We have used Mann in Ramsgate for several years now and have been delighted by their personal and friendly approach. In particular we always enjoy dealing with Ms. Shannon Jones, who is particularly attentive and dedicated to outstanding customer care and also extremely diligent concerning the fine details of short-hold tenancies and property management. She somehow manages to offer all this whilst being not only extremely friendly, but also (whilst one respects that she is extremely busy), she is always available for telephone discussions and generous offers of advice, which is hugely appreciated by any landlord. We have a large property rental portfolio and recently turned our backs on a local competitor who have through their own sheer determination to do so, become so big an outfit that they have unwittingly lost all the personal one on one qualities they once had, and are now just a machine, where mistakes are made too often and you never speak to the same person twice.
You will never be treated like this at Mann’s.

Mann, and Shannon in particular are a breath of fresh air when it comes to letting agents. Communicative and accurate and willing to go the extra mile to show you properties that might be suitable. They do not obstruct access to potential suitable properties due to having pets and will discuss your subjective circumstances first. It’s collaborative which is almost unheard of in the lettings world these days! We accepted a house that was perfect for us to rent and all was going well until the landlord wasn't communicating.
Mann said they will call as soon as they have contacted the landlord.
2 weeks went by, still didn't here anything, so we phoned again and they still can't get hold of landlord.
2 weeks later we noticed that the property has been let. ????
We phoned and they forgot about us. ???? Absolutely disgusting, totally unprofessional. Very disappointed.

I am new to the Thanet area and was seeking somewhere to rent. Whilst I eventually went with another lettings agent I must say that Jade and Shannon at Mann made me feel like a valued customer by engaging fully with me with tailored properties (rather than a 'send all' approach) that were communicated by polite phone calls and ensuing emails. Mann estate agents have made it hell for me and my daughter who's only 4.
They just don't care... Told us they couldn't get access due to tenants for work to be completed but when the landlord wants a sales valuation they are in within a couple of days.
The work was left for about 5 months, which left me and my daughter unable to use our garden safely.
I'm going to leave this review for both Margate and Ramsgate office as I know they have both given me and my landlord the run around.

Their garden has been left like this since February during the storm!
constantly chasing them to come and fix it for about 4 months now.

Why are they not warning potential buyers?
I own a property next door to one that Mann have been managing and now selling, (130 Southwood Road, Ramsgate) I found out that I have Japanese knotweed that shares my border along with theirs.
I have contacted Mann 's sales team to let them know as it is illegal to sell a house without disclosing Japanese Knotweed... they have told me its not their problem and it will show in the searches and they don't need to tell potential buyers when viewing.
I want to cover my back, they said i need it in writing... so here it is!

I cant slate the individual agents but when it comes to management they become a nightmare to deal with.
I have been lied to, fobbed off with excuses after excuses... all for just trying to get them to do their job!

At first we got a really good service from them. That was until we actually moved into the flat. They moved us into a flat which has almost 1k debt on a Pay As you Go electricity meter courtesy of a previous tennant, which we are currently paying for. No one mentioned this and i found out myself as i had a look at the meter and it said debt. It is eating our money as fast as you can blink and we have no other choice but to keep paying as we need electricity for our children. They have made us deal with this ourselves under the pretext that "we are the bill holders" so we have to deal with it. Absolutely appalling. No help whatsoever they do not care abput the situation they have put us in. We have 2 babies and its hard enough as it is, but to be drowned in this debt unwillingly now thats outrageous, not to mention illegal. This has caused me so much stress i can barely sleep at night. Beware when you rent from them, even though they are polite and good, they have no clue whats going on and can put you in the same situation.

The perfectly professional experience from start to finish. I contacted Mann based on their good reviews, and I had a very good experience with them letting out my property.
I primarily dealt with Lucy Wilson, who was very efficient and proactive from the start. I was kept updated about the whole process, and I was able to get good guidance throughout the process. The timings worked out because how good the staff is at Mann's Ramsgate.
I would highly recommend using their services if you are looking to let out your home.

Helpful, efficient and on the case.
The lettings office management and staff in Ramsgate take the time to know their landlords and the properties that they let. They look ahead and anticipate needs, and provide guidance rather than taking a transaction approach to just react and process the paperwork. All staff that I deal with are able to help quickly.
It is evidently a well-managed office. The manager also does a good job in helping me to understand some of the property management processes handled by Countrywide, and sometimes helps to resolve issues.

Experience we have had as first time buyers was shocking, they were rude and hung up on us once. Didn't tell us what was going on with property we was looking at and never phoned back when they said they would. I do not recommend this company to anyone they are awful.

Since I had not instructed this or any other estate agent I was quite surprised to find a Let by sign fixed to my property (causing damage by the drill holes). On phoning them I was very shocked by their rude, unhelpful and unprofessional comments and attitude. 3 days on we are still waiting for them to remove this sign, let alone repair the damage.
I personally wouldn't employ an estate agent who apparently can't tell one road from another!
As requested I have contacted them - again - and hope they will now remove the sign which has already been here for 4 full days. Had they been courteous and acted promptly, (or could tell which road they were in!) we could all have been saved this hassle.

One star is too much. Mann lettings are the worst estate agents in Thanet. From the experience so far I hope that I never have a problem with the property to have to speak to them ever again. I will tell anyone who asks how awful they are. Charging fees through the roof, I feel like ive just thrown money away as Ive had nothing from them to prove they have earnt it. Always get a pathetic response (which i will also probably get in response to this review). The staff are obnoxious and lazy. GO ELSEWHERE!!!

Quick to take my deposit and then the silent treatment for weeks.... six requests for a call back and not one other then to ring my number for one ring then hang up over the space of ten days.... they even sound patronising when they are apologising for not calling you back.... communication is a basic human skill

There ok to take your money but when you have a problem they do nothing had no oven for 4 weeks after ringing daily told me someone was coming out they never did! Had to get it fixed myself. Called with a a problem again today at 10.39 was told manager will be calling me back. Obviously they never did sick of these agents there a disaster. Quick enough to ring me when they think I haven't paid the rent when I have ! Trading standards need to be called in. There an absolute joke. I'd highly recommend never letting or buying from these agents.
