House search, not very helpful, rude staff especially Naomi who gets snotty on the phone and that’s if they arnt ignoring your calls in the first place. They try to bend the rules to suit themselves and try to pull the wool over your eyes. Wouldn’t trust them at all.... Read more

Our property was difficult to value, as it is a unique ex-public house building with enormous square footage but in need of renovation and modernisation. The marketing of this house needed careful handling, and Syd and the team did a fantastic job. Firstly, taking up their Enhanced Marketing Pack was a great move, enabling us to hit the ground running with professional photographs and premium Rightmove listings, getting potential buyers through the door. Such a unique property was always going to take a while to find its value and its new owners, but R A Bennett managed to get us what we needed. Additionally, as this was a divorce sale, Syd had the additional job of having two separated partners to contact at each step, all of which was handled sensitively and competently. Working with the team was a real pleasure, as they are lovely people, and the Dursley office has a friendly but businesslike atmosphere. Thank you Syd and Simon - you did a great job.... Read more

They sold our house the day we put it on the market for the value we wanted. This helped us to secure the proprty we wanted. Let down and misled when invoiced. During our initial valuation we were asked to pay £149 up front for photographs, I was unhappy with this but was told it would be refunded on completion if I used their legal services. The legal services department were unprofessional and didn't return my calls. The female estate agent even had the quote me as I or her couldn't get any responses from the legal team direct. I was forced to use my own solicitor. I was then penalised by no refund. Unfortunately this has become a bad experience and therefore can not be recommended this estate agent to other vendors. * I emailed the head office who again refused my refund. It was said that I could appeal but they can not pass comments or take into account the unprofessional services from their recommended conveyancing solicitors. Frankly I'm disguised, if R A BENNETT recommend legal services they should take responsibility when a vendor is offered unprofessional service and not penalise them. I therefore stand by my one star rating as unsatisfactory. Vendors beware and shop around for professional services from both your estate agent and solicitor. To accept no responsibility for companies recommendations I would suggest as shocking to most vendors and members of the public, especially as part of your conveyancing package. I still believe that your company has a duty of care to offer and ensure professional services they recommend to their clients. (12th June 2018) * Thank you for your response but I still I believe, and I'm sure other vendors will agree with my last paragraph above. For the cost of £149 you still have an unsatisfied customer through not fault of my own. Be professional and accept some responsibility.... Read more

It wasn't the most straight forward sale being an older and non-standard property, but we were kept informed at all stages, and were able to contact them whenever required and we were never rushed when we wanted to discuss things. The advice about price and selling strategies was spot on; they know their market well. We had lots of viewings and plenty of interest - not many timewasters.
