Asked them for letting availability according to a budget and specific criteria, received back listings that were over budget and didn’t match EPC specifications. When I mentioned this, I was blown off with the idea that “other people would have gone for it”.
If I’m not listened to whilst I’m looking for a property, what happens when I’m moved in and submitting maintenance requests, or trying to get references for moving out again? Would rather go elsewhere and be taken seriously tbh

We have used the mortgage services at William H Brown several times now and during our most recent mortgage we found Demi Chadburn to be absolutely top notch. She works very efficiently and speedily, and she does exactly what she says, which isn’t a given nowadays. From the valuation to completion I have had nothing but fantastic service from every member of staff. I was kept in the loop throughout and even during the quieter moments of selling a property they were always happy to speak to me and let me know where things were at.
I felt nothing was to much trouble for them and I would highly recommend them to anyone buying/selling a property.
I am confident that if ever needed I would use them again in the future.
While all the staff are wonderful I would like to make a special point of mentioning Paris, she is a wonderful and productive worker who always made me feel comfortable when I had a query and was extremely helpful and professional throughout. Her customer service is simply outstanding.

We are nearing the completion of our first property purchase with Demi Chadburn as our mortgage advisor. Buying our first home was very scary for us as we didnt really know what we were doing, but we honestly couldn't have asked for anyone better. Renting my new flat with William H Brown Holderness Road was quite stress free and fast. The staff were quite warm and welcoming, I particularly appreciate the effort of Ellie in filling out the application form it took away the stress and pressure of having to fill it myself. However, having to come to the office to submit documents which can be sent over online in this digital age is just unnecessarily bureaucratic in my opinion. Also, trying to use contract clauses to insist on tenant content insurance was something I wasn’t quite comfortable with, as this is not obligated by law and should be at the discretion of the tenant.

From the start to finish the experience was flawless. We viewed a large number of properties throughout the day and the office was extremely efficient at organising this and accommodating our schedule. They even managed to squeeze in a few more viewings when another agent let us down.

Liz managed to get an excellent rental figure on my property, around £50 PER MONTH MORE than what any other agents had suggested. It has been 2 months now, dishwasher still NOT working, fire alarm NOT working, and now there is a leak from the bathtub….this property management agency is the biggest joke!!!! No property owner in their right mind should allow these people to manage their properties. At this point me and my husband want nothing to do with William H Brown! Every renter BEWARE and every property owner do your research before having William H Brown ruin your property and your good name!
Absolutely the most horrible letting agency I have ever encountered! They do not care about the properties they manage and every property owner would do best in finding ANY other agency. As far as renters go, beware and please stay away. My husband and I have had the most difficult time getting anything repaired in the home and our move in date was 2 weeks ago. Everything should have been in working order and it has taken 2 weeks to even get a simple reply. I would give zero stars if I could. I wish I would have worked with another agency.

Claire, the lettings manager was an absolute pleasure to deal with. I had some problems with a previous tenant, and Claire managed to make dealing with it so much easier and less stressful. Claire then found me new tenants extremely quickly. Claire continues to go above and beyond in order to help. Everything is always dealt with quickly, efficiently and professionally, but still feels personal as Claire has a very warm and friendly personality. I did not have much communication with the rest of the lettings team, but when I did George and Elle were always very helpful and polite. So glad I found the team at William H Brown!

Subsequently changed from selling to a let at short notice, and this was taken on very effectively by Claire at Holderness Road, who kept me informed of progress, always responded quickly to emails and phone calls, and guided me through the procedure and paperwork with expert knowledge. Clearly a well run office. If Claire was not available, Nina was always on hand to advise or pass on messages.

Absolutely terrible experience with William H Brown. We had arranged for a viewing of a property with an employee.
We were unsure when we could attend due to my work hours, so we asked if we could call back. We then did and arranged a viewing for the next day. As she said she didn't want to wait in the cold, we arranged the meeting to be after another person.
We arrived and waited for a half an hour before calling. When we did call, they said that they would have to do it another day. The property agents only then held themselves accountable and came to the viewing when a second person complained.
When the letting agent arrived (after an hour past the arranged time), she spent the first five minutes being rude to and gaslighting myself and my girlfriend who arranged the meeting, and then went on ignoring us though the whole viewing.
This is a company I hope to never have to use again. Not only were they prejudiced based on age, but they were completely rude and unprofessional.

Due to personal circumstances I have had to sell my property. I did the usual thing and got several Estate Agents round to view and for valuations. Julie came to see the house and instantly was warm, friendly and understanding regarding the situation. She gave fantastic advice and was the only agent that I saw that genuinely wanted my property on their books and was confident in getting a sale. I listened to her advice and decided to take the premium package to get professional photos done.
Everything was arranged quickly and professionally. Photos were done in a timely fashion and looked amazing.
After my property was on the market for only 24 hours I had my first viewing and the buyer placed an offer the next day. The buyer was already looking through William H Brown so it is obvious that the agent is very pro active in marketing.
My house was sold STC within 3 days of going on sale. This is due to the professionalism and advice from the branch.
Rachel has been first class in keeping me informed and up to date with everything and I am now looking forward to a smooth transition.
Just need to find myself something now.

Once that was sorted we had the keys in a couple of days. Really happy and pleased with the house.

Rented through them and our agent Holly was absolutely fantastic. She helped us every step of the way liaising with the landlady who lives abroad. A few hiccups with referencing later we got moved in quickly and easily, the only downside was the management company automatically moved the energy and gas provider to a company called Spark, so we've got to wait for them to take over until we can change, but that's not a deal breaker. Lovely house, nice area, and fantastic support, even after they've sealed the deal

I used this branch to sell our house following a recommendation. They certainly talked the talk until we had signed the contracts. Upon signing the contracts it took nearly 3 weeks to advertise the house, even though we were promised a maximum of 5 days. The first draft of the sales particulars looked as though a 5 year old had drafted it. So we had to write our own. They wouldn’t put on a floor plan unless we paid another £300. Bearing in mind we were already paying them £1800. So we had to draw our own floor plan and send it to them. We stated we wanted a ‘for sale’ sign up but this did not turn up for 5 weeks after at least 4 phone calls. They would not return phone calls. They promised the would get the best price for our house which they didn’t, they strongly advised we accepted the offer we had, as the house market looks to be slowing. Only to find out a couple of weeks before completion that the person buying our house was friends with the estate agent. Very disappointed.
