Purchase of (hopefully) our last home. Four moves in ten years to achieve this. The team were very accommodating with our wishes to visit the property multiple times. They were very calming on the last day when completion didn't happen until nearly 4:15 and were happy to have an agitated customer prowling in the office, whilst waiting for the keys.

I bought my first flat through William H Brown in Newark and throughout the whole 6 month process, the only helpful person was Tiffany.
Once I had booked a viewing, I was recommended to book an appointment with a mortgage advisor, despite me saying that I wasn't interested in this. I can't remember her name but she seemed to push me into buying a mortgage product from them which I had no intention of doing. Especially since I would have to pay upward of £1000 for the advice, application, and completion of the mortgage.
The beginning was a shambles as nobody ever got back to me regarding my offers meaning I had to constantly phone up to chase them.
During the last few months, Tiffany was exceptionally helpful. In fact, I don't think it would have gone through without her help. She was a fantastic middle-person between my solicitor and the seller's solicitor who didn't seem to be communicating with each other properly. I can't express how helpful she was and hope every person there can learn from her. Tiffany Lovatt, you are an angel and I would not be in my own little flat without your help. Thank you. Thank you. Fantastic service provided by Ms Shewley Begum in Newark Nottinghamshire. Abbie King was our prime contact at the office; The preliminaries were completed efficiently and the final online brochure was excellent, including first class photographs.
The house was only on the market for 10 days or so before we accepted an offer. Disappointingly this fell through after a couple of months and Abbie used her initiative to recontact a prospective buyer who couldn’t proceed at the start of the process. She discovered their circumstances had changed and she handled the subsequent price negotiations well.
Exchange and completion took some months, no fault of Abbie’s, and throughout this time she displayed objectivity, patience and empathy with ourselves. Her maturity in listening to us and working on our behalf were a plus point in our good experience of W H Brown Estate Agents.

I was left entirely in the dark throughout the sale, only receiving updates from my ex partner with whom I owned the house. After learning that he was being contacted on Whatsapp instead of email, I contacted the agent on Whatsapp so that I too could be informed of updates this way. Despite having both of our emails and phone numbers, the agent continued to only contact him, promptly informing him of any updates while I was left guessing. Since the sale I have learned that some personal property of mine was found by the buyers and the agent once again contacted my ex partner about this instead of me and took his permission against my will for my property to be thrown away. I am incredibly disappointed and feel very let down by this company.

I can honestly say the service we received from WH Brown has been outstanding; both Abbie and Tiffany were absolutely brilliant! We (Positive Homes Ltd) developed The Newlands in Fernwood, Newark in 2019/20. The scheme became a national award winner - nine super energy efficient homes, perfect for first time buyers. This was the second time we had worked with WH Brown, who simply could not have done a better job.
As a small business, we relied very heavily on the team in the Newark office (and beyond) - not just to market the homes, but to handle all the stuff you don’t see (including Help to Buy paperwork). I wish I could leave more stars. The staff at the Newark branch have been nothing but exceptional, especially Tiffany and Nicole. I have recently purchased a property that was listed with this branch and throughout the process Tiffany regulary contacted me to provide updates from the vendor or his solicitors. They went above and beyond any of the other estate agents in the chain, with Nicole taking the lead contacting all the solicitors when they were delaying exchange of contracts and completion. When you consider I wasn't paying their fees I was blown away with the service. I’m no fan of estate agents if I’m honest, due to one blatantly lying to my wife years ago. However I can honestly say that W H Brown were great. Good communication and they were the only agent out of the five valuations I had that didn’t ask me who else I’d had round, and what they valued at ( of which, one valued at 35k less than what W H Brown sold it for ) . Hi Tiffanny. I am really sad that our almost year long search for a new home did not materialise. We knew from the beginning that we would not be able to replace our two, double bedroomed home with anything as good because we would only have the monies available from our sale after fees. This would have amounted to around 178K and nothing else. Despite this, you have been very helpful and accomodating.Especially throughout my wife Liz's illness and hospital treatment. Your attention to our needs was much appreciated and the way in which you were able to bear with us over the months of our difficulties was exemplary.
Moving was not to be however and for us, plan B is now in place.

I am not someone who usually writes reviews on companies performances. However, it is fully justified on this occasion. The whole team, but especially Nicole, worked to a level I would never have expected or indeed experienced in any previous house move. Professional, prompt but more importantly, friendly and forward thinking. As I was not local for the majority of the sale, she went above and beyond to organise work/quotes/visits on my behalf, absolutely outstanding service. The sale took a lot longer then expected through no fault of William H Brown, but Nicole constantly kept me updated and that assurance was very much appreciated. I could not recommend them highly enough!!

Don’t send out new recruits with not a lot of knowledge !
I viewed a property with you, & the young girl clearly didn’t have much of a clue.
She confused the street name even, & an offer had been made on the property & I felt this was a waste of time to even go & do the viewing.
A follow up call was not made the next day but two days later.
Please be more ‘ on it’ !

I am so glad I used WHB to sell my house. Right from the word go I was made to feel like part of a family, not just a customer. Nicole was amazing, as were all the staff involved, Ryan, Curtis, Tiffany, and Mia. Each one went out of their way to make my house sale and purchace run as smoothly as possible. I was kept up to date with every step of the process. Each time I rang with a question or worry, and I had many, it was answered and my stress was put at ease. Nicole in particular is amazing, she was like a best friend, a sister, even a mother, such was her kindness and willingness to help. If you are going to sell your house, then put your trust in these guys. They take the stress and pressure and make it simply dissapear. My house sold AND completed within 8 weeks. Thats fast. I am so happy in my new house, I smile inside and out, and all because of WHB. Carlsberg dont do Estate agents, but if they did........ :-)

I had my house valued by 3 different agents before deciding to list with William H Brown. Ryan came out to do the evaluation and within minutes I knew that I would list my property with them. He was so friendly and helpful, explaining things in as much or as little detail as I needed, it just felt right and so much more personal than any other agent I saw. They also valued my property the highest which was a bonus. Before we even hit the market Nicole had lined up a viewing for us and although we had other viewings we sold our house to this buyer and we were so happy with the price as well. Nicole has been incredible for us, keeping me in the loop every week, chasing everything through so quickly, understanding my anxiety and assisting keeping the developers we are buying from in the loop as well. I can't recommend highly enough, and I can't thank them enough for doing such a fantastic job with our sale. Note - to anyone reading this who is inveigled into thinking about using Countrywide Conveyancing, one word - DON'T.

Regular up dates and everyone in the office were aware of our situation and made sure we were kept informed and our wishes were kept too. We had a house cat and they all made sure she was safe when viewings were taking place. Nicole made sure we were looked after from the very start and is still helping us find our dream home. We found a property using rightmove that was advertised with WH a brown and another estate agent. We called and chatted to both agents before booking a viewing via WH Brown. We choose WH Brown because the photos and description were better of the property and from the very first call we received excellent customer service. We made a couple of back and forth offers before agreeing on the sale price, but even then the customer service from WH Brown continued to be exceptional.
From offer to moving we did have a very turbulent 12 weeks and numerous issues with paperwork and solicitors but we finally got moved. Although Emma & Nicole we not our selling agent they showed us a lot of patience and always amazing customer services from all the team at Newark. They showed support and understanding above and beyond what was expected - just wanted to say many thanks to all at WH Brown espically Emma & Nicole for helping us with a long stressful journey. I called several (4) times to book a viewing on a property in Newark. At no point did William H Brown seem interested in organising a viewing, they were only concerned with getting me to move my house to them to sell. (i sold with Purple bricks in a week, it was no fuss and i got more than anticipated for the house).
However they kept calling to follow up with pointless sales calls, no properties of interest and just wasting my time, wanted me to get my mortgage arranged through them, wanted to organise my conveyancing etc..., i have now blocked Joel, hopefully they don't get any properties we want to buy, i'm getting sick of this dance.
I would not advise approaching William H Brown to organise a viewing unless your heart is set on buying a specific property, they are more annoying than PPI.
