We recently bought a house from a vendor using Hills Residential. Leah from the Eccles branch dealt with the sale and we were happy she did. Leah's communication was great, which I think really helped keep the process moving in the right direction and at a good pace. We found Hills to be accommodating when it came to viewings and Leah in particular acted as a good 'go between' for us (as buyers) and the vendors. To top it off, we were loving the welcome pack with branded Hills merchandise that we got when we moved in, ha! That bright yellow umbrella has saved me several times this 'summer'. Our experience of buying from Hills has meant we would seriously considering using them to sell in the future.

I have NEVER experienced such utter incompetence in my entire life. As a tenant, the property inventory was not done correctly and we were allowed to move into a property with no hot water or heating, a week later this was only partially sorted. Our bank details have been lost twice, personal details have been confused with other tenants, and the company has withheld a rent refund from the landlord on account of their 'phone lines not working to process online banking.' I have escalated my issues with Hills to at least one regulatory body as well as Trading Standards. Use at your own peril either as a tenant or a landlord.

Overall my experience with Hills was good. I had one bad experience when viewing a property, where the estate agent was rude. I also find that when viewing properties with Hills, the estate agents do not show you around the property. They leave you to look around yourself, I found this unhelpful as i am a first time buyer and I would have appreciated it if the estate agent showed me around and gave me some more information about the property. In conclusion I would use Hills in the future if I ever had a need as they are very efficient when it comes to booking in viewings.

Im a landlord that chose, fully managed with them about 6 months.
Still chasing them to do the first quartley check.
I had to inform them, my tenant hadn't paid their rent for two whole months.
Has only ever called me back once, even though every phone calls end with a promise to get back in touch.
Awful customer service all around and wouldn't recommend.
