Ashleigh Watson dealt swiftly with an exaggerated bill from EON. The original outstanding balance was apparently £1500. The debt collectors were sent out for our company which was totally abhorrent as the bill was for a previous tenant so I forwarded it to Ashleigh at Madison’s who corresponded with EON as a matter OF URGENCY! The final outstanding bill to our company was £15 and not £1500. Thank you and well done Ashleigh.

This is a message to all landlords that are interested in advertising their property with this agent!!!!! They are all a liar and liar to landlords and tenants be careful with this agent. My advice is make sure they don’t manage your property…
as I’m a landlord myself I can relate to all landlords and this is why I am leaving this comment purely for the landlords that are advertising their property on with this agent. My experience was so awful that I’ve changed my mind moving into Loughton area purely because of this state agents.
Just a quick overview of what I went through I saw a property that was advertised with this agent and I’ve called them and spoken to letting negotiator Tom. He asked me a few questions and said to me, he will get back to me once he has spoken with the tenants. Tom didn’t get back to me for days as I was chasing him up He was saying the same thing, he couldn’t get through to the tenant, and within this time the property already let so I had lost the chance to even see.
few weeks later another 1 Bed property came up with this agent and I called spoke with Tom again and he said to me that he’s going to speak to the landlord and arrange a viewing which was the same kind of thing he said with the previous apartment so therefore I waited again and didn’t receive any call back for few days as I was Chasing up, he was saying the same things to me, he couldn’t get through to the landlord. Because he had said the same thing with the previous house, I said to my friend could you call and say that you’re a hairdresser and see if Tom is gonna arrange a viewing? He arranged a viewing straight away for her and then when I called back 20 minutes later as me, he said to me still waiting to hear from the landlord. I actually whent and saw the property as the hairdresser and met Tom but didn’t say anything to him. The property is still on the market which means this landlord has lost nearly a months worth of rent and Tom hasn’t still called me regarding a viewing because this agent chooses tenants not to suit the landlord not what the landlord would want. They pick and choose tenants with Personal feelings. Then three weeks later I called the manager spoke with the manager Stuart explained the situation to him and complained about Tom, Stuart said he will speak with Tom and find out what exactly happened and get back to me tomorrow next but he also did say because I’m a landlord and don’t have my tax return for the year that might be the problem why Tom hasn’t showed me the property!!!! Okey if that was the Problem then why are you not honest with potential tenants and landlords, Tom could’ve said to me sorry this landlord is requesting XYZ. I am landlord that owns large investment properties in central London in Essex. I had the worse experience and this is exactly why I don’t rent my Properties through an agent.
I will be writing in a personal letters to the landlords that are advertising with this agent currently to make sure that they know what is going on backstage with their properties it’s awful experience at the point that is made me not wanna move into the area. That’s how bad this agent was and I’m not a person to write feedback or comments but I am going to take this further and make sure that this Tom doesn’t do this again to other people .

Behind every brand are its people, who make things happen. Wayne Foley and Brontë Sheridan are the people every business should want to hire because they are professional but more importantly (in my long winded selling case) proactive ! The selling of a property is never straightforward and ours was certainly not that.
Of course it's a competitive market being an estate agent.
But we were very impressed by Wayne Foleys' professionalism he certainly knows his job. He sold it for us within the week!
He explained that was almost where his involvement ended; we would now be looked after by the Sales Progression Team, namely Bronte Sheridan.
Well what can we say about the marvellous Bronte. She has many accolades for her hard work, integrity and endless patience.
There were occasions when we had reached the end of our tether with the whole process! She calmed us and reassured at every bump in the road.
And of course we did 'complete' almost to the day Wayne said we would. Brontes dedication never wavered and saw us through.

This is a public announcement to those trying to get a property through Maddison Fox. Stay well clear of this Lettings agency!
Shanon Davis the lettings co-ordinator of Maddison fox Loughton branch is very unprofessional and collusive and preys on vulnerable individuals for financial gains. I was initially pressured by Jamie Chappell into paying 6 months rent in advance to secure my “spot” or I will lose my holding deposit, which made no sense as I was eligible to rent on a monthly basis. The communication was very one sided from the pair of them, as they only contacted me when they felt like and did not return any calls/emails when I was trying to reach them. I was given the complete run around during the process of moving in and trying to vacate the premises. Originally I was suppose to move in at the end of October 2023, however they delayed my move in date by an additional 2 weeks, which left me out of pocket as I had to call in the removal team and call off work. Now that I am trying to vacate the premises she is trying to coerce me into extending the lease for another 6 months, even though I have given her 2 months notice before the 6 month break clause which is stated on my contract. She is also is trying to make me responsible to find her a new tenant, which I find hilarious because isn’t that their job? I know I am well within in my rights in my contract. This is just a friendly public announcement to avoid dealing with Shannon and Jamie as they both seem to have hidden agendas and financially motivated interests. This has been nothing but a horrible experience and I would not want anyone else to experience what I have!

Put the house on the market a year ago via Lester from Madison Fox Chigwell branch, who got buyers through the door and offers in, in accordance with his valuation.Got a buyer but then I suffered a bereavement, so had to go through probate. On top of this we had the Liz Truss mini crash and lots of complications thrown up by the probate and my solicitor but Bronte Sheridan, Madison's Chigwell office co-ordinator from start to finish was absolutely fantastic, she was so on the ball and never missed a detail, an absolute credit to Madison Fox, I 100% recommend them as the go to estate agency for the IG post code covering Loughton, Chigwell, Buckhurst Hill, Woodford and surrounding areas.A big than you to both Bronte & Lester.

What an awful agency! stay well away.
Madison Fox and their lettings agent in particular are deceitful and misleading. Our family has had a horrible experience with them that has left us very distressed and disappointed.
We saw a property that we loved and after a lot of back and forth, we were told that our offer was accepted and the landlord wanted to proceed. We paid our holding deposit and handed in notice to our current place. We were due to move in to the new house in around 2 weeks time, and despite constantly chasing the agent for an update, we were finally told that the landlord had a DEATH in his family and decided not to proceed with the listing any more. Something didnt feel right so we raised a complaint later to find out that everything the agent had said to us was a lie. He made a whole story up about a loss in the family, a POA that needed signing, when in the end he was simply using us to get other tenants in. We have a young child and we were almost in a position where we would be left without a home.
It is sick and disturbing behavior and sadly management have not done much to provide comfort that this wont happen again.. so be warned. Its a cowboy operation and sadly agents like you continue to create a bad name for the industry.

They go above and beyond to help you sell or purchase your dream home. MadisonFox completed both our home sale and the purchase at the same time. We were very lucky to come across the MadisonFox sales team and the management team because they listened to your property preference and match the property type very carefully. We trusted the team straightaway because they kept their promise from the very first day. We were on the market for over a year and at that point very exhausted and disappointed with most of the Loughton local estate agents because of their poor work ethics especially unethical negotiation skills. What we loved about the MadisonFox staff is everyone was trustworthy, confidential and they have the best work ethos. It was a great experience to go through the paperwork side of the house sale and purchase with the management team. They put you at ease even the things seem a bit tedious and slightly challenging at times to get over the documentation phase. We would not have the patience or time to go through the probate paperwork if it wasn't their great support and experience with excellent communication skills with the solicitors. All the updates were provided to us with a clear set of instructions well in advance and each step of the process from the start to the end was managed efficiently and communicated timely. I interviewed 5 estate agents as I wanted the best service for the sale of my property. I was either overwhelmed with pushy and demanding agents telling me how it was, with high % rates, extended sole agent sale or bombarded with stats on sales, which meant nothing to me and little or no interest in my feelings. I had actually decided on one of the five, who I would say would have been great, but at that time hadn’t spoken with Madison, as I’d had enough by then! when I received a call on the Monday morning from Simon at Madison, I explained I had decided to market my property elsewhere, however, Simon’s response was ‘let me come and have a chat’, without being pushy and so I thought why not. I found him to be personable, engaging, honest with his valuation and I was able to negotiate Madisons price. I signed up, I found the entire service excellent, but would like to give particular thanks to Bronte, part of the team who kept me up to date, always returned my calls, was professional and great to work with. Not only did I sell my property with them, but I also purchased my new home. The icing on the cake was receiving a huge bunch of beautiful flowers from Madison, which was a lovely touch. I would highly recommend their services, so thanks again to all the team, I couldn’t be happier in my new yard!

I am very happy with the service I received from MF...they sold my house for me! They were the most expensive agent I approached, but well worth it because, they sold my house for the best price. Georgia in the office was always bubbly and kept me in touch, giving feedback etc. And Simon was great at the initial valuation, I had every confidence he would sell my house and he handled the viewings well. The whole team worked well together

I wouldn't even give this estate agent 1 star. Unprofessional from day one, clear foul play with the homeowner. Safe to say we DEFINITELY will not be using them. Came across a house the other day and steered clear purely because it was Madison Fox.

This agency deserves below 1 star!!!! I viewed a flat & on the spot put in an offer, filled in the tenancy reservation form on the day, paid a holding deposit & then sent in the required bank/ wage details the next day. Did not hear anything for a wk (presuming they were contacting any referees) & when I hadn’t heard anything, spoke to my work who also hadn’t been contacted, my credit company had not had a check, I emailed the agent (7 days after original information was given) & did not hear back. I then called the agent today (11 days after original offer) to be told that the landlady is not renting the half anymore & is moving back in...!!!!! They still have my deposit!!!!!! Avoid at all costs. They are at the worst dishonest! At best in-professional & unreliable

5/5 for professionalism, perseverance and honest advice. James and Alex managed our property sale. They developed a great relationship with two sets of tenants who lived in the property throughout the sale. They provided excellent advice on all aspects of the process, which was underpinned by a strong understanding of the local market and a good black book of contacts. I visited there Loughton office and met James who was extremely professional throughout the process. It is the worst estate agent in UK I been asking for my old tenancy agreement for the last 2 weeks, they promise to provide me with my old tenancy agreement but they still haven't.Letting manager Simon he is a big liar when i was a tenant they used to upset landlady as well. Do not ever do Business with this estate agent.The review you see 5 star i am hundred percent sure they are made up reviews

I have called five times to get a viewing to buy a property and no has bothered to call back. Not once. If i were you and I were selling my property I would look else where. I think i am going to have to go and directly knock on the home owners door.

OMG! Absolute nightmare from start to finish. I would not touch these people with a bargepole! I agree completely with the review below from Wendy Smith, Alex at Madison Fox is a born liar and wouldn't know the truth if it smacked him in the head! Unorganised, Unprofessional, Liars.
Pretend to be out of office, never answer emails or calls back, total lack of communication and empathy. Pass the buck around rather than deal with a problem. Gave us a back door key to a rented house with no Tenancy agreement as no-one has signed it, but more than happy to take our money. Am in the process of making complaint to Property Ombudsman. There are so many estate agents to choose from these days, I would consider options before giving these people a penny of your money!!! Other reviews on here that are positive must have been written by the staff at Madison Fox, as I know a few people that have dealt with Madison and they too have had nothing but problems....You have been warned !!!!

I Dealt with James at Madison Fox when we was buying our flat and he was helpful throughout the whole process. He also passed us onto Joseph the mortgage guy who also got us a great mortgage. The whole process was very straight forward. I would definitely recommend them both!

I asked for details about a flat for sale on their books on the Saturday, was told that no one from sales could speak to me that day. I rang on the Monday and on the Tuesday and still without success. No one could or would even confirm whether the flat was still for sale or what the position was even though it was still advertised on Right Move. If I was a seller I'd advise going elsewhere to market your property. If you are buyer....good luck! I'm now looking with different estate agents.
