confirming that everything was in order, it took nearly two months for them to proceed with the exchange. When my solicitor went on emergency leave, there was minimal coverage, leading to delayed communication with the seller's solicitor, who was also from Taylor Rose. My Move Manager, Luca Beltrami, had to step in to help check with the seller and chase for responses. Just before the exchange, the final report was sent a week late and contained discrepancies. Luca again assisted in confirming with the seller that these were indeed mistakes. The solicitor attributed the issues to being "rushed," despite having had ample time to address them.
Throughout these challenges, Move Manager Luca Beltrami and Senior Sales Manager Abraham Oommen provided invaluable support. They worked diligently to check on the seller’s progress, chased updates, and helped raised complaints to senior solictors on my behalf to resolve the delays. This was beyond their normal responsibilities, and I can't thank them enough for their assistance.
Overall, I’m incredibly grateful to Nikita, Luca, and Abraham for their efforts. Gibbs Gillespie has been fantastic, going above and beyond to support me throughout this process. It’s important to note that the charllenges I had were not a reflection of the hard work and dedication shown by these individuals; they did everything possible to assist me. However, I strongly recommend finding your own solicitor rather than using Taylor Rose, which was referred to me by Gibbs Gillespie.

The agency is selling the NDO option to landords and forcing tenants to accept it. It means that you as a tenant are covering an expense that should be covered by the landlord . If you are paying a deposit, you get the depostit back at the end of the tenancy. This does not happen with NDO option. You have thrown away about £1500 over a two year rental agreement.
Its deceptive and unethical way of operating.
Update. I have spoken to the agency and it appears that the landlord misunderstood the options. Happy with agencys response and their dealing with the issue. (My problem is the concept of the NDO option)

Gibbs Gillespie were outstanding at marketing and completing the sale of my late Mum’s house. Leah, at the Ealing Broadway office, is clearly a very skilled and experienced manager and has a reassuringly detailed and extensive knowledge of the local housing market. A buyer for the house was found very quickly, and when, a few weeks later, the process started moving a little too slowly, we were very impressed by Leah’s responsiveness to our concerns. Her swift and decisive action meant, within hours, she was able to get the process moving again. However, aside from her obvious efficiency, she is also very approachable and empathetic and was greatly understanding of the fact that we were selling a much loved family home.
In all, Leah and the team were competent, efficient, great at explaining the procedure with clarity and reassuring when it mattered. They were also nearly always available when I tried to make contact. It has been a pleasure to work with them and we wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

We recently sold our property with the help of GG , Ealing Broadway and i can’t recommend them highly enough. If you’re looking to sell your property in Ealing, the team at GG should be your go to.
We asked 3 local estate agents around to provide a valuation etc. and so that we could understand a bit more about the service on offer. Leah, sat down with us to understand our priorities, timeframes etc and then followed up with a valuation. The process wasnt rushed - compared to other estate agents who spent 5 mins in the property before providing a quick valuation and throwing paperwork at us. GG felt far more professional.
Within a couple of weeks of instructing, GG had pulled together the brochure, taken the photos (In my opinion using a superior provider for the photos compared to other agents), and had started to arrange viewings from the existing client base.
We received plenty of notice for viewings, and really appreciated the detailed feedback from each one from both Rohan and Luke.
Offer to exchange, was managed excellently by all of the above and Irene - despite some holdups, outside of GG’s control, we were kept in the loop at all time.

On the surface, selling my apartment in Ealing should have been simple and straightforward, but it was anything but!
In all, it took 15 months to bring to a favourable conclusion, and might have fallen over at a few obstacles, but for the timely and professional intervention of Leah Verasammy, Gibbs Gillespie, Ealing Office.
From the time I communicated to GG (who were acting as my letting agent) that I wished to sell up my property, Leah was by my side, laying out the likely progression, timely communication of emerging issues, and suggested solutions. One particularly critical intervention, very late in the process, probably made the difference between a successful outcome, or a reboot of the whole sale process.
Very pleased with the relationship she built with me - I think she was as pleased with the completion of the sale as I was!!
In addition, Gibbs Gillespie (previously Northfields) had been my letting agents since 2000, and my lettings were, for the most part, well managed - even through the complications caused by Covid! With the sale, my relationship with them was drawn to a close, with all the associated loose ends to be tied up. The engagement with Mariya Filipova in these final weeks was excellent, all outstanding issues sorted to my satisfaction - she really seemed to know how to work swift solutions within the company. Rating 10/10!!

Don’t really appreciate having to chase the estate agency and resending the same email three times and still not getting a response regarding a flat I had viewed. Seems like they already received an offer and instead couldn’t be bothered to let us know until we had to actually call them after 3 emails. Then to be told ‘the landlord is going to let us know in an hour’ and then we will call you. Better communication needed like simple things ‘offer form received thank you, we will let you know the decision’ would take seconds from the lettings team but clearly not bothered. In the midst of a rental crisis, when you can see a potential tenant is extremely excited, it’s a lovely idea to keep them updated in order for us to keep browsing rather than having false hope.

I rarely write reviews. This is one of those time when I feel that I must write a review. Recently, we moved from Houston to London. Prior to our move, we contacted Victoria Chmura to understand local rental market, options available etc. Victoria was very helpful she went to an apartment did a video call to show the property while we were in Houston. She kept sharing information but nothing could be finalized as we were not able to see the property in-person. Day we arrived in London, she showed us a nice fully furnished property in Ealing which we liked instantly. She expedite process, got all paperwork done in just a week and then we moved in the property in less than 10 days upon arrival. Not only in moving into apartment, she also helped in setting utilities, providing paperwork for bank account opening. Today if we feel settled in London so quickly, full credit goes to Victoria.

The nightmare memories of dealing with Thorgills (now Gibbs Gillespie) came flooding back after arranging a viewing for a property with them.
Two years ago, I had an awful experience with Thorgills in Brentford after they left furniture in a flat I took on an unfurnished basis which I only found out on move-in day (which was a Sunday and they were closed so I had to postpone my move).
This latest episode was consistent with their poor performance and service. I arranged to view a flat in Ealing. Unlike other agents, no call or message to communicate where exactly to meet or where the correct entrance is. Five other people viewing the small flat at the same time in addition to the tenants being there. We have pet allergies and asked if the cat can be moved so we can see the rest of the flat to which the agent replied "I can't". So we ended up having to leave without seeing the flat. No follow-up message, no anything. A classic Gibbs Gillespie experience. Unless you're about to be homeless I would definitely avoid dealing with them.

I am so grateful for the support and expertise of Leah, Luke, Rohan and Claire. Leah worked tirelessly with every hurdle that we came across (of which there were many - as is the current market!), communicating clearly, always only a call away and a calm and reassuring voice of reason. A true problem solver, she puts into motion what is needed in a timely manner. She really went above and beyond for us. Similarly, Luke was effective, reliable and very professional. I recall several phone calls from him on a bank holiday weekend where he went the extra mile (as most wouldn't) and got us to where we needed to be. He guided us when to take our time and when to work quickly as needed. Selling a property can be really really stressful with a lot of uncertainty and you need to have a team you can trust - I feel very grateful to have have such a support. The flat was not registered correctly with the Council and as a result my credit score went downhill. I couldn't put my address down in any websites for deliveries or sign ups as it wasn't available due to the above. Instead of the landlord/agent doing something about it I had to chase around the responsibles for about 2 months so the address would be valid after 3 months from when I moved in.
Since there was no address, no broadband company would setup any kind of broadband and I had to use my mobile data.
There was no infrastructure for TV or doorbell to the flat. They had some fake placeholders and they kept telling me they would install those for the whole duration of my tenancy. They never did.
I couldn't access the electricity meters to my own flat due to the way they installed those and I wasn't allowed to move them inside the flat.
They lied and they ignored emails throughout the tenancy.
Finally when I left (break clause ftw) they ignored my emails and the TDS's emails, so I had to pay to validate forms to allow the TDS to forcefully return the deposit to me, after 3 months!
Cherry on top, they emailed me a month after my deposit was returned saying my contract would now go on a month to month basis. I had left the premises 4 months ago. Very professional bunch of people. Try to avoid if you can!

She was absolutely lovely, welcoming, enthusiastic and instantly made us feel comfortable and left us with a very positive impression of the company. Our estate agent, Amir, has been absolutely outstanding from the very beginning. He personally saw the process through until the very end despite the fact that his job role had changed. He was extremely positive and professional and went out of his way to help both us and the seller of the property. Amir spent a huge amount of time and took a great deal of care trying to ensure the sale went smoothly, often working late and giving us much needed reassurance, expertise, support and laughs along the way. Our transaction was not as straightforward as we expected, and I can safely say we would not have been able to complete without him! Procedures and things to do before and after the move were clear. They draft the contract and added all the items as requested. Love the experience with them. Alejandro is really engaging, genuinely listens and advised us so superbly on the valuation and how to market our flat, without which, I don't think we would have had the success we did. The process was super quick from registering our property to many viewings (importantly most were undertaken by Alejandro or his collegue who we also met beforehand and also quickly liked) and we found a buyer much quicker than expected. All in all, it was less than 3 months from market to completion. What more could you ask for ! Couldn't have asked for more.

AVOID BY ALL MEANS After finding a flat matching my requirements, I gave Northfields a call to arrange a viewing. I was asked many personal questions, clearly irrelevant to the property I was trying to see, had to explain in details why I wanted to move out from my current flat, discuss my work position ,travel distance and means of communication to get there etc. I was even told that without giving my full address, postcode, email address and telephone number I would not be able to book any viewing. I put up with all of that, because the flat was looking very promising. Ten minutes had passed, and I was finally able to make a booking. The person I spoke with texted me within an hour asking to confirm the viewing by an email. I did. The very next day ,early in the morning I received two missed calls from the same gentlemen asking to re-confirm once more. I had specifically asked not be contacted on the phone, however I still got back to him and confirmed the viewing once more. The same scenario occurred on the following day, this time a young lady was trying to reach me to "confirm" the viewing. Only two hours after speaking with her, I received a text message from another agent - clearly asking to, yes, you've guessed it: "confirm the viewing" . First time in my life I was feeling like someone involuntarily participating in a Monty Python's sketch. This morning, after my fifth confirmation I headed to the agreed location. NO ONE SHOWED UP. I called the agency once more, and was instructed to enter the building and wander around a little, hoping to stumble across another agent who at that time was assisting another customer. Only then I finally was able to see the flat. I liked it. I liked it a lot. I'd love to take it. However taking into account how I've been treated, being pushed around like that, the amount of incompetency I had to tolerate, it's beyond me. I consider myself a professional ,and can't picture myself paying anything to an agency with such a low standards and complete lack of respect to their own customers.

Rented from them in 2013-2014. Good experience and very professional until I was leaving. We had a last minute request to view which wasn’t possible for us and turned a little strange. Manager threatened to personally deliver letter around everyday to give required 24hrs notice to view whether someone was coming or not. I can't fault Northfields in the way that they handled the sale of my property in Haven Lane. David and Kieron at Northfields on the New Broadway gave good advice and kept me informed of progress at all times. As well as liaising with the purchasers, they kept in close touch with the solicitors and generally kept the show on the road so that the whole process was as pain free as possible. And they were pleasant to deal with, which I set high value on in what is a stressful situation. I chose Northfields from my short list in the belief that their professional approach combined with an in-depth knowledge of and commitment to a small patch would serve me better than the local branch of a national chain. Can't go wrong with this agency. Craig with the help of Kieron, managed my property sale and were professional, on the ball, courteous and importantly they DELIVERED!
They bent over backwards to show the house to it's best and ironed out a few 'hitches' along the way to help secure the sale.
I was glad they were there to ultimately make this a trouble free, stressless experience.

I have used Northfields Estate agents on several occasions as my preferred agents, dealing with both property sales and renting. I have to mention Noura Mehdinejad who has been marketing my rental properties for the last few years. She is professional, considerate, knowledgeable about the rental market, responds quickly to email enquiries and is client focused. Additionally, both herself and Northfields are very supportive when things have gone wrong including dealing with difficult tenants. This is a firm that doesn't let their customers down, supports them through the whole process and actually goes beyond what other estate agents would do - Noura is an excellent example of this, as are many other members of the team. There is a large backroom staff, who provide excellent advice and support for clients. I have recommended friends to them both for property transactions and rental. Noura has again supported me and my wife with advice and documents to facilitate our latest buy-to-let mortgage process - many thanks Noura, we really value the excellent service you continue to provide!!!

We actually found a place with another agency in the end but would approach Northfields again if we decide to move within the area in the future. Staff were helpful and efficient but didn't pressure us or exaggerate in order to close a sale. Josh listened carefully to our requirements and always followed things up - it just so happened that another flat came up in the perfect location at the right time, so that was no reflection on their service.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience!
The letting agent that was helping us finding a property to rent has been amazing.
He arranged many viewings in a short period of time, he was actively looking for any new properties that were coming to market and making sure that we were the first ones to view it, but also making sure that the properties we were viewing were matching our needs.

Noura Mehdinejad from the Ealing Broadway Lettings Branch went above and beyond for me as a landlord. Having previously dealt with other agents in the area, and quite frankly, being fed up, Noura gave me honest and reliable feedback about the current market. After dealing with Noura I cannot see myself dealing with any other agent but herself. Noura did not only gave me an achievable and realistic valuation (far better than the other agents who over priced the property just for my business), but also achieved the asking price rent for me in a short amount of time which helped me avoid a rental void period. I will definitely be recommending Noura and Northfields Lettings Agents to anyone looking for a reliable agent in the area!!

From start to finish Noura and her team were amazing; they negotiated a good deal for me, found the ideal tenants, not to mention their attentiveness to my issues as a landlord. I used the Ealing Broadway branch to help me find a property a few weeks ago. My agent's name was Noura Mehdinejad and she was absolutely brilliant! She listened carefully to my enquiry and offered me a great selection of properties within a quick period of time. I have to say, I wasn't always the easiest to work, but she was so patient with me and didn't give up until I found somewhere I absolutely loved. I really appreciated her help and will definitely be using her Noura for my next move :)

Awfull! Completely unprofessional. Even trying to escape with false arguments like I've tried to call you this morning, maybe you téléphone is not working!! Courtesy training should be the minimum for the whole staff. The lady I talked to didn't even apologise.

Where to start, first of all despite arranging an appointment I was not on their systems so there was some confusion as to what property I was to see. When we got to the property they obviously did not let the tenants know and they refused us entry. Came back another day and we were finally allowed in, the property itself was fine and we did end up renting it. Thankfully we dealt directly with the landlord afterwords and things were smooth until its time to move...
