6th Apr 2024 (16 weeks ago)Our experience with Mov8 was easy they kept us informed with viewing and communication was prompt. The only thing was their offices are in Edinburgh and Glasgow and we are in Carnoustie which was a little inconvenient if we needed to go to their office to sign things
14th Mar 2024 (19 weeks ago)Lack of communication and not pro-active as I had to instigate them doing anything. Pricing is terrible everything is an extra add on with vat on everything. Too expensive for lack of contact and or proactivity.

I recently sold my house, and from the very first conversation about the valuation it was plain sailing. They have everything organised including the home report survey and the solicitors. Cormac and Victoria really made the whole experience as smooth as possible and I highly recommend them.

20th Dec 2023 (7 mo. ago)Absolutely pathetic service. We we lied to from the onset. Rod wouldn't get back for up to a month at a time. Carried out useless work for over inflated prices without permission. Incidentally nothing materialaliaed with anything that he said he had done. Sorry excuse of an Estate Agent and I would keep away real nightmare of a man. He would phone up every 3 to 4 months and say how much did you pay for your property originally and did this for years.
6th Feb 2023 (1 year ago)If it was possible, I'd have given Abbey Forth zero stars. Here's my experience with them: The place I rented from Abbey Forth had not been cleaned when I moved in. It was in a disgusting state with several broken fixtures. I took many photos and informed them that, because I was having to clean my new flat, I wouldn't be paying for the place to be professionally cleaned when I moved out. Throughout my year at the property, they were unprofessional and unhelpful when other problems arose: trying to charge me for boiler repairs (a boiler which was leaking on day 1), failing to resolve a drainage issue outside the kitchen door and, worst of all, falling to resolve an infestation of slugs in the kitchen - an obvious health hazard. When I moved out, they unsurprisingly tried to deduct £190 from my deposit for cleaning. I successfully disputed this charge with the deposit scheme, using the pictures and emails I'd sent them over the length of the tenancy. The deposit scheme found that, as the property was not cleaned to a good condition for the start of the tenancy, that I should only having to pay £60 In summary: Abbey Forth is the worst estate agent I've ever used. Rude staff and a general ethos of trying to squeeze money out of tenants for as little effort as possible. Only sign up with them if you are desperate and have no other options. If this is the case, then please make sure you document everything for inevitable struggle to get your deposit back

21st Jun 2024 (5 weeks ago)We wouldn’t use anyone other than Simple Approach now. Having used them twice to sell properties I strongly believe there is no one else in Perth offering the same service that they do. Both properties have been marketed quickly, sold quickly and achieved well above home report value. All viewings were attended, their opening hours are really good allowing for late/weekend viewings which many estate agents/solicitors in Perth don’t offer. Alison is extremely knowledgable about the Perth property market and will do her very best to achieve you a good price with the best service, Thea in the office was quick to respond and answer any questions we had. We have had poor experiences when viewing other properties with other agents and it really does highlight the service that they offer. Thanks Simple Approach

Very knowledgeable, professional, and they really care about their customers too. They will always steer you in the right direction, and achieve the best price for your home 10/10 ????.

Adam, Mharie and Michaela in the sales team were very helpful and special thanks to Lenka the conveyancing solicitor who really went above and beyond to help me with a few issues I had. Thanks folks

From start to finish they have been amazing in helping me through the process, keeping me updated, and finally selling my house within 4 days. I have bought quite a few houses in my time and this is definitely the best Estate Agent I have ever used.

5th Jul 2024 (22 days ago)BE VERY CAREFUL!!! Once these lot have your deposit they ignore you. We agreed to buy a buy to let from these and went through the mortgage application with our own agent. We then found out they had overvalued thr property by a fair amount, not allowing us to get a mortgage. We were then told we had to use their mortgage person, which cost us another £300 but we had no option. They also could not get us a mortgage because the value was less than 50k. Upon telling these lot, they are now ignoring our calls, you can't speak to the refund team as only on email, no managers have phones and they won't give us our deposit back even though it states we are entitled to it back for following their stipulations. I'm no being ignored by the salesman Jack and no one will return emails etc. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman too, to highlight this appalling service and blatant overvalued to gain mortgage applicants. They had the same listing on their site for £52,500 and £46,000. We found this after we had agreed a price. So be very careful not to deal with these people. They are rude and have total lack of customer service once they have your deposit. Zero stars from me!!!
