5th Feb 2025 (7 weeks ago)We bought our house through Gascoigne Halman, Whaley Bridge and were very impressed with their communication. Specifically, Emma was always on hand to respond to emails and calls and kept us updated with what was going on further along the chain. Emma was extremely helpful in communicating with our buyers, our buyers’ solicitors and relaying information back to us. We would definitely recommend buying or selling using Gascoigne Halman, Whaley Bridge due to their efficient, professional and personable service.
10th Nov 2024 (20 weeks ago)We are in the process of buying a property through this branch at Jordan Fishwick and I really cannot recommend them enough!!! Jemima is our agent and she is truly outstanding!!! From initially listening so attentively to what we wanted, our time and budget restraints she went over and beyond and found us a beautiful property!! She demonstrates without a doubt that she truly wants to help and clearly cares about her clients!! Nothing is too much trouble, communication is superb and we really do feel we are in a “safe pair of hands” given how stressful the process can be!!! So far everything has been seamless and we look forward to the completion of our property and can confidently say, that Jemima will no doubt continue to be a huge support!!

I felt well looked after and received useful advice along the way - especially when the market changed very suddenly and I needed to make decisions regarding possibly dropping the price. They lied about the state of the property and they tried to get their own person to do the survey so it would be "quicker" and communication with the owner was hostile. I would never want to buy/rent/sell or let with this company ever.
18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

31st Jul 2024 (7 mo. ago)Our overall experience with Bettermove is one of disappointment. They sold a model whereby they would market our property to their pool of investors. Essentially they put our house on Rightmove for a slightly higher price then they said they would pay us and left it there. I had to chase for updates and when they responded it was to say that their investors thought the price was an issue! So why didnt you speak to us about that and say what we thought to reducing. I dont actually think they've got investors, just people who want a cash purchase in certain areas. Fortunately we didn't pay Bettermove any money for their services and we ended the contract as soon as we could- 18th Aug 2023 (1 year ago)Absolutely dreadful company. Communication had to be prompted from the start, no viewings until I suggested changes to the advert, the is no responsibility taken by the staff. They are more happy to ignore your questions and hope you go away. Steer well clear

22nd Jan 2025 (9 weeks ago)Our experience with Moore Home was exemplary, this was a difficult sale due to the property being split into two flats with different owners. Moore Homes marketed the whole property and the flats individually, quickly finding a buyer for the whole property. The sales staff were knowledgeable and informed all parties of the progress being made through to completion. We would have no hesitation in recommending Moore Homes either to market your property or to purchase through.
