Sarah helped me move into my new property quickly as I was moving to start a new job and she was very flexible with helping me move in. Adam was fantastic in helping resolve a dispute. I would highly recommend this estage agent, lovely staff who are very efficient and customer-centered.

Sue and the team in cumbrian properties were excellent in being able to help me properties within my catchment areas and keep me informed ahead of the market on potential housing. Would definitely recommend to others, as the service was spot on.

If you rent from Northwood take your time and go through everything that seems not right (although you might risk to "lose" the property you're interested in, if you complain too much) Keep everything email documented.

Nicola was the complete professional, friendly and well informed about the area so able to suggest a clear marketing strategy if I was to go ahead with sale. Also offered advice on what would be required (or not) in order to achieve the best for the property. Still deciding whether to go ahead, but would be more than to use their services or recommend.
7th Feb 2025 (11 weeks ago)Sarah Beales from Cumbrian Properties came to take details and took photos. It was advertised on line within a couple of days. 2 viewings were arranged 1 week later and a sale agreed. They have kept me well informed. I would highly recommend them.

31st Jul 2024 (8 mo. ago)Our overall experience with Bettermove is one of disappointment. They sold a model whereby they would market our property to their pool of investors. Essentially they put our house on Rightmove for a slightly higher price then they said they would pay us and left it there. I had to chase for updates and when they responded it was to say that their investors thought the price was an issue! So why didnt you speak to us about that and say what we thought to reducing. I dont actually think they've got investors, just people who want a cash purchase in certain areas. Fortunately we didn't pay Bettermove any money for their services and we ended the contract as soon as we could

21st Mar 2025 (5 weeks ago)Best estate agents in Cumbria. When selling our house we initially overlooked Lakes Estates and went for an established regional agent. That was a mistake. That established agent rested on their laurels and ultimately proved totally ineffective. However, despite initially rejecting Lakes Estates, when approached a second time Glenn happily took over and marketed our property at an increased selling price, achieving a sale very quickly. He knows the market and what buyers want. His approach is personal, professional and ultimately highly effective. He is open and honest - refreshing qualities for an estate agent. Office Manager Hannah is diligent, polite and also extremely efficient in her role. Nothing is too much trouble for her. We encountered some minor issues during the sales process that Hannah easily took in her stride. If you are in Cumbria, these are the agents you should use.
