James is very proactive and took me on viewings according to the type of property I was looking for. Always with a smile! Everything was going well until we returned the property. Three weeks after we left, the agency carried out a "professional" inspection, exaggerating everything. It looks like they were desperate to take money from our deposit in one way or another. Despite leaving the property in better condition than when we moved in, we were charged £250 for cleaning dust accumulated above the sockets. After almost a year, I am still waiting for the receipt. The company holding the deposit only sent an invoice and tried to trick me into thinking it was the receipt. Guys you could have just offered the cleaning service and I would have paid for it, I don't understand why you needed to mount such a scene.... Read more

Didn’t chase the landlord up for a response regarding our deposit until he finally responded 2 days before the deadline for us to counter the decision. The response included arbitrary costs with no receipts or quotes attached, no proof the damage had been taken place and we had very little time to counter these costs because he’d responded so late which lost us hundreds of pounds. They wouldn’t fix anything whilst we were there including when the fridge freezer broke as it wasn’t deemed essential. Absolute farcical service and I’d never recommend letting with them.... Amazing "personal" service. I have recently had the pleasure of dealing with Taylors Countrywide, specifically their Cardiff Bay Office. I required three separate apartments linked to my companies business operations in the South Wales area. I wont go into detail, but this proved to be extremely difficult due my own organisations set up, BREXIT and the COVID19 restrictions. However, a shining light emerged from the doom and gloom, Miss Maria Kemp. When I thought all was lost and I would have to start arranging hotels for my staff, Maria was able to guide me through the process and did all the running around, making calls and sending mails to get everything in order. All through this process Maria kept me informed, she never gave up (even though I had) and yesterday (assisted by the rest of the team) I received the keys to all three apartments. Job Sorted! Unprofessional, unethical and dishonest people. I had visited a house and immediately said I wanted it for several reasons. Even though I had tried to pass my details and the payslip, the agent Ashleigh Muir, said that there was no need and that we could do it later. On the next day, she contacted me saying everything was Ok and we were now on the step where I had to come into an agreement with the landlady. On the next day, she confirmed everything was OK, and that was the last email she ever replied to me. I found out the next day the house was rented and not for me, even after she told me to go ahead and sent the notice that I was leaving my actual property. I have never been contacted again (even after calling her directly) until I left the review in GoogleMaps. This time the manager, Again Gary Hancock, replied with lousy excuses about some colleague of her rented the house and not her. In a nutshell, I now know that the full branch acts under unprofessional, unethical and dishonest values. Be careful when using their services you might end up without your actual and future place to leave because someone else in the agency rented it, although you reserved it first. POST EDIT: I now recomend MGY just across the street, a complete different service with lots of attention to the costumer.... Read more

Avoid at all costs. Abrupt change of behaviour once the contract is signed. Complete lack of support throughout the renting, maintenance for instance. A fee was charged to provide references even though it should be free of costs by law and on top of that, they literally took 45 days to refund the deposit (values agreed 1 week after I moved out). Staff is quite friendly over the phone as well as in person, but get little if nothing done afterwards, just Promises, promises and promises. Extremely annoying. I do not recommend at all.... Do not trust this company to manage your property. I engaged them because I live 300 miles from the property in Cardiff Bay so inspections by me were not possible . They checked the tenant out despite being 1 month in arrears. I honestly find these reviews rather surprising. Either something has changed dramatically since last year or they just don't treat everyone equally. I rented a flat about 2 months ago simply because it is a nice flat. The negotiator, seemed really bored and disengaged during the viewing. There were small things that needed fixing (e.g. silicone in the bathroom needed replacing) and I was told that they will be dealt with before I move in. Since I signed a contract and paid over £600 fees they've stopped having interest in me. The mould is still flourishing in the bathroom and I've never received a reply to my comments on the inventory (Landlords beware!). When I visited the branch I was told that everything is going to be done for me, but it never was. A couple of chasing emails also remain unanswered, so I just stopped to bother with them. For the price almost twice as expensive as in most competitors I would expect a better customer service, sadly I was mistaken.... Read more
