19th Sep 2024 (9 mo. ago)Really poor experience of being a buyer through Remax, the house purchased was not as described or accurate according to Home Report. On entry to our home, no message to wish us all the best, no hot water, all the heating needing changed and based on the description was disgraceful. We asked questions at the viewing and told all was working and there hadn't been a leak which there had and now having to pay £10k on heating which was reflected as a '1' on the home report. TBH I don't think they asked the sellers any real questions and just marketed, took the money and moved on.

19th Apr 2022 (3 years ago)Could not recommend this landlord at all for a domestic rental. Negligent from the get go, reported smoke alarm several times but they didn’t care to fix it. Agent at the time of entry made a note of it and did nothing putting 2 adults and 4 children at risk. If I could give zeros stars I would have, avoid at all costs. Try to use scare lingering tactics to recoup deposits, fabricating pictures that again where present before we took on the proeprty

8th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)Called to get advice about fly tipping on City Property land. I was told I would receive a call back. No one called back this is the second time there has been no reply. Also happened to my neighbours about the same area.

27th Nov 2021 (3 years ago)Property had severe damage for over a year before moving out and could not get anybody to repair it. I moved out months ago and have only just been offered a very small fraction of my deposit back even though we tried to hard to get it so perfect for moving out. Terrible correspondence and communication and Ive now had to contact a third party who are thankfully on my side and not surprised by this - shocking!

Highly recommended.- 5th Mar 2025 (18 weeks ago)I met Colin Young whilst looking to buy a property in Carluke. He had the perfect flat for me, requiring renovation and updating. He continued to give me information and anything else I asked for so, after renovation, I didn't hesitate to put it back on the market with Colin. Almost immediately the viewings came through and due to his professional experience, got the price I was looking for and concluded to a speedy sale. I, therefore, have no hesitation, whatsoever, in recommending Colin Young with Remax.

Friendly enthusiastic approach from the get go and a clear vision on how to market our property to get the best result. We were recommended by a friend and will now recommend to others. 3rd Sep 2022 (2 years ago)Very unprofessional service from Corum especially in terms of the marketing materials. The floor plan they made was nonsense, the marketing text had clearly been thrown together and was riddled with mistakes (you would think an estate agent would know what is and isn’t a bay window?). I spent far too much time chasing them up to correct mistakes a school kid should have spotted. It’s clear they just want to collect their (fixed) fee for as little work as possible.

13th Nov 2023 (1 year ago)Upon moving out, I repeatedly contacted them to release my deposit. Unfortunately, even after a month has passed, my deposit remains unreleased. Following persistent follow-ups, they informed me that they had hired a "sparkle clean" service and would be sending me an invoice for the cleaning expenses. Ironically, I had already hired a professional cleaner to ensure the property was left in impeccable condition before my departure. The house was in a cleaner state than when I first moved in. It is disheartening to note that despite my efforts and the clear state of the property, they continue to withhold my deposit. Their reluctance to return the deposit, coupled with their evasive actions, strongly suggests unethical practices. They are absolute scammers, and I strongly advise others to avoid engaging with them at any cost.

Blair was with us all the way from initial contact to point of sale and it really felt like a personal service. He listened to us throughout the marketing/viewing stage and we talked on a near daily basic. We felt had Blair a fantastic knowledge of the housing market, especially in the west of Edinburgh and this is the reason we chose Curran & Co to market our property in Murrayfield. Blair even looked after our property after we had moved out to go travelling prior to the completion date. If you want an individual service I would definitely recommend Blair and Curran & Co. 10th Jun 2025 (28 days ago)I have bought 2 properties with Gavin and Arrowhead after trying 3 different well reviewed mortgage brokers and from my experience I can say that they are by far the best on the market. Where others fall short with late replies and lack of attention to detail Gavin and his team excel, with the combination excellent knowledge, very timely replies and honesty (everything is discussed and there are no surprise charges). If you are looking to Buy/Sell a property or to have your rental properties managed, I believe Arrowhead offers the best service at very competitive prices.
