Wonderful experience from start to finish, Meredith was incredibly helpful and informative throughout the auction process.
As a first time auction seller my dad was a little unsure how complicated it might be but was pleasantly surprised, the entire process went very smoothly.
We couldn't recommend her and the rest of the team highly enough, always went above and beyond. Surpassed all expectations in every way, my dad was delighted with the result, as was I.

We sold our cottage with Neal and he was excellent all the way through. Professional, courteous and super organised and knowledgeable. it wasn't just our sale which he helped us on but advising on the place we wanted to move to. I would send him links on rightmove and he would quickly fire back advice and recommendations! Was great having an expert like him so willing to help. S&S have a really country-style and classy feel, and I'm really surprised more people in our area don't sell their houses with them! Our journey started at an auction on 1st March 2019 and finished today!!! It was an unconventional purchase of a quaint cottage with the intention of converting to a veterinary practice in due course. It is our pleasure to recommend Symonds & Sampson as a quality real estate agent to any family or individual searching for a new home. On our 2 ½ year journey to seeking a new home, it finally has come to an end this summer only after coming across a property that was solely being handled by Symonds & Sampson. Endless searching came to an end only when coming across Symonds & Sampson. Upto that point in time we searched, we offered on my opportunities but always ended in a bidding match, where developers had the upper hand or were favored. We were starting to give up hope until Symonds & Sampson which was a refreshing experience, where thank you cannot say enough.
We came across them this summer, as they had a property that we liked advertised. My initial meeting over the phone was a refreshing experience, where the staff member diligently took notes regarding our specific needs for a family home as well as our budgetary limitations. Additionally she could see I was a novice to auctions and explain high level the journey, timeframe and key milestones & risks that a prospective buyer needs to be made aware of. We were soon receiving local properties of a similar specification to the auction one that we were interested in
Auction day arrived and here I lost my bottle when the price started shooting up close to the guide price which was 10% +- of the asking price, even though I was the highest bidder, property did not sell. At this stage, my next contact with Symonds & Sampson was with one of their consultant(s) in the auction hall, who was very polite and not of the hard push sell type. They took down our details, budget and tried to see if the vendor would accept our offer. The following day, news was not positive. Anyways, over the next few days I went about seeking additional funds. In the meantime the estate agent must of worked on this approach with the vendor as it wasn’t long before the property was re-advertised.
As the property was now on the open market we visited it and here on my third contact with Neil at Symonds & Sampson, the professionalism continued and all the way throughout the home buying process. We never felt neglected or unimportant, all phone calls and emails were dealt with the same day, excellent status calls right upto key exchange.
We are pleased to recommend Symonds & Sampson to anyone looking to buy or selling a home. Thank you all at Symonds & Sampson.

We put our property up for auction and had an offer prior to Auction. We withdrew From the prior sale due to the proposed buyer messing us around. Symonds and Sampson came to the rescue and fitted us back into the original auction.

I really cannot recommend highly enough. Agents generally get a poor press but I simply do not recognise that publicity here. Professional, courteous and efficient with great vetting of potential buyers. Sold at full asking price within their indicated timeframe. I must single out Neal for particular praise in the way he negotiated on our behalf and then kept the whole process moving keeping everyone informed and taking as much strain out of the process as was possible. I really do not believe you can get this kind of service from detached online representation. Real value here, well done.
