30th Oct 2026 (2 days ago)Lancasters continue to disappoint me. They don't respond to emails, and give fake promises over the phone. I have been nothing but patient and polite. But it's beyond ridiculous how they have treated me with such disregard as a tenant.<br><br>I've made another report 6 months ago and absolutely has been done.<br>There are issues with damp and black mold, blocked plumbing, freezing draughts, leaking roof. (Most of which has actually been reported as far back as 2024.)<br><br>When I moved into the property they said it would be deep cleaned. It wasn’t. It took a full day of cleaning before moving our belongings because it was absolutely filthy.<br><br>After a few months I noticed many poorly done fixes to make the house appear rentable. Alot of things had just been left broken or unusable even though there was plenty of time for it to be fixed beforehand.<br><br>I'm extremely disappointed in Lancasters lack of service and professionalism.<br><br>Edit in response to Lancasters: Not even 3 days after this review was made my partner was contacted by the agent who is in charge of this property to ask if we had left the review. He asked me to remove his name from the review which I did, (through gritted teeth) but this was the only reason we were contacted and the only reason why any works took place. It took naming an agent and to actually get something done. (Even though that something hasn't been completely resolved.)<br><br>It took over a month for the repointing to be done to the house and for extractor fans to be put in the kitchen and bathroom (which somehow don't help)<br>The house is still freezing, the roof is still leaking when it rains and the toilet is still backed up. As of October 2026 it's now been EIGHT MONTHS since I've reported the leak and the plumbing. I contacted your "unnamed agent" again last week asking for an update and was fobbed off. Again.<br><br>So we're back to square one.<br><br>Also to try and gaslight your tenants by saying the review isn't verified because I'm not using the name on my birth certificate as a username is ridiculous to say the least. I feel like ripping my hair out every time I have to attempt contact with Lancasters to be met with dismissive responses.

Although Bridgfords weren’t acting as our agents, they were extremely helpful and professional throughout the process. Harry was fantastic in ensuring we had all the visits we needed to ensure we could make an informed decision. Chris and Steve were great in guiding us through the actual purchase. We have no hesitation recommending Bridgfords Disley.

The communication and support I have received and continue to receive is very impressive so I do not feel I am alone as I go through this process. The photographs of my property were taken by a professional so online presentation is excellent. My experience is one of feeling valued as a customer. At each stage, we were in regular contact with Helen, who was our primary contact - but because of the lovely small team there, we felt we could confidently talk with any of the staff in the office and they were able to help us with updates. Their relationship with our solicitor was good and helped to knit our sales together effectively.<br>Moore Homes feel 'homely' unlike some of the larger, more corporate estate agencies available locally - and while you could also go with their suggested solicitor, I would strongly suggest that you do your own research before agreeing to use one of them.<br>Overall, we are very happy with the service Helen and Dan and their team provided and would recommend them to family and friends.
