I normally can't abide Estate agents as it is normally like dealing with a stuck up and pompous salesman, However I was pleasantly surprised with RA Bennett's in Cheltenham.
A young lass Keeley, was very helpful in regards to a couple of viewings and very quick in responding to any questions. Unfortunately there was not a property that suited my needs at this time but I would definitely use this estate agent in the future.

I've been a customer of R A Bennett for nearly 12 years for their fully managed letting service of my rental property.
Throughout the time I have been with them I have always received an extremely efficient and professional service from Ellouise, India and the rest of the team at the Cheltenham branch
Recently during my change of tenancy, Ellouise was very proactive and immediately scheduled viewings. Within a week viewings had been taking place, the various tenants backgrounds and feedback discussed and a tenant then selected to move in.
The whole team are very good at helping guide you through the process, provide their own recommendations, are very pleasant to deal with and come highly recommended.

I wouldn't recommend these agents to sell your home. The manager Neal Kelly signs you up and everything seems fine.
Unfortunately that's pretty much all you hear from him and your property is left with young inexperienced sales people who probably would be better placed selling hamburgers in McDonald's.
My property wasn't locked up properly several times and communication between the staff and myself seemed almost non existent.
On one occasion they sent someone down to view and forgot to give him the alarm deactivation code ( which I provided several times beforehand) when I got home my alarm was activated and my neighbour was complaining.
My brother who was helping me was asked for full ID IE bank details photo ID name and address ect. I refused because it was my property and he was only advising me. RA Bennett then refused to communicate with him. What if someone down the road was giving me advice would they need to provide all this information? Absolutely ridiculous.
By luck they did however manage to find me a buyer after 6 weeks yet failed to retain him and my dream bungalow was sold to another buyer because I couldn't find anyone else for my house in time.
When I picked up my keys after they had them for 6 months I was told by Peter Coldicott that I had actually had other offers on my house!!!! what a shame he didn't inform me!
I recommend you pick another agent.

Peter Coldicott showed me around a property a few months ago, I was very impressed with his salesmanship and his genuine / honest demeaner. I went on to purchase the property and have been in close communication with Peter ever since, he has dealt with my case with punctuality and enthusiasm. Having been in the market for nearly 6 months prior and meeting countless estate agents, dealing with Peter was a breath of fresh air. I would recommend Peter and R A Bennett to anyone!
I would also like to give mention to Leon Wellings who showed me around the property for my second viewing, not only can I speak to Leon's character but it is unusual in my experience to find an estate agent with such a proficient understanding of construction too, Leon's skillset allows him to answer some tricky questions which fills you with confidence as a perspective buyer.

I had a virtual viewing via WhatsApp booked in. They did not call on date or time of viewing. I emailed to query what the issue may be. I telephoned on the Monday at least 6 times and left 3 voicemails. No one gave me the courtesy of a response. Or returned any of my calls. How can a company operate like this. Sophie and Oliver did a great job at selling my house in town. They pitched the sale at the perfect price and targeted the right prospective buyers. I had 13 offers on my house, which Sophie vetted and gave me a report on. There was no pressure put on me to go with their "known" buyers. It took approx 3 1/2 months from the agent"s initial viewing to sale completion. My only criticism of the branch would be that there needs to be someone always available to pick up the phone. Anything house related is stressful and voicemail adds to frustration. Emails were usually responded to within 24h. All in all a great service and a better experience than with previous house sales. I had my property on the market for 2 years, with two different estate agents; both let me down in every way. I had lost all hope, and could not see what was wrong with my property. Until, in January 2022, I decided to try R A BENNETT, this was my last ditch attempt to sell. They were incredible, very approachable and upbeat, they decided that an open day would be a good way of gauging how it will be received by the people who came to view; this was all done at very short notice. After that event, I had received 7 great offers, fantastic! Within a couple of days my house was taken off the market after accepting an offer that was favourable. Our tenants had to leave earlier than planned. The property was marketed well and a day of viewings held. After 11 viewings we had 10 applications. The new tenant will move in the day after the notice period ends, so no extra costs to us. Jasmine Cole did an amazing professional job and made the re-rental stress free. We have just completed on the purchase of a house in Chletenham which was sold through R A Bennett Estate Agents. This was quite a complicated purchase due to background circumstances and we doubt that we would have reached the finishing line without the help and support of Kristina, the branch manager. We dealt with her throughout the process which took nearly 5 months and she was outstanding throughout. There were numerous difficulties to overcome but Kristina communicated with us at every stage and helped to steer everything forwards when it looked like things might grind to a halt. Trying to complete on a house purchase in the dying days of the stamp duty holiday was I think, for everyone involved, an absolute nightmare! We were endlessly reassured to have Kristina on our side - going in to bat for us with unreachable solicitors, lying estate agents (at bigger Cheltenham estate agents than RA Bennet) and a chain that became complicated. The team is professional, friendly and adaptable - which in an industry that often seems at best haphazard and at worst manipulative, is such a win from them.

R A Bennetts' (Cheltenham) Sales' Arm is top class. Kristina and her team have been brilliant from start to finish. They have been completely focused on us and our unique (and demanding) needs. They have been kind, considerate and always cheerful and upbeat. The sale particulars were professional, accurate and drew in lots of interest. They maintained their focus and commitment and continued to market it and try their very best, even when it became clear that a sale would be extremely difficult and / or impossible due to planner's blight. I found Kristina to be honest, straight talking, responsive and an absolute delight to deal with. She has a very strong work ethic. Buying a property from the other side of the world (Sydney, Australia) in 6 weeks was always going to be challenging, add Covid lockdowns in the UK, and taxes for overseas investors increasing from 1st April and it seemed like it might not happen by 31 March.
But it did! And in no small measure to the irrepressible Sophie Harkness and her equally talented colleague Ellie Ferris.
Both ladies went the extra mile to provide pictures and videos of the property, and dealt with the 11 hour time difference ensuring that queries were turned around quickly and I always felt supported.
Sophie is always positive, responsive and drives things forward. As Ellie takes over from a Lettings perspective she is getting through the work to prepare the property and find the right tenant.

Would like to give zero star if system allows me. We meant to move in on Friday and received a phone call 96 hours (within same week) before saying we can no longer move in to the flat as the roof was leaking and need a dehumidifier for two weeks before they can send anyone to fix the issue. No replacement accommodation was offered and said they can refund our deposit (which is disgusting leaving us homeless). I then tried to look for another flat on the website again as I can’t afford to wait for another referencing done by other letting agent. Staff are of lies and one staff said have 10 viewings on the second flat on bank holiday Monday and later in the afternoon another staff saying they have 15 viewings!!!

Need to find a tenant for your rental property? Use R A Bennetts! The folk in Cheltenham are amazing - nothing seems to much trouble and being a novice like myself I needed my hand held quite a bit as finding tenants can be scary! The staff are friendly, attentive and all round great. 5 stars just isn't enough.

WOW ... I cannot rate the R A Bennett experience highly enough. I sold my property exactly how I wanted to, with a single open day rather than lots of separate viewings as it fitted in with work and life commitments. It sold for above what I was expecting and on the day! I then bought through R A Bennett as well after having been very poorly served by another agent. There were a number of inevitable hiccoughs in the process and every one was handled efficiently and professionally. The team were fantastic and really helped my as a seller and a buyer to complete the transactions ... all whilst heavily pregnant! If you want a professional and honest estate agents ... this is it!

We are based in London but were looking to buy a property in the Cotswolds.
Sian Bentley was the agent that met us at the property. She was very approachable and patient; affording unhurried time to view and to ask her lots of questions plus was very helpful providing additional information about the surrounding areas etc.
Sian also kept us reliably informed following the viewing, providing the information we needed. Although we unfortunately did not get to buy the property it did make the process easier.
