Wainwrights were great and when we found our perfect property they helped everything run so smoothly. A big thank you for all their advice and assistance. Lovely people.

29th Mar 2023 (2 years ago)Avoid this Lettings agency at all cost, they do not keep up to date with legal requirements for rental properties eg; provision of carbon monoxide alarms etc. Communication extremely poor or non existent. They will not repay your deposit back at the end of the tenancy. Had to get a statutory declaration signed by a local solicitor and sent to the Deposit Protection Scheme in order for the deposit to repaid in full.
4th Jun 2025 (15 days ago)I am absolutely disgusted with Bettermove!! They offered to buy my house for a fixed price, having deducted 20%! Which is what I told them I wanted a 'quick' sale. They offered of 2 options. Or, they said they could market it for a month AND actually LIED and stated they HAD investors INTERESTED in MY property!! Within a week I realised they had NO investors!! So, when the 'month' was up I asked if they would buy the house for the price they had stated instead. They said they would take a FURTHER 20% off AGAIN!!! Had they told me this would happen in the first place I would've just sold it to them!!! AND, in the process, they have DEVALUED the market value of my house!!! I think its absolutely disgusting that they seem to act without any conscience. They lie and are not up front with what the options really are. They have set my house selling back by possibly years now!! If there were an Ombundsman or official way to report them I would do so!
27th May 2025 (23 days ago)Started the process of selling my house after speaking to Adam. He was very understanding and guided me the whole way, until it was handed over to their sales team who kept me updated on any progress made. Good communication feom everyone I spoke to.
4th May 2025 (7 weeks ago)House went on the market on the Wednesday and sold for asking price on the Saturday.

5th Oct 2023 (1 year ago)After my mother passed away we had to sell her house. I knew nothing about estate agents or the value of my mothers property but our daughter had recently bought a house via Mayers and said that they were good. We looked up and down the street and out of 5 estate agent boards that were visible 4 were from Mayers. So, with 1 personal recommendation and 80% silent recommendations we decided to go with Mayers. We weren't disappointed. As an aside, during the selling process we had reason to meet our buyers. They also had nothing but praise for Mayers.
