Used RMS in Ashington in both original house purchase, and recent re-mortgaging process. On both occasions, I cannot fault the service provided.
Alistair Bowman's services as a mortgage advisor in the branch cannot be faulted - responsive with timely updates throughout the entire process in very challenging economic times, as well as proactively monitoring interest rates in the slim hope a better deal might become available. It made navigating my first re-mortgaging process far more comfortable and less stressful. Would definitely recommend to friends and family!

I wasn’t too impressed with the overall initial performance of the Ashington Office, the initial advert to sell the house was incorrect and there were communication issues regarding the for sale sign, though these did get sorted quite quickly. It took 6 months + from sale to completion and at times it seamed to go quiet with regards to progress on the sale and keeping track of the chain and solicitors. As we neared the completion, Wendy did pull out all the stops and chase all levels of the chain (6 levels) and keep us updated. A big thank you to Wendy and the Team for getting us over the finish line in what turned out to be a stressful last few months.

Used Rook Matthews Sayer for a re-mortgage as a returning customer. Rook Matthews were quick to contact us approximately 6 months ago to remind us that our existing mortgage was due to expire, a service we had not received previously from a different mortgage service which had resulted in us transferring to a standard interest rate and costing us more. The Track My Case option was handy to track progress.
Alistair Bowman was our advisor a few years ago and recently. He has been so helpful, identifying the best time to search for a mortgage deal, providing regular updates and an alternative contact if he was unavailable and once a provisional deal was agreed, Alistair continued to check the market to ensure we had the most appropriate deal as interest rates continued to change. He has been honest in his advice, confirming that as we are close to paying off our mortgage, this would be the last time we would require a broker as the range of options in future years would be limited. I would have no hesitation in continuing to use Rooks Matthews and especially Alistair and would recommend them to anyone.

Dealt with Wendy mainly at the Ashington Branch, to be honest if it hadn't of been for her and the sellers agent we would have never achieved a sale and purchase as the solicitors (Gilson gray) were terrible. We were never told by Gilson Gray we could move in and even up to today we have not been told that although they were mega quick with the bill! We were however told we could by the estate agents as they advised us they had received the money. Both estate agents have been brilliant. I would highly recommend Rook Matthews Sayer in Ashington 100% The whole team are excellent.

Can't fault anything, literally all stress is taken out of it. Alistair Bowman and the ladies in the branch we all brilliant.
Alistair from the off was really engaged and listened to my needs, and then in really good time found the perfect mortgage for me. He kept me informed throughout with regular updates, even if it was just a no-info check in but just to say things were still in progress and on track. At every turn he was there to keep us informed and most importantly kept his promise with everything along the way in terms of updates, agreed phone calls, and any general requirements.
The ladies in the branch were also brilliant, they also kept me informed throughout, and every time I rang in and asked them to to organise things like additional viewings or general info updates they treat me like a priority, they always acted on the ask and kept me informed within a decent time, again even if they couldn't get in touch with the seller they would give me a quick courtesy call to let me know they have tried but left message and will chase accordingly.
Overall I couldn't fault the whole team and the experience received from start to finish was nothing short of brilliant.

Found to be very poor at communicating, despite leaving numerous voice msgs and sending emails no one replied to anything, I called yet again to speak to some one and they promised a call back with information I requested, no one called back so called again following day and nearly a week later no reply, call again today as still not one phone call back and told gone! would recommend either hiring more staff or really try and work on the communication side of your business!

Well what can I say. If it wasn’t for Wendy, Kay & the team at RMS Ashington, I would be lost.
We sold our property through RMS after recommendation from a family member. The team were always polite and accessible through email and phone calls often out if normal working hours and at weekends.
I would particulate like to highlight the unseen work from Kay who showed real empathy towards us after Initially our buyer pulled out of the sale after 8 weeks. Quickly the property was Remarketed and several offers were in within 2 days.
Kay dealt with difficulties from the buyers with ease it never seemed a problem to find fence repairs at very short notice or go out of her way to find documentation on Solar Panels to name a few issues.
Wendy was superb and only wanted the sale to go through her positive and upbeat attitude often put us at ease when things looked at times like they would fail.
Wendy even went above and beyond and picked up Dog mess out of the garden for us (we live 3 hours away from the property). These are the lengths RMS are willing to go to ensure your sale goes through.
If you don’t use Rook Matthew Sayer you must be getting an exceptional deal or just don’t see the need to use a High Street estate agents.
I can’t speak higher of these ladies, it would be a foolish move to use anyone else when selling your home.
We can’t thank you all enough for the time, effort and support we’ve received. The team are a credit to RMS.

Alistair is an extremely professional and hardworking advisor. Not only is he approachable and always there when you need him, he's also following up with you on a regular basis to see how things are progressing. You do feel that he cares for his clients and you're not only a pay check at the end of the process. When we needed to renew our mortgage offer due to overly long waiting times in the buying process he had it extended in minutes. He had the ball rolling for the fund transfer at the end of the purchase before we were even advised to start the transfer by the solicitors. He seems always on top of the game, which is superb. Myself and my brother recently had to sell my mum's house after her death. We had already had a stressful 18 month journey through probate and a few months of the house on the market with a not very proactive other agent.
Due to frustration we gave Rook Matthews Sayer a try. They immediately had viewers and an offer, that sadly fell through but straight away they had more viewers arranged and we soon received another offer.
They were in constant communication throughout the process and when there was an issue with first surveyor undervaluing the property they really went out to bat for us and the buyer to get this resolved. They responded to any queries quickly and made the whole process of selling as stress free as possible.
My dealings with estate agents in the past both buying and selling have not been too positive so this was a revelation. I would definitely recommend this Ashington office to anyone in the area.

Would have liked to give a better review but feel let down was told that the cash buyer for the sale of the property would like to complete asap 4 months later with a lot of chasing on our part it finally happened.
Poor correspondence unless it was to get us to reduce the price think they forgot they were working for and being paid by us to secure the best possible price in the shortest time frame for us the client.
This is a Shame because we believed they are the best estate agents in Ashington clearly they are not
