I had to attend the Knight Frank office for verification ,with my partner, as a part of the lettings process. The weather was bad and it was raining. I cannot remember the name of the staff member at Knight Franks but he was extremely helpful and polite and offered to come and meet my partner in the car park so as to not cause us any inconvenience. This shows that the ethos and customer service , for the Ascot branch, is paramount and maintained to a high standard. I contacted Charlotte Kelly, recently ,for some advise which was non related to this tenancy and she was prompt in returning my call despite me not leaving a message on her answerphone. Knight Frank is not managing the current property I am renting and therefore I did not expect a call back. I have dealt with many agents in the past and can safely say that Knight Franks Ascot are one of the very few Estate Agents that care about their clients and it is not just about the business for them.

We got in touch with Knight Frank in early May about the sale of my parents' house both of whom had died earlier in the year. The sale was successfully completed November 24th.
Our experience with them has been almost entirely very satisfactory. We spoke to 3 agents initially and had no hesitation in deciding on Knight Frank. They arrived well-prepared with a full cover of their brief, much useful information on comparable properties they had sold locally, an authoritative overview on market conditions locally and more generally, good market strategies, with national and international data base, plus a reassuring emphasis on personal interaction and follow-up and were efficient and understanding in their viewing and analysis of the house itself. The initial price they put on the property was also bang in the middle of the three varying views of the three different estate agents we interviewed. While this was a consideration in choosing KF, it was the least important factor in our decision.
Our first impressions were borne out by our subsequent dealings. KF were direct but entirely polite, sensitive and accommodating about how we should best set up the property for client viewings (furniture, pictures to be left, removed etc.). Once the property was on the market there were instantly a good number of viewings and this continued over the summer. Once it became clear that house was creating much interest but no offers we decided to reduce the price but this was a decision that was neither rushed into nor left hanging for too long. Their advice on how to drop the price proved spot on, having an almost immediate effect. Indeed their advice throughput has proved invaluable and we have never had cause to fault it.
KF took entire responsibility for all dealings with potential clients and with the eventual buyers. We were entirely happy to entrust them with this and encountered no problems.
A couple of very small criticisms:
It seemed to take quite a time to put the paperwork in place to put the property on the market.
Communication could occasionally have been better. They generally rang with regular updates bi-weekly on how the viewings were going but sometimes this lapsed and there were longer gaps that needed a bit of nudging. Also occasional emails and telephone messages that needed chasing for a reply. Generally speaking however communication was fine and they were always ready to spend time discussing things at any length on the telephone when I did get in touch. Their emails were concise, efficient and comprehensive.

Having conducted himself so professionally on the sale of my mothers home, I feel compelled that such a thorough service should be commended and the Knight Frank top-tier management should be made aware of what a truly fantastic job George achieved.
From when my mother made the decision to sell her house three years ago to the final stages proved to be an arduous journey......we commissioned numerous established local agents and having eventually secured a reliable buyer, the last few weeks were made far less stressful primarily through George's natural ability to communicate, often on a daily basis.
For a young chap of 25 years, he demonstrated a level of understanding and maturity way beyond his years and having had personal experience in this industry, I am fully aware how challenging these transactions can be when dealing with multiple variables.
My advice - do what it takes to keep George onboard. It would be the best decision you will have made in a while!

We have just exchanged contracts on our home of many years on a communal garden in Notting Hill. Knight Frank'sTom Goy and his team found 3 potential buyers, from only 4 off-market viewings, in the space of 2 weeks. The new owners exchanged contracts 4 weeks after having made an acceptable offer. From our perspective, what could have been an enormously stressful, as well as emotionally trying experience was about as smooth as it could have been. Virtually no disruption and no time wasting, The Knight Frank team and their buyers were charming and polite, and we achieved a price that we viewed as extremely fair.
Given the gloom and the negative headlines about prime London property that one sees everywhere, we were very pleasantly surprised.
We will miss Notting Hill, but couldn't be leaving under more auspicious circumstances.
